D's eyes are black. I wonder about his hair though, since on the covers of the books, the colour seem to change.

It's described in the books as long and black. So far, though, no details about the style (wavy, straight, etc.)

I have learned to ignore Amano's art. Beautiful, yes, but inaccurate. D also does not wear a cape, but a double-breasted duster coat. Kikuchi said that putting D in a cape would be too easy; cliche.

Angeles Valentine Vampire Hunter D: The Stuff of Dreams Quote: "How did you know I'd come." "That was the impression I got last night." As he finished speaking, the hospital director swallowed hard. D was calmly gazing at him. The black of his eyes, impossibly dark and deep, awakened fearful memories etched in the very genes of the director's cells. They're black. Exactly. In the novels they are distinctly said to be black. Any other variation shown in film or by Amano in his incredible art is artistic license. His hair is actually black too. >.> D is very monochromatic. ... Though I doubt his skin is actually the color seen in Bloodlust. It's probably more like in the original film: pale flesh colored.
