LOL I'm sure Philly won't be ready for me next weekend either, but it's all good. hahaha
I'm there, Twinnie! Hopefully this won't be a terribly treacherous winter, but since it already snowed for the first time yesterday I'm not holding my breath on that one! LOL

EternalHearts Ugh! No kidding. I'm looking forward to getting through the tons of inquiries from girls wanting to be placed into Girl Scout troops--apparently there are a ton of them, and it's part of my new job to find/create troops for them. Lucky me.
Twinnie!! You should come up to Boston sometime during my winter break! good luck, I'm pretty much finished with scouts now. was a master for 23 years, and a comity char for a few. My youngest son who is an Eagle became an assistant scout master for a year then took over the job of venture scout master. He had to quit scouts all together because they store he has been working in just gave him a job as assistant manager (second in command at a Fred Meyers store}. Well you can tell your girls that going all the way can lead them to the top. Part of what got him that job was because he was active and an Eagle Scout. PS he is only 23 and all of the other managers are around 45 to 70 years of age.

WOW Ceymore, that is awesome. Congratulate your son for me. I'm really enjoying my work and volunteering, but it DOES drain on you. Luckily I can now get paid for a lot of the stuff that I would otherwise be doing as a volunteer--can't complain about that biggrin

Congrats to your son Ceymore! That does sound fantastic. I didn't know you could work your way to the top like that. I did a little bit of girl scouts when I was little, but I never really even got into the badge earning, which I regret now that I know more about it. I think I just didn't understand it, or get the allure of working/earning, so I never did it.
I neeeed a place to spill my story, and this is the best place I can think of! Facebook status doesn't give me enough room for a drawn out story, so I'm glad I'm connected to my friends still in a forum place like this! biggrin
We went to Albuquerque this weekend instead of last weekend, a change of plans mostly because one of our nieces was having a birthday party yesterday, and we know now it was a god-sent reason for us to be there Saturday. Our littlest nephew Andrew, the one who was born in a car and had heart surgery the following day because of a rare heart condition, he had another episode while we were visiting, where he stopped breathing and turned purple. This is the fourth time it's happened, and he's still having heart issues they're looking into. He was asleep in his car seat by my feet as I fed Lacey in the rocker, and he woke up and cried out once, long and hard, and then stopped breathing. Jason picked him up and he was purple and stiff, and then he went limp. He was trying to get him to breathe again on his own, but when he went all limp, he laid him on the couch and started doing infant chest compressions, and that's when I took Lacey off and hopped up to remind him to give him little puffs of air. It was the first breath that did it. He opened his eyes and looked at Jason, and got his color back. All during this, Jason's mom and youngest sisters, and Andrew's mom were all crying and screaming and running around. Nobody wanted to call 911 because they were too emotional to talk, but Andrew's mom finally did, although she went off into another room because she couldn't see him like that. A cop showed up first, and then an ambulance, and they took him in to get checked out. But his regular cardiologist wasn't on call, and the one who WAS on call didn't really understand his heart history and said "it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with his heart" although we know it does. The last few times it happened it was because he'd gotten a lot of fluid built up around his heart from the surgery, but when he was checked last Wednesday there was no more fluid. He's supposed to go in Thursday for another test because his EKG is reading too high, and it's either because a hole they made in his heart is starting to close up, or because the veins they reattached aren't growing with the heart. If it's the hole, they can do another surgery to open it up, but if it's the veins, there's nothing they can do. They're going to call his regular cardiologist this morning and tell him what happened and see if they can bump him up and do the test sooner.
What a scary event. I had adrenaline running through me for hours after it happened and I couldn't sit still. They keep thanking Jason for saving Andrew's life, and expressing how glad they are we were there this weekend. Jason and I both had to take infant CPR at the hospital before they'd let us take Amber home from the NICU. None of the others knew what to do, and we were the only ones who didn't panic. We've since shown them the basics of what to do, and they're signing some of them up to take the infant CPR class at the hospital now.

Oh my heavens, fawNie! I'm so glad that little Andrew was saved by Jason! That had to be so scary and stressful. I would have been a wreck!!! Thank goodness you both took infant CPR and were there when it happened. I hope they figure out what's wrong with the little guy and he's all right. I will keep him and your family in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted! xoxoxo

She called his regular cardiologist yesterday, and he was appalled that those on call Saturday who saw him said it was acid reflux. We all know it wasn't. He said it sounded more like a seizure to him, so he's at the ICU now having all sorts of tests done so they can hopefully figure out what's wrong before he has the test done Thursday where they put the catheter in his heart and take pictures to see if it's the hole or the veins that aren't growing. At least if he has another episode now, he's there in the ICU.

Wow, that's so scary Jaz. The only mishap I had as a baby was one night while my mom was at work. My father had me sitting on the couch with him. He turned to yell at the dog or something and I rolled off the couch. Needless to say, when Mom came home, he handed me right over razz
