Ok on Saturday morning at like 9 a.m. I am trying out for All-West Honor Band. We have to play two major scales, memorized. Our judge chooses those for us. I have 9 of my 12 scales momorized, the ones I don't know are E, Db and Gb. My band director said they would ask for an easy scale (C, Bb, Eb, F.) and a hard scale (G, D, A.). So he said I probably wouldn't need B or Ab, but I know those just in case.
we play a prepared piece. I am doing well at that.
Then we sight-read. Sight-reading is my weak point. I can play stuff all right but if there are too many accidentals or time or key changes or stuff like that I will suck. I hope there are no tempo changes.
Based on the information I've goven do you think I'm ready for my audition?

What a coincidence, on Saturday at 9am I'm trying out for South Jersey Regional Band.
=__= I'm so nervous. My BD screwed up and gave me the wrong piece over the summer, and I just got my new one about a month ago. The piece is, like, freaking 10 pages long. Insane... D:
I think you'll be okay. Just cram the day before, and on the car ride to the auditions/while you're waiting, just bring a book of sheet music you've never played and practice that.
