David GreysonSunagakure | Ichibi Host | GeninTactics | Speed | Strategy | InsanityLanding next to Zin, David diid a quick visual sweep of the area, before nodding to Zin. "There's an inn nearby, we can probably pick up some info there." He said, gesturing to a sign advertising the place. "I say we go there, and get some rest. We can look over our clues and look for information while we're there." After all, they had run all night to get this far, it would be nice to sit, or even sleep, for some at any rate, for awhile. And someone at the inn was bound to know if there was any ancient landmarks in the area. Zin nodded and moved along with David. The Inn was probably the best place to acquire information. Get a drink, sit amongst ninja and other individuals and collect information on the history and landmarks of the Earth Country. And with that,Zin would keep going and push himself away from the grips of sleep until they gained another artifact for the day. Every day counted![Exit to Inn]

This was the first time that Vincent had come to this part of the world but the name itself gave him chills. He had wondered why this place was called "Death Road" but then he stopped himself and thought that it was probably best not to think of such things and simply continue on his task of "Follow the Leader" and in this case that was Shinji.
Although, he was curious to see if any of the other artifacts had been found. Opening the scroll he saw that clues 2, 4, and 7 were gone. He remembered that number 2 was gone before he and his team got to Konohagakure and that number 7 was in their possession.
"Shinji," Vincent called, "Is clue number 4 the one that you think is the one we're going after? It appears someone has gotten it."

Konaga Shinji | Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin | Death Road's going was easy, but then again it always was. The reason for it's name was due to the high degree of risk involved in merchant travel on the road, as many of the rock outcroppings made for ideal ambush points... not to mention that even the view of the Iwagakure was lower then the road, making assistance unlikely to come unless someone is already traveling the road. This however, was Shinji's home, so he traversed the terrain without much trepidation, but was well aware of possible danger, as he carefully checks each outcropping with his peripheral vision as he passed.
About halfway there, with the team still running strong, Yamatano keeping up in silence, Vincent caught up with Shinji, holding the artifact scroll list as he mentioned that Artifact 4 had been obtained. "Hmmm, well that was one of the ones I had in mind for the region... but there are others. If someone got that one however, we need to hurry to Iwagakure to beat them to my other leads, as they are surely in the area. I would say we should pick up the pace, but I've already been running at full speed. We'll just have to hope we get there first."
His resolve refreshed, Shinji continued on, his teammates following behind loyally. all in all, he was glad he had gotten the team he had. He didn't know them well, but from what he did know, he could tell they were reliable and dependable ninja. "We've also been running non-stop through the night as I'm sure you've realized. I think it might be best for us to rest after we attain another artifact. We can only attain one a day anyways, so some brief rest in between might do us good. We have to sleep sometime or we'll be in no condition to defend ourselves should a fight erupt."

There was logic to what Shinji was saying. Vincent could feel a little fatigue coming over him but still the task of getting the artifacts still weighed heavily on his mind especially how there was very little time to attain them all.
With that in mind he continued to follow Shinji's lead.

On Death Road once again, Vincent knew of the village that they were heading towards next. It was one that many stories had been spun both within and about those who had visited it but he had learned to read between the lines when it came to such stories.

Konaga Shinji | Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Genin | They had all been running for a while now, Yamatano leading without showing any signs of fatigue in his running as of yet. Shinji however was not at his peak, noticeably struggling at points as he grabbed his arm as he ran and slowed down for a few seconds before moving back up to speed. The exhaustion was starting to affect him and when waves of pain came, he had to struggle to keep his legs moving. A Konaga may seem like an endless well of chakra to all others, but past a certain point, everything becomes a struggle, which takes years of training, or rather surviving to even move beyond.
All of that said, Shinji was keeping himself afloat amidst the travel, unwilling to let it all affect him. he continued to push himself as he knew his body could cope with it all. Most of the time, a Konaga's performance when they had already done so much in the day was a mental battle rather then a physical one and as such, Shinji had remained silent for the entirety of the journey. As the forests approached, he concentrated even more on keeping his footing through the travel between the branches. Following Yamatano up into the treetops, Shinji mirrored his movements exactly until they arrived, leaping between the tree tops landing, only every few seconds or so to spring towards the next branch 25 ft or more away.

Vincent had noticed how every few seconds, Shinji didn't seem completely right but he wasn't entirely sure how to approach him about such a thing. Especially since Shinji had shown an rock hard resolve when it came to certain things. Still, in Vincent's experience it was the duty of someone within the team to look out for the well-being of the other members. If one person in the team has a problem then the whole team has a problem.
Unfortunately he had to keep up with them about this. Hopefully when they would stop to camp he would be able to confer with Shinji about whatever it was that was troubling him.

Aizen continued walking, walking always annoyed him. With how much traveling he did, one would think he would be use to it, but he never was, with sigh he turned around to see if Emily was still behind and and continued onward to the area surrounding the Leaf village. The thought of going to the Water Country pretty much revolted the young jounin, mainly because of his past. His uncle....his uncle was from the water country, and therefore the Water Country was heinous by association. Plus, Ryuji had never been that big on water, despite it being one of his main elements.
As Ryuji continued traveling, he stopped to look at a tree. The tree was fairly large, and as Ryuji continued further, he discovered the tree to be a Teak one. He smiled. Teak trees were known to be very durable. Perhaps training wouldn't be such a bad idea, especially since Ryuji was going to the Water Country, where he was no doubt a wanted criminal. 1/2 =======================================================
Half an hour later, Ryuji was still kicking the tree, his legs aching with pain. He did not stop, however. He wanted to increase his skill, and pain wouldn't stop him from doing that. At first, the act of kicking teak trees was a difficult one, mainly because of the thickness and hardness of it (BomChickaWahWah) But, as time went on, Ryuji had grown adapted to the wood, and he could feel that his kicks grew in strength. He stopped, deciding to finish his journey. His legs hurt like hell. As he walked, or attempted to, he moved with an odd limp, and more than one person stopped by and asked him if he needed assistance. [[exit]] 2/2

"Silence is key to a perfectly timed attack..." XXXIt was a dark night, one of the darkest that Gage had seen in Iwagakure. His eyes even took a long time to adjust, which was unusual for him. He had made his way out of the city by jumping of it's walls into the woods, from there he had to wait until the gates closed at sunset before setting out. The moon was fully out and Gage was a good several hours away and he knew it was going to be a long time before he would make it to the Mist Village. He had his mind set there, but for what reason he has yet to know. 'I need to pick up the pace...' He thought as he began running, doubling his speed. After another two hours, Gage saw the settings around him changed. The rough rocks that he was used to seeing began to sprout grass and in the distance he began to see trees. 'The Road is long and weary...' Gage thought as he stopped and looked at the way head of him. His village wasn't turning out to what he had hoped. Many of the ninja he knew where leaving, and he thought it was time for a change himself. Whether or not anyone knew he left was none of his concern. He knew he would probably be followed, but it didn't matter. He hoped to make it to the Mist before being caught. 'Not much time for a break...' He thought as he continued on. Oniwa Kye| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage ||| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile || As the Rocky Road came to it's end, meeting up with the Death Road in Iwagakure, Kye couldn't help but recall many of the events of her life which had brought her to the Earth Country. Early in her career, she had request an Earth Country outpost position to escape the questions and constant challenges of her fellow shinobi in Kumogakure. The frustration brought her here, a foreign country where she could grow and learn in private, while still serving her village. It was here she learned two of the four Taijutsu styles she knew, and had met countless people over the years. In fact, her first stop would be to visit her old friend Seijiro, the Clan head of the Konaga, to discuss several matters.
Walking down the road peacefully, Kye couldn't help but notice the increasing sense of worry she saw on traveler's faces as she approached them. She was a foreigner, that was easy enough to see, but it had never made her as feared as she was seeing recently. In some cases, people would wander off the road entirely, just to avoid coming into any kind of proximity to her. The phenomenon was rather strange and it made her think more and more on why the travelers/merchants of the Earth Country were acting the way they were. Perhaps something had happened?... maybe an attack of some kind which had made them suddenly untrusting of foreigners. Kye couldn't place the reason, but she was sure Seijiro would have some thoughts on the matter.
Continuing her march down the Death Road, Kye could see the stream of hardened molten rock which paved the way to the Stonebrook Settlement and meandered off the path to follow it. With her destination close at hand, Kye was more curious then ever to find out what Seijiro would say of such things. It would however be a good thing to catch up with her old friend... one of the few people in the shinobi world who knew her for who she really was.
