"If I am not mistaken, once we reach the age of a teenager our aging decelerates to the point where is basically stops. I believe I shall not age from this appearance for at least several years, perhaps even to the point where I have caught up in age with a natural human."
What she was saying, of course, was all speculation as Pasayo did not have much of an idea what would happen to her now. It was quite possible that in a year's time she would look like an elderly woman, hunch over and wrinkled, but from what she had seen with the other Ashe who were clearly older than her yet still in the form of children - this was not so. Perhaps there was a reason for her to grow so quickly despite those around her older in age staying as children.
As for why we age, I think it is because our race needs to be repopulated, so we are forced to grow faster to a point of maturity where children can be produced."
At the mention of breeding, sex in other words, Pasayo's face seemed to explode into a shade of red and she shuffled her feet closer to the egg that was leaning towards her, her whole posture trying to ignore the strange feeling that rolled around in her stomach.
"Ah, any...this egg....have you named it?"

Repopulation? Well I guess that explains why there isn't much of a presence of these people right now.
It was a bit of a strange thought, and Michael could only imagine that it would be strange for Pasayo and any others like her to think about it. How the main purpose for aging so quickly is to reach sexual maturity for the most part. Shaking his head to himself, he glanced over towards the egg, noticing it leaning towards the girl. Now that he thought about it, the egg was being more active here, and he wondered if it had anything to do with Pasayo.
"Name..? Er... no not yet. I did just find out what's gonna come out of it right now... And to be honest, I'm still a little blown away by the thought that I'll be having to take care of a kid in the near future.. Besides, I have no clue on whether it's going to be a boy or girl. But I guess I'll find out soon..."
Blinking a bit, he looked back at Pasayo.
"This is a little unrelated but what do you think of humans? I mean, I imagine some people aren't really.. accepting of who you are."

"Just because you are unsure of what dwells inside does not mean you cannot name it. My Master named me the same day he found me, somehow knowing that I would be a young woman and not a young man. Mistress Rown says he was able to do so because of all the pink my egg possessed, as she doubted any young man would wear pink despite how 'manly' it would appear, so I was always blessed with a name."
Pasayo reached a finger out slightly and let the tip of it touch the leaning egg, the gesture very gentle and nothing meant other than contact between two Ashes. She was unaware of his court, naturally, and how one should behave when in the presence of another from a different one. It was strange to her that she did not feel as excited with this egg as she had been before with all the others she had come across, though she was still delighted to feel another Ashe regardless, and she smiled down at the little wings and cloud.
"My feelings towards humans? That is an queer question."
She moved her hand away from the egg and loved over at Micheal, her pink eyebrows raised for a moment before they reset themselves to their normal position on her face.
"I was raised by them, so why would I feel anything for them other than love and admiration? I know I am not human, and I know that humans may be responsible for why our numbers are so small, but it is because of a human that I was able to get this far."

The girl had a few good points with what she had said, about both the naming and the bit on humans. Though for the former, he still wasn't entirely sure of what he would name the egg. As he stared at the egg, he tried to think of what gender it may be. Flamey designs seemed slightly more masculine to him, but he figured that a girl might have that sort of thing too.
"Yeah that's true... So would you say the egg is more male or female? I guess now that I think about it.. it seems more like a he? I'm not really sure though."
Then looking back towards Pasayo more, Michael smiled a bit and glanced back at Rown as well momentarily.
"You're lucky to have such loving parents and family. I can only hope that I won't mess things up for the one inside the egg..."
Rubbing the back of his neck a bit, he shifted his weight and looked back towards the egg. It seemed to be leaning against Pasayo's finger, but it was a little hard to tell at this point.
"Speaking of which.. I don't suppose that you have any tips on how to take care of him or her?"

"It feels like a young boy, perhaps. I do not get the same excitement in my chest with this egg as I have with all the others that I have seen, so maybe that is why."
That was not the real reason, but it made enough sense to Pasayo so she simply accepted it.
"Thank you for the compliment about my family, but it is only because we have no one but each other to lean about. My Master says that the rest of the world is cut off from them, or that they cut themselves off from the rest of the world, to protect it from them."
Her eyes moved over to look at Rown as well, who seemed to be kneeling down and drawing something on the floor with a piece of chalk. Lord only knew where the chalk came from, but it was clear she was drawing a magic circle and was enjoying it, as evidence by the massive grin on her face as she continued.
"If you want to know how to take care of this child, even if you are unsure, simply love it. Give it what him what he needs, not what he always wants, and listen instead of just talking. Make him feel wanted and needed, yet not so attached. Treat him as a being with a heart, a living being, and you should have no troubles."

Michael wasn't entirely certain of what Pasayo meant with her first statement, but he gave a nod when she explained her family as well as when she explained what he would need to do. It was pretty self explanatory he guessed, but he still wasn't really sure if he could get it down right when the time came.
"Thank you Pasayo. I'll keep that in mind. And.. I'll have to start thinking of some possible names for him. When he hatches maybe he could meet you sometime.. It'd be good for him to know some people of his own kind right?"
Peering over the counter, the Pawnbroker noticed Rown drawing on the ground with some chalk. Frowning at this, she straightened up and addressed her.
"Ma'am! Please do not draw on my floor! Clean that up that mess immediately!"

"I dinnae think sa."
Rown grinned brightly as the woman leaned over the counter to yell at her, and with a quick circle of her hand she stuck her tongue out and smashed her palm down onto the runes she had drawn. Almost immediately her tongue seemed to sparkle, followed by the sound of a loud crackle resembling wood popping in the fireplace, and the floor where the rune had been drawn quickly started to break apart and crumble like dust.
"Oi, Pasayo, we best be gettin' a move on or we'll be caught in 'is. Ye may be wantin' ta come along whatever ye called yerself, cause this shop is set for ruin."
She reached over and grabbed Pasayo by the wrist, who in term reached and grabbed Micheal's own. It was an automatic reaction on Pasayo's part, her eyes wide with unknowing as she urged him to come along.

"Ma'am! And what is that supposed to mean?" demanded the Pawnbroker, "And what did you do to my floor?! I swear, you are going to pay for any damage you just did!"
After the sound of the crackle, Michael glanced over towards where Rown was. He had no clue on what she had just done, but it apparently was causing the floor to crumble apart. As Pasayo grabbed his wrist, he quickly reached out to grab the egg, managing to stuff it back into his bag for now.
"What's going on?" he asked once they were outside of the Pawn shop. He glanced back in towards the building to see if there was anything else going on. But for the most part all he could spot was the Pawnbroker rushing over towards the area Rown had caused to break apart.

"An' in three, two, one . . ."
Rown's face broke into a bright grin, the kind a child would sport as they gazed upon something they created themselves, though in Rown's case it was more or less something she had destroyed on her own. She was watching with happy eyes the frantic efforts of the Pawnbroker woman dance around the floor which was steadily crumbling to dust and spreading towards the walls. As she had said, the shop surely was heading 'for ruin' and it was because the woman had said something she should not have and did not even properly apologize - at least not well enough in Rown's opinion.
"Thar we go, all done. She be learnin' a lesson now in manners ye know, sayin' what she did an' all to ye. Yer not a 'what', yer a 'whom' na matter what ye look like."
She grinned over at Pasayo and Micheal, her explanation for why she did something so drastic being so very vague, and the young Ashe teen she had done it all for could only heavy a sigh that raised her chest up and down for a moment.
"While I am thankful that you have carried out 'revenge' against the 'wrongdoing' against me, I must condone your actions, Mistress. Not only did you destroy a public building but you have also endangered the lives of two people unrelated to us through your actions. Master Micheal here could have been injured if I had not taken him with me."
Pasayo motioned over towards Micheal with a delicate motion, a frown set on her beautiful face.
"I hope you do not think of us poorly sir, for how my Mistress acted. She is a little...extreme, in her actions."

Eyes opened wide, Michael watched as the shop slowly reduced to nothing from the inside. From the looks of things, ever since he got the egg, the definition of normal was being changed for him. After a bit, he broke his gaze away from the crumbling building and stared over at the two women that had to do with it. It was more out of shock than anything else.
And once that shock had worn off, he shook his head and looked more towards Pasayo.
"It was a little extreme.. yes... but I don't think badly of you. I'm just.. having a little bit of a hard time taking everything in. It's amazing, really. But... everything today has just been filled with things I'd only find in dreams and fantasy movies before."
Blinking, he rubbed the back of his neck and glanced away as he probably only made things a little more awkward with that bit.
"Er... sorry if I offended you."

"Eh? Are ye talkin' ta me, cause if ye are yer fine. Ye never said a bad thing ta Pasayo an' ye even said yer sorry, so ye got nothin' ta worry about."
Rown rubbed the tip of her nose with her index finger and smirked, her grin wide as she looked over at Micheal and the Ashe teen. Pasayo seemed to be tilting slightly back and forth on her feet, probably from nerves and the fact that Rown had probably done something that would end up with both of them in jail (again), but Rown knew the Ashe teen was hardier than she looked.
"Or maybe ye were sayin' sorry ta Pasayo? In that case yer still okay and ye dinnae ta apologize. An' ta let ye know, th' whole world's amazin', ye jus' need ta get out 'here an' try it. We're kinda normal, jus' inna different way."
As if.
"So, ye be needin' anythin' more from us, or can we get movin'? The cops are comin' soon."

Nodding lightly, Michael grinned rather weakly while looking between the two women. With all that had happened, he felt an urge to light up a cigarette right about now, but he resisted temptation for the time being. He at least knew better than to light up right in someone's face when he didn't know if they minded it or not.
"Yeah.. I guess. It's just kinda surprising how much is hidden from most people I guess you could say."
In the distance, he could faintly hear what sounded like a siren of sorts. As Rown had suggested, it was probably a good time to be getting out of there now.
"I think we better move. Thanks for the information though and um... see you some other time maybe?"

"Aye, that'll be nice. If ye be needin' us all ye 'ave ta do is knock three times onna oak tree. Ye'll get us that way."
Rown smiled brightly and grabbed Pasayo's hand in her large gloved one, quickly moving the girl and making her protest slightly from the action. While it seemed like she jerked the poor child around far too much it was mostly because the older woman knew that despite her appearance of age Pasayo was still so far inexperienced with this world that she was unaware of common dangers.
"We'll be aroun', ye take care."
And with that the pair started to move quick and away, vanishing off just as suddenly as they had appeared.

Knock three times on an oak tree? he mused to himself. It seemed a little strange at first thought, but at this point, he knew better than to not believe in it. Even so, it was going to take a bit of adjusting to try and keep an open mind about all these things that were revealing themselves to him now.
"Alright, and you too," said Michael with a light smile.
For a moment, he glanced down at the bag that held the Fae egg, then looked up to watch the two women walk off. From there, he turned around and headed back home. A bit of a wild time, but he learned what he needed to know.
At least for now.
