AlskaNoelle So Sentinel is more powerful when it comes to offense, but the Overseer counters with an equal amount of defense. Our teams completely counter each other.
Also, it seems that Sentinel is not the true leader of S.I.N. The voice is Jack, and he said "Lead my army". Sentinel isn't the enemy. She's just lost in darkness and being used like a pawn.
I pity her... she needs a hug and a fresh start- oh and a little of that evil influence on her head gone.

I actually like the worm thing, though. xD It's a neutral thing, because a worm, when viewed from our point of view- not a scientist's point of view, or anything like that- a worm is plain simple and has no defensive abilities [ie, shells, spikes, speed, etc] or offensive abilities [ie large teeth, claws, poison, etc]. I mean, at least it makes sense. It would've been stupid if the creature was like... a lion, or... a turtle. xD

AlskaNoelle For The Overmind I just actually bothered to read it, and I'll say yes, it represents a difference in principle. The SIN person (hate calling her that, but don't know what to call her) used her powers in the spirit of aggression. She decided to influence things to be aggressive, and as a result, became more aggressive herself when her powers reflected back at her. The Overseer urged caution, and tried to influence things to be more cautious and defensive, rather than the aggressive approach. As a result he became more defensive and cautionary when his powers were reflected back at him. Symbolically, this means that your actions are what make you, and that what you teach reflects what you are. And this event is probably going to center around a theme of conflict and peace, and how while they are opposed to one another, are important to keep each other in balance. Order and chaos, peace and aggression, that whole jazz. In the end "good" and "evil" cancel each other out, neither can really win. At least I think that's the angle they're going at. We've been calling S.I.N.'s leader Sentinel.
And yes, what is good without evil to call it good? If that made any sense...
In the beginning though, both were good. Then evil was discovered.....hm, maybe this is a little influenced by religion...
Regardless, my view on it is that our teams shouldn't be fighting. We should be working together to free Sentinel from her dark prison. I think that's where it's going to go.
Maybe not, but...S.I.N. IS going to let demons run amok in Gaia...still, I see your point. Knowing what happened, could you really fight?

Then again, Jack was the one who freed her from the box, but is taking advantage of her hypnotic state right now. She's been completely taken over by her powers. I wonder why the Overseer wasn't. He was just trapped.

It's the nature of the powers they used which is the difference between the two. Putting it in terms of Final Fantasy tends to help me... Say an enemy had "reflect" up, which reflects a spell back at the caster. It's like the difference between Sentinel casting "Bio" and having it reflected at her, and The Overseer casting a cure spell which is reflected back at him. Bio hurts, Cure isn't such a bad effect to get hit by.

True...the Overseer was trapped...but managed to calm down because he was underwater for thousands of years...maybe the water calmed him down. Made him find peace. Sintinel...being filled with raged, she lived with that rage in the box until Jack found her and convinced her to lead his army.

Adding onto all of this, I'm going to say that Gaia is going to probably steer this event's story line into a balance/friendship moral. (I don't have any problem with that, I'm sure no one else does either) I thought the whole earthworm thing was a little silly, but that's what makes Gaia, well Gaia. It does lead up to how the two ended fighting over their powers, and ended up having their actions take effect upon them, which is another great moral. I guess we'll just have to wait and see about how this turns out. Hopefully Sentinel will be saved from darkness in the plot.

They both went about it the completely wrong way. They should have just built the worm a radioactive super-suit.

A little toy to Jack burning_eyes Why do I have this feeling that BOO will actually win, and Sentinel will turn back to the good side, and together with the overseer they'll go off to fight Jack? That would definitely be the best story line Gaia ever made.
