I thought The Host was a lot better than Twilight (by far, better written, and more interesting). But it's still super simple and even though it's supposedly aimed for a more "adult" crowd, a 5th grader would have no trouble reading it.
For making it into a movie... I think it'd still be better than Twilight... but the Host is rather unoriginal... and... it's probably going to be rather... sucky. But-- not as bad as Twilight, I don't think.

It's such a great example of character driven science fiction, which is ideal for The Host, no? *head desk* I've never heard of that movie, but if she thinks it's "character driven", it's probably terrible. At least she's not touching any of the Doctor Who writers. I'd cry if she did. Actually, Gattaca is a really good movie, I'm horrified she mentioned it on her site. Now Twitards are going to think that by watching it they'll be sci-fi and biology masters and post crappy fanfiction about it. Oh God no! If they touch my Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I'm gunna have to choke someone! I've seen Twilight combined fan fiction of that.

Wasn't there a movie with a plot silmilar to "The Host" years ago? With the aliens taking over human bodies? O__o Wouldn't Meyer get sued?

I decided to see what books/tv shows/movies twitards have ruined and I saw that as one of them.
