HAHAH. Kiddies and their fads. Sometimes I think that the ones like that only do it so that they appear rebellious or something.

When people tell me that because I have severe anger issues that I will NEVER make it as a Buddhist. Pisses me off to the core. Also, popping/smacking gum.

If atheism's a fad I've got a serious problem...cause I've been in the same fad for twenty years. <_<
(I jest.)

PerfectlyPagan This is not so. In fact, that is IGNORANT. Just because theists don't agree with a stance you take DOESN'T give you the right to make fun of them. A person's beliefs are a PART of them and that is a very personal thing to mock. No, it can't be proven that there are gods / a god. It can't be proven that there are aren't either. It's all a matter of FAITH.And if you're curious, i'm a Pagan. Not a fundamentalist of any sort. I am not at all offended by your beliefs, but instead offended by your lack of respect towards others.Stop acting so high and mighty. You're no better than anyone else. Oh, please. Everyone has the right to make fun of my beliefs, too, I don't mind. Making fun of someone's beliefs is a form of criticism, good or bad. If you make fun of my beliefs, and it's a lame attempt, I won't care. If it's a good point, that's better. But I'm never "offended" by it, nor am I "offended" by anyone's beliefs (I don't even get why you had to point that out, it would be silly to be offended by someone's beliefs). I ******** hate the word "offended". Everyone should stop being offended all the time, it doesn't serve any purpose.

Artto Agnosticism is about claiming knowledge. I don't claim that I know that there's no deities, but I don't believe there are. Atheism / theism and agnosticism / gnosticism are answers to two separate questions: what you claim to know, and what you believe. I'm an agnostic atheist, because I don't claim absolute knowledge (nor do I think anyone should or could). Atheism is the default position, simply because there is no evidence of deities. If I get presented with evidence, I'll believe it, if not - I have no reason to believe. You "I'm agnostic, because I'm open to other possibilities" types get on my nerves, because that implies that there aren't any atheists open to other possibilities - I'd go as far as saying that most of them are, because most atheist took this position because of the lack of evidence. Oh and: Quote: Who has the right to make fun of me for my beliefs? Everyone. smile Agnosticism is about claiming NO knowledge. And FYI, if you are open to the possibilities, that makes you agnostic. Theists believe in god or gods, Atheists believe in NO god or gods, and Agnostics claim to have NO knowledge of which side is correct.

THEISM/ATHEISM -> BELIEF GNOSTICISM/AGNOSTICISM -> KNOWLEDGE I've explained it a couple of times already. razz

Artto Quick rant: To whomever it may concern: Stop capitalizing words like atheist, agnostic, science, religion, etc. Thank you biggrin I capitalize Atheist and Agnostic because I recognize them as a group of people. Just like Christians, Atheists have similar beliefs so they could be considered a group. That's my reasoning behind why I do it.

But the one that frustrates me the most is "Science". It just makes my teeth grind. I sometimes get frustrated by what most people would think is irrelevant. My girlfriend hates it. biggrin

I get very frustrated with a lot of people and end up telling them off. It's mostly on Xbox. There are some winners on there! I cannot stand how little respect kids have nowadays...
