They say Bella's special. She's a total 1920s girl, that's special. 8D
Reason why Edward can't read Bella's brain: She doesn't have one. v.v

You know, there was something else I was wondering about Bella. I think the non-mind-readingness was part of the remains of another plot where Bella was an anti-vampire person. First of all, she was immune to Edward's mind powers. Secondly, she said she could smell blood, which Edward denied as humanly possible. And third, there was that randomly interjected part of when she was researching vampires when she found something about anti-vampires or something. I'm guessing that was the original plot.

Yep, she doesn't have a brain. You see, it was taken out at birth, making her special. When they tried to put it back in they realised she was pretty f'ked anyway and left her alone. smile .

Must have something to do with the fact that nothing is in her mind. I don't understand why the hell the vampires are still in highschool.. FAIL!

"Humans can't smell blood"? Silly Meyer, people can smell it too.
Bella is Mary Sue, that's all there is to it.

He didn't want to. It was the images that he had seen in his mind that made him lie.
It's called a repressed memory! xD

It's because he has a thing for her and Meyer wanted to make Bella seem like some sort of special person because her mind can't be read. At least that's the excuse for what we've been saying all along. There's nothing in her head to read. dramallama

Her brain WAS taken out at birth. Then there must've been some sort of mix-up at the hospital, and they put in ground beef in her head instead of a brain.
