Yeah that sounds pretty close to folklore. Not mine really.
My vampires of course drink human blood, doesn't do anything special, but they need it to survive. They act like normal humans most of the time (around humans anyway,) but they have a separate (insanity) mindset that builds up as they ignore any feelings of bloodlust they have. They can snap at any time, and it's basically their "true" form, as monsters; what vampires really should be.
They also have the ability to disguise themselves as humans, via shape-shifting/illusion techniques.

One of the main characteristics of Alfonso is that he is incredibly nice to his friends, very open to them, but he will occasionally have a crazy moment and try attacking one of them. After each episode they trust him a little less and he becomes really embarrassed. Kind of cheesy, don't you think?

I'd read your vampire stories/novel. 3nodding

Also, is it illusion, or do they literally change shape? I think it would make more sense if it was like the wolf's illusion in wolf's rain, because shapeshifting is kinda a tired concept.

I don't blame you. Most furry/anthro artists are idiots. I didn't even know the word furry when I created my characters and now everyone says they are when I prefer the term "anthro", which is what I intended them to be. *cries* Ω

I know what you mean. I drew "scalies," which is a type of furry, before I knew the whole stigma about anthros.

I draw anthro from time to time, though it's not my favorite. You have to learn to tolerate the mean stuff.

I stick to anthro art, 'cause I suck at humans. But people gotta remember, if Matt Groening hadn't drawn bunnies, we wouldn't have much animated comedies.
