Meri was confused. "I died, but I am alive. This must be Heaven. Heaven or ..." She narrowed her eyes and spat on the ground, "Diablo! Demon! Monster! Why have you summoned me!?" She spat again. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." She began shouting off the prayer of David as she clutched the spot where her cross once was.

“Do you think you can make me tremble at those words? Oh no, my dear, oh no! Your God, whoever the hell he may be, can save you no longer! Green pastures? Still waters? They are no more!!” Kimiko laughed softly, yet powerful enough to make the walls around them rumble. “It is too late, Meri.” She could feel the shinigami reiatsu nearby, and it was almost scorching the flesh off of her to just sit there and have a chat with the woman whereas she could be hacking bones apart with her sword. “Come, let me show you some interesting people,” she spoke in a welcoming voice, her golden eye still eerily twinkling. She got up again and walked towards her, gesturing Meri to follow her out the door. Her stride was fast and steady, graceful yet rushed.
She wondered how the woman would react to the shinigami taichous. She wanted to see what her instinct was. As holy and innocent as she seemed, Meri must have gone through much bloodshed to get to where she was. Her son could have been a shinigami at this point, who knew. He may not be, but he was still in Soul Society somewhere, the place that these shinigami protected and inhabited. Kimiko wanted Meri to understand that the shinigami were people she was to destroy.

Meri removed the tanto from her side and cut the long robes into a skirt, followed by the removal of a single sleeve and a triangular shaped hole in the stomach. It would do for now. She debated plunging the blade into her stomach, but instead put it away and ran after the mysterious stranger.

Ink had dosed off for a good deal of the proceedings but had woken up when Meri entered. Despite the blood, he was glad he hadn't missed it. In fact, the blood was even a bit of a turn-on for him. Now I know why I joined this group, he thought. The nudity. Bored, he decided to follow Kimiko and Meri.
