to train a gible, but for some reason
I feel like there is rule with Garchomp.

Some pretty solid debates have been made here, smogon (and amongst many other Pokemon circles across the net in regards to the Chomp. If you want to know why it got banned here, here is a thread with some pretty solid arguement for Uber-banning the Ground/Dragon.

That's still not stopping you from training on, taking it onto PBR and wrecking havoc against random trainers, lol. It's possible things will chance once Gen 5 comes around, but we'll have to see about that.

Multiple comments have been made on how Garchomp forces many trainers with average experience to make their teams around countering Garchomp because of it's powerful stats and well rounded moveset instead of using their own well trusted pokemon team. I personally wouldn't have a problem with facing Garchomps, since I have Vexina to outrun and take them out, but not all trainers have or consider such possibilities. It is due to that (to use Kyrenx's term) Over-centralizing nature that it was and still is considered an Uber. Gen 5 may change that, but until at least a few months after it releases in Japan and we get solid information on a non-legendary pokemon that can wipe the floor with Garchomp and render it obsolete, we'll just have to wait and see.

I know the discussion has decided to Ban Garchomp! but i wasnt in the guild at the time! lol
i think Garchomp should be banned due to the fact that I hate that most people have to use it! It's just too strong! i love the thing, but I honestly hate going up against it even when it's 4x to Ice! just because I have an Ice pokemon that has Ice attacks doesnt mean i automatically kill chomp! the thing is Friken fast!, it can use Fire Fang! Even if the pokemon isnt and ice type and has Ice moves, Garchomp is open to moves that can take out all types and use them before you get to Ice Punch/Beam or what-ever!
I had to throw in my 2 cents worth!
