Name: Lyra Belnades
Gender: Female
Age: 18
Rank: Recruit
Personality:
Knowing only what she's read about the outside world, she is very ignorant of how things worked in the real world, which she immediately realized after a few days. Also as a result of her living sheltered in a house her entire life, she's ghostly pale and physicly weak. She spends all her free time working out to try to get into proper shape, and thanks to her efforts and her constant improvements, along with her determination, her Drill Sergeant is hesitant about whether or not to allow her to stay in spite of how behind she is compared to the majority of recruits, having been impressed by her efforts.
She avoids contact most the time with her fellow recruits, afraid of how they would react and treat her. It doesn't help how some rumors exist about her different colored eyes. She ignores all of them though, refusing to let anything keep her from her dream of becoming a Wolfrider.
History:
Lyra's father is a craftsman and her mother a weaver. Having been sheltered her entire life, Lyra knows little of the world other than what she's heard or read. When her mother had been pregnant with her, she had betrayed her husband for almost a month before being found out, and though her husband forgave her, his mother who was her mother-in-law told her that some misfortune shall fall upon her for what she had done; she was known for being very superstitious. When Lyra was born, because of her different colored eyes, her family was afraid that she'd been cursed as a result of what had happened and have hidden her from everyone. The only ones who had spent time with her up till now had been her caretaker who had also been her teacher, her older sister, and one of her cousins. Her mother refuses to see her because Lyra reminds her of her bad deed, her father also does in respect of his wife's wishes, and her younger sister most of the time forgets Lyra even exists due to her never making contact with Lyra. When Lyra was 9 she first heard of Wolfriders during one of her lessons, and from that day on she was determined to become a Wolfrider.
When Lyra had turned 18, she left her area of the house, went to the kitchen where her family was having breakfast, and told them she was going to become a Wolfrider. Her father had immediately taken her to her room and told her to quit with the jokes, having no idea how serious Lyra was. Once her family was asleep she had sneaked out of the house with a small bag of clothes and a few other things. Thanks to posters and such, she found her way to the place to sign up for the academy, and had waited there till it opened, and once opened had signed herself up.
