This is SO true. I remember writing one of my stories, I'd rape the thesaurus for all it was worth. And I never realised the error of my ways until I picked up TWILIGHT.
So in the end, I'd have to THANK SMeyer for showing what I had done.

You have a good point, Jack. It also showed me that even though I'm very self-depreciating about my work, I might get my vampire novel published someday, as well. Twilight got published, after all.

My mother once told me, while I was writing about Twilight, that there may just be a college course in the future dedicated to dissecting books like Twilight. I told her I would take that course, if not be the teacher.

It passed the time. But then it just gave me an entirely new writing style...a bit cynical and a bit harsh.
stare But then...teenagers are generally sarcasm filled beings who love cracking jokes with subtle innuendos.

Incidentally, I saw a soap opera called Passions -which is apparently the crappiest soap opera because they're really probably tolling- had a character that was hit in the face with dangerous pool chemicals, but when you see the woulds, you barely even notice them, and they're not THAT bad. But oh, Pretty is all "People call me Frankenstein, monster, blah blah blah BAAAWWWWWW."
