I'm a bit of a gamer myself. I'm mostly into RPGs and FPSs. Mostly PC games and Nintendo stuff, because those are what I have to play games on.
I played Portal recently. 'Twas epic awesome.

I used to be. Not so much anymore. Real time strategy games were up there for me back in the day, but I've always been an RPG guy. I still have the original Final Fantasy on Nintendo in cartridge form. ^_^
Recent titles have been Brutal Legend, UFC Undisputed 2009, and my bro and bandmate Nate made me play through the Gears of War games.
Here lately when I game it's just sports titles for fun with friends. Madden '09, NBA Live '08 and NBA 2k7. I have to say though, if I can get my PS3 going again, I'm all eyes for Hard Rain. The game looks sick.
Side note: I at first enjoyed the Guitar Hero/Rock Band games, but now I really can't stand 'em. Too much of a craze for me, and some people take the games way too serious. I'm happy just bassin' it up on medium and getting in the groove. Yeah, boy!

I've never played any FPS. Mainly stuff like Super Smash Bros.

I know what you mean there Wulf, Guitar hero has gotten out of hand, You can get a goddamn amp for you plastic goddamn guitar now...WTF?
I'm not really an RPG kinda guy, I play a few RTS's...Starcraft is insane.
I'm not a big fan of the Gears of War series the gameplay is nice and the weapons are pretty cool. But the characters and "story" are nothing special.
and the 1 shot sniper is a bit stupid when you think about it...
I got my first platnium trophy on new years, From Batman Arkham Asylum, Anyone played that? Cause its fan-friggin-tastic!

But I have fired a .50 cal, and seen the bullets up front, obviously. If you think a one shot sniper kill is unlikely, just look up an image of a .50 cal bullet and you tell me. That rifle would make red jelly of your intestines.

That rifle would make red jelly of your intestines. nah, You missunderstand...Reloading after every shot is a bit silly...I mean, were a squillion years in the future, we have Assault rifles with Chainsaws on them, but the Sniper rifle has 1 bullet in it? Unlike CoDMW2...unwhich the .50cal Berret doesnt kill in 1 hit stare @iiZombie I'd add you, but I dont have a 360. I dont wanna have to pay to play my games x3

WEEE GAMES!!! I play on my 360, there's a banner thingy about it at the top of my profile. Lately I've been hooked on Midnight Club LA, but I suck balls at it. gonk
I also have a DS where I'm currently playing Professor Layton games. cool
And I play Sims, Aion and WoW on the computer. Along with my NES and SNES emulators... pirate

I'm a bit of a gamer. I don't really have a specific type, though.. I'm a variety guy. Fighting games are things I tend to be good at without needing to try.. racing games seem to follow that same trend. I've played some number of RPGs, and a few RTSs... TPSs, and even the one type that I used to suck majorly at, which would be FPSs.. Feck, I just recently started up with a game I saw my friend play a while back, Clive Barker's Jericho.
