Carcer stopped a moment and turned to his 'rescuers'. "My name is Carcer, inventor" He stated as he sat back down to catch his breath. He couldn't believe he had killed an Eternal. He decided to take a moment to examine his right arm too. There was a wound from where the blade had errupted, but everything seemed fine. "You wouldn't have happened to have recovered a little white tome from the city would you?" He asked remembering he had dropped it.

Illia seemed to come out of her daze when she heard the man speak about the Fire Eternal. Unlike Okua, she had grown up in a very religious environment, so of course she knew all about the Eternals.
Or at least she had. Religion had not been of much importance to her after she left her tribe, so she had pushed it to the back of her mind and had forgotten much of the teachings she had learned. However, she still remembered that the goddess had created the Eternals to do her bidding in the world.
“The Eternals…” she said to herself, her voice barely a whisper.
She said nothing more and returned to the deep confines of her own mind.

Okua hadn’t picked anything up of that nature, and nor did she remember seeing anything. But of course, she had been more focused on getting out of the area, so she could’ve easily overlooked it.
“No, I didn’t.” she said, “And I advise you not to go back and run through the flames in order to find it.”

Carcer let out a quick sigh "That is unfortunate" He stated as he once again stood to look around. "I think it would be best to head for Celes for now..." He sorta mumbled to himself. He still had a machine to complete and with Avos gone, he would have to move to destination 2. "You two are welcome to accompany me, so long as you keep your chatter to a mininum. I like to walk in silence"

Vison started to darken, and her veins roared with a raging pain as searing flames scortched her insides, but Meera kept running all the same. She was close to the gate which now towered high above her as it bellowed smoke and the smell of burning wood. As she got closer, the flames began to become excruciating, unbearable, and much harsher than the flames on the outside. And so Meera performed the fire release spell, arms together infront of her body pointing horizontal, elbows together and fingers clenched, she drew all the fire essence into the space between her forearms and her chest by visualising the move and uttering a short incantation. "...terel aler ternet." Which very roughly translates as, 'begone from this vessel'. As she voiced the last syllable, all the inner flames she had absorbed seeped out of her flesh like a liquid, and dripped from her elbows onto the ground. This substance was highly flammable, so she would need to dry off before venturing through the gate, as there was a fire even in the gatehouse and she didn't desire to burn to death.

Kasane smiled as she walked around town, the fresh air was nice rather then a stuff room filled with dust and old books. It was also better to stretch her legs and walk around freely. The city of Celes wasn’t as beautiful as before, that was for sure but it was a wonderful place. She hoped nothing bad would ever come of this peaceful place.
Saiyuki on the other hand sniffed the air and scowled, not really enjoying the part of town they were in as much as Kasane. “Kasane? Wouldn’t you much rather peruse your neighborhood rather then this part of town?” he asked simply.
“But I like it here, there’s so much life here.” She smiled as she looked around. “I mean just look! No formalities, no procedure, no do this or that kind of thing!” she grinned as she continued to walk down the street. “Also no manors.” He said simply as he groaned, “it looks sketchy here.” He frowned as Kasane smiled “no big deal.” She grinned as she started to look at a small side shop with a while bunch of vegetables and fruit. “hmm… Kain might like these.” She grinned as she started to get a small bundle of strawberries and some fruit and bread. Kain was never one for shopping anyway.

((Ahahaha! I finally figured out what to do with Nyx! How about a lil' family influence? twisted ))
Nyx stopped walking while Dionysus poked his head out of her bag. Once again, she was wearing her cloak, hood pulled over her head, shrouding her appearance in shadow. Looking up, she could see the ornate gates to Celes- white stone pillars with an armed guard atop each, flanking stone walls around the perimeter of the city. She walked through the gates, stopping again to admire the beautiful scene. She was obviously in a ritzy part of the city. Her reflection was interrupted by a seemingly old man sitting on the ground by her feet, tugging on her cloak.
"Alms for a poor beggar man, missy?"
Nyx looked down at the man, the hood of her cloak falling over her eyes, nearly covering the entire upper half of her face. The man's face was dirty- he'd obviously been living on the street for a while. His long hair, which used to be pulled back in a ponytail, was knotted and falling over his face in a ratty manner. He had a shaggy beard covering the lower half of his face and Nyx could see, as he held out his hand, that there was dirt under his nails. He had dark blue eyes matching Nyx's own sapphire pools and a long scar on his right cheek.
Nyx let out a gasp of surprise as she recognized the man. She pushed her hood back from her face and knelt down to look him eye-to-eye.
"Papa?" Tears began to well up in her eyes.
The man looked confused for a moment before saying, "Nyx? Is it really you? My little girl?"
"Yeah, Papa... It's really me. I'm here."
"You're safe and sound... Safe and sound from that horrible fire...." His eyes clouded over as he got lost deep in thought. Suddenly, without warning, he threw his hand up and slapped Nyx as hard as he could!
Nyx was knocked off her precarious position and thrown to the ground from the force of the hit. She'd been so happy to see her father alive and well in Celes. Another gasp escaped her lips from the pure shock of what her father did. "Papa... Why--"
"It's your fault she's dead!" The haggard-looking man screamed at her.
Nyx's mind whirred. She? She wh-- She let out a gasp as it dawned on her. "Mamma... She's --" Nyx choked on the word. She couldn't get it out.
