xXHopless RomanceXx Moonlight Penguin those dresses are slutty and ugly. Bleh. People need to learn how to dress themselves, and Meyer is an idiot to go into such detail about the dresses. Couldn't agree more. Seriously, Rosalie's dress sounds like this whorish dress.  That's a prom dress? What good parent would let their daughter even leave the house in that, and most definitly what school would allow a student to go to prom with most of her boobs hanging out? I've actually drawn what I visualize Rosalie's dress would look like when I found a similar topic in the TwilightSucks forum... it sounds horrible, and if I'm right, looks horrible.I don't really like the dresses, except maybe Bella's, which is also the only dress I can picture a girl wearing to the prom.

Back to the topic though; I've seen many women dress like whores, and it's little wonder why these same women get raped. Okay, look. I think the blue dress, when not photoshopped and is the original color, is pretty but looks very expensive...which brings this question to my mind: The dress is probably designer and is probably expensive, to say the least. It's said or hinted in the book that the house Charlie lives in is small and rundown. Although he's a cop, you assume by the condition of his house, he doesn't make enough money to make any repairs. If this is the case, how is it that he can afford to buy Bella a dress like that (which IRL, would probably run into the thousands)? I don't know, it doesn't make that much sense to me.
Just my thoughts on Rosalie's dress. It sounds quite lovely. Though I don't quite understand Stephenie Meyer's reasoning for portraying her as a sex kitten of sorts if she in fact was raped in the past.

My friend dresses not skimpy or anything but when she goes to a party she looks like she's going to a party
And if she doesn't have anyone to go with she drags me along for the very purpose that I'm there with her and I'm very feisty(And I make her look better. It's like in Family Guy when Peter pays the ugly lady to stand next to Meg)
But at least women should carry pepper spray, and other things for protection.
My favorite is actually small bottles of perfume because it's like mace except you don't need a certificate to wield it
And also I carry pens just in case it goes bad (like Gross Pointe Blank bad where he stabs the guy)
