 [ just a drop of rain ] Ripely already hated the stormy weather to begin with because of how it affected his mind, the drunken (as Rivener seemed to suggest it was comparable to) haze that seeped over his usually sharp wit and reduced it to a cloud of confusion and calamity. He hated how the rain made his skin flair up and the lines of lightning run around him like he was some sort of maypole just waiting to be wrapped and played with.
