Just finished Fire Red and Leaf Green. Holy crap, I want to kill the writer now... How can they just end it like that?!?! Now I'm forced to read about the adventures of that weird guy with a gem on his/her forehead (I can't tell Emerald's gender)

Still, I love how everyone that meets Yellow goes "And... older than me?! -looks at her lack of four inches-" XD

Emerald's a dude. I thought the transition from FR/LG to E was pretty dumb, too. Emerald's whole arc seems like they were drawing events/plot twists out of a hat of ideas. Or throwing darts at an ideas board.

How long had DP been released when they started the Emerald arc?

And ffft, they couldn't stop ignoring the third person. It wasn't that bad, but it certainly wasn't the most entertaining arc ever.

And ffft, they couldn't stop ignoring the third person. It wasn't that bad, but it certainly wasn't the most entertaining arc ever.

I'm not saying Emerald sucked or anything. Just that it seemed like, they got most of the way through the RS arc then remembered, "Oh s**t, there's still a third character to incorporate! ******** ******** ******** ********!" And just threw some stuff together and called it a day.

That's actually the kind of impression I'm getting from it. "Wait, why is Raikou here? ... Dude, is he an alien? Maybe he's a hippie! That would explain it! ... Did they even take a step back to look at this and realize 'Gee, this looks kinda off...'?"

I'm still on the first chapter; I'm trying to figure out what's gonna happen with the FR/LG characters, and it makes me too obsessed to read about a different character...

Don't worry, I'm sure I'll grow attached to this character... eventually...

Iunno, it might be way too late when they show you somewhat slightly redeeming qualities of his.

Ruby>Emerald. IMO.
