What drives ME to make new year's resoultions is just because I want to feel better about myself. I don't know about anyone else, but I like it when I feel prettier or sexier. That's why I make resolutions. (Adhering to them is another story...)
MY RESOLUTIONS:
*I will bellydance for AT LEAST 15 minutes a day. I've been slacking... *I will work on dropping a jeans size *I will care less what other people say about me *I will try to be less of a flirt *I'll write to my friends in the U.S., Philipines, Japan, and Canadia because i've forgotten to this past year *I will make better grades *And last of all: i'll try to be more friendly and helpful to everyone WEATHER THEY LIKE IT OR NOT!
*This is an edit*: I'd also like to work on my wicca commitments! As I am 14, I can start my initiation! (But i'd like to have one of my spells work...)

I don't want to feel better about myself, as I want to improve myself as a person. Whether it makes me feel better or worse is an afterthought. Ergo, I make resolutions to narrow my 'improvement' each year. This year is my social academia improvement year~
TAILY'S RESOLUTIONS LAWL:
* I will learn how to talk to people instead of clamming up. * I will pass my first year of university (thus leading me into further debt for a second year, and more evil exams~) * I will figure out (eventually) what my alcohol limit is. By lots of testing~! * I will not remain single. Self-explanatory.
... That's all I can think of.

Well, I promised myself to try and improve my socialness and to be less a**l retentive.
I also promised myself to try and find a job, even if I hate it, just to start building my funding pool. This is tied in with spending a little less time on the PC if I can.
I also plan to be more courageous and brave and to be bold regardless of the outcome - I'm sure that I can recover from whatever I fear the most.
The plan is to try and stop smoking by February but that may not really work, but it's worth the try I reckon!
I'm going to try and overcome my miseries and woes by being more proactive about my problems too.

New Years Ideas:
1) Win the Lottery without actually paying any money
2) Beat Oracle of Seasons, Ages, and Minish Cap
3) Work on my muscle mass, and on lowering my fat percentage (except in the boobehs *wink*)
4) Listen to music every day
5) Sing and laugh
6) Get married in a way that makes both Marcus and I happy
7) Have tons of sex
cool Have tons of fun
9) Get a nice career job after graduation
10) Find a moderately priced apartment to live with Marcus
11) Tell my family that I love them more often
And there must be more, but that's all for now.

I think people make resolutions in hopes of the New Year being more than it actually is. All too many people seem to see it as something "pure", "new born", "virgin". I don't know why, but too many people forget that each life does not have the loops of time, and a simple celebration cannot veto all that has come before it.
As for my resolutions, which I make despite all this;
1) To be meaner to the people I dislike. I'm generally too nice to them, especially considering that I'm meaner to the people I like. sad 2) To realize who I'm really in love with and tell them. It's weird, having been in love once makes it all the harder to recognize it again. I begin to believe that I am less lost than I really am. 3) To draw more. 4) To find a place just of my own, that no one else knows of. 5) To figure out what the hell is wrong with me. 6) To see myself the way other people do. 7) To sing more. cool To dance more. 9) To climb more trees. 10) To go swimming more. 11) To go hiking.
I might add more to this. sweatdrop

Relliving-The-Past I feel the odd man out after looking at all of yours.. It's okay, sweetie. I'm pretty odd, as I'm 14 (and everyone else is so old, and I'm wicca. Pretty much the only one i've met as of yet here.
