I'm taking my time, well untill i steal/borrow my sister's DS to trade over some valued pkm of mine... then i'll race to the end of the game and afterwards, relax and enjoy the slight alterations to the maps.
so far the gym puzzles are easier this round... they don't even act like real good puzzles as of yet (only at the fighting gym as of now...)
the excessive story line interruptions are ok, but can be annoying.

I got Platinum when it came out but I've barely made any progress with it. Apparently it's harder than Diamond and Pearl. D:

x-x I can afford it, and I have a bro who works at GameStop who could get me a used if I gave him the money, but I know that it's not a wise choice right now.
Instead, I'mma buy my friend a DS, new [if any left], and Platinum and a game guide. It's all less than $200, so it's good to me. and their bday ain't until August/September. [They're a Virgo, is all I know. x-x Almost doesn't deserve the gift though if he won't tell me his damned birthday.]

How would you guys compare Platina to past third-makes? Is it of Emerald status, slightly better, Yellow status, or Crystal? Or better than all of them.
[This question applies to those who've played DP gen, and any first game/third game releases that people've played.]
Because it doesn't sound like Yellow or Crystal status to me.
Only slightly better than Emerald.

WALL OF TEXT WARNING
Personally, I wanna get a platinum.
I was planning on it, but when I got my DS at Christmas last year, my parent's bought me Diamond. I couldn't resist. xD
I do plan to get Platinum though, even though I have a problem with buying games in the same series (aka, Ruby AND Sapphire, etc.), but I plan to (hopefully) get another DS, Platinum, and trade over all the Pokémon I want from Diamond. And then I'd give Diamond and the new DS to my girlfriend as a gift. =3
But I think she said she was more interested in Pearl. I wouldn't mind owning both Diamond and Platinum if I knew I'd play them both. But I probably would want to stick to one game. sweatdrop
Also, I honestly think the third ones in the past go in the order of: Yellow, Emerald, Crystal. I like Emerald, but the fact is that Crystal was always my favourite of the games. 3nodding

I pre-ordered Platina. Originally, I wasn't even going to bother since I had played the Japanese ROM and wasn't impressed. Then NoA pulled that d**k move and gave us the awesome Japanese pre-order bonus instead of some crappy bauble like usual (*coughDPcough*).
But you know, it's a pretty fun game, when you can actually understand the text. I definitely prefer it to DP, though I sorely wish the Resort Area villa was like a glorified Secret Base. Not being able to move the furniture sucks a**.

I bought it the day it came out. I love how they re-did the gyms. And the GTS has these spots where you can watch people battle over Wi-Fi. I just beat the Elite 4. Then I got my butt kicked in the Fight Area.
