Rayan watched the sudden change in Iris's demeanor with slight interest, watching her movements carefully. As such, he saw her stumble. Spreading his arms, Rayan caught her squarely in his chest, steadying her shoulders with his hands as he glanced down at her with an implicative smile. But before he could say (or do) anything (inappropriate), she had removed herself out of his hold, much to his disappointment. And worse, her wolf decided to stick himself in between them, with his lovely rump facing Rayan.

But what surprised him was Domonique's sudden dismissal, the man apologizing quietly before his wolf intervened to whisk him away. Rayan raised an eyebrow but did nothing, simply offering a casual salute of two fingers as Domonique rode away. Then he looked back at Iris with a playful look of disappointment, shaking his head and clucking his tongue. "Now look what you did, Iris... you offended his manly pride."

With the man's leave, however, came a new participant of this strange gathering. Rayan grinned as Jamie approached, sauntering up to her and slinging his arms around her shoulders, though he kept a careful eye on Rainingwind. "Jamie, you look stunning today," he told her with a wink, before glancing over at Keahi and sticking his tongue out rather childishly. Then he returned his attention to Jamie with a charming smile. "Don't listen to Keahi, I'm a complete gentleman."

But his smile fell into a suggestive smirk as he wiggled his eyebrows. "Unless you don't want a gentleman. In which case, I'm sure Calla would love to join us in some three-way fun." Rayan looked over at Calla with a challenging look and raised an eyebrow, eyes sparkling deviously as he continued to grin. "Just to prove you're not uptight and all."

Rainingwind’s ears and tail had been lowered upon coming in the presence of Beta and elder wolves. One to acknowledge valid points made in his own seemingly-cold way, he stated based on what he’d gathered, You have both made valid points. It is wise to be vigilant of our riders and that endeavor does not come with a guarantee of ease.

Practiced in calm alertness Jamie followed as the scenes played on, mind working subconsciously in piecing the pieces together. Responses came from her, giving Dominique and Glazedpaw a polite salute as they ventured off, her friendly gaze acknowledging Calla, Keahi, and Rayan as she was greeted. She continued to proceed smoothly and orderly, turning to Calla upon taking the opportunity to speak, “It’s good to see you, as well, Calla.”

Her composure kept constant, as usual concealing the energetic quality of her inward flow of thoughts. Rainingwind had a concept for his rider that Jamie wields a filter that allows her expressions to keep a feel of poise to them. In his peripheral vision he caught the motion of Rayan placing his arm on his rider’s shoulders but his composure, too, remained unchanged. Familiar readings of two men, of Jamie recalling seeing her ex in the act of cheating on her before her academy days and the visiting pain of the memory of her lover’s and his wolf’s deaths, not surviving the final battle of that season, two years ago before she relieved it, were received by him. The wolf had pride in the amount of self-sufficiency his rider had developed. His lover and the aforementioned wolf are one and the same and though they still mourn within themselves, Rainingwind recognizes that by his side is a strong partner who with him moves forward.

“Rayan, thank you, though to those two kind offers, I shall respectfully decline,” Jamie moved herself to the side to stand a bit more than Rayan’s arm length in distance between them. “May I ask how many feet apart are the roofs?” she asked her fellow wolfriders that she may be able to make comparisons to her calculation, her cheerful zeal appreciable. Then it occurred to her that she had come among them from running. However, though she was glistening with sweat, it was light, indicating how accustomed she was to such intensity as she made a mental note of the observation and to increase the difficulty next time, and had also been lightened with the snowy weather. Her left arm bent across her body, left hand on her right elbow as her right arm bent and right hand’s fingers gently felt the cloth with like pressure to when Rayan had his arm there, running them from the first point by the right-back of her collar, fingers making their way towards her right shoulder cap in a fluid, subconscious check as she hoped it wasn’t damp. Then, she had her hands together as they passed before her center as she had them move down back to her side by her thighs again.

((Slightly confused as to what's up with Domonique...))

Relief flooded through her as one man withdrew from the group and left with Glazedpaw and the other shifted his over-friendly attention to Jamie. Despite herself, though, she felt guilty. Did I say something wrong? Is he upset because of me? Bewildered, she watched his retreating form for a moment before turning to Silversoul for answers. Though he was younger than her, he often seemed so much more sure of what was going on.

You were rude, and I might even say rather cruel. The Gamma’s words were blunt, but delivered in a gentle, unaccusing manner. He proceeded to explain, very briefly, the indications that Domonique had meant well, and what to watch out for from Rayan. For a young woman of twenty-three, Iris really knew very little of body language and the subtler signals of her kind. She’d begun learning to late to pick it up naturally. You might try speaking softer, saying things in a nicer way, and thinking a bit about how others might be feeling.

Iris hesitated, glancing back at the group, then slipped quietly away to follow in the direction Glazedpaw had taken. To her surprise the wolf and her rider hadn’t gone far, and she hung back a little, hoping she wasn’t intruding. ”If I may…” she called quietly, just as Domonique started walking again. "I would like to apologize."

Silversoul, meanwhile, glanced rather wistfully up at the roof where Woodwhisp still stretched out in superiority and comfort. For all his intelligence he could not fathom how a creature larger than himself, himself being larger than a horse, could possibly have scaled such a building. But his pride prevented him from asking so he idly watched the humans interact while he waited for either the answer he wanted or for Iris to return.

((Lamepost, I'm sorry))

{OoC: Ah, sorry Els I was having an off day with my posting there. Domonique has a childhood fear of other wolves though hes managed to trust Glazedpaw the presence of another wolf makes him jumpy. In this case to many wolves around and he was all to aware of them. Unlike battle when hes more focused on the threat than the wolves.
And please forgive me, this is my first male character. I rather suck rping them. and its short sorry about that too im stealing a few moments of internet while they bring our stuff between houses.}

Domonique practically stumbled on his own feet in surprise, only just managing to regain balance. "I'm sorry..." he muttered at the same time she spoke her first set of words. Irritated with himself for speaking at the same time he turned around to look at her. "You have nothing to apologize for Iris, I was out of line, and order. I am the one who must be sorry here." Giving a light bow he continued. "Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?"

Glazedpaw watched for a few moments her fur bristling in a shiver like manner. Sending her body shaking as she looked off in another direction from where Domonique stood. She got the message it was time to give him some space from her species for a while and content that Domonique wouldn't do anything else to warrant the appearance of a wolf she trotted back over to the main group her eyes shinning.
