The moon was one of the only things that lit up the clearing. White light fell on red and grey fur, turning it into shadows. It was silent, all but her heartbeat and the wind in the surrounding treetops gave any indications that she could hear. She stared upward at the sky, a small smile on her lips, a calm presence over her, not quite like how she would usually act.
Aberi was a rather carefree spirit, and she loved to dance. It was all the energy that balled up within her that made her the way she was. She smiled more widely at the thought, pale light gleaming on protruding teeth. She hummed softly, enjoying the feeling of it deep in her throat. "Come to me children, and follow my way. Into the world of darkness and magic. With all my power, I'll show you the way. To all your dreams, hopes and illusions." She spoke these words aloud, the catchy lyrics of a lullaby.

Uzu padded into the moonlit meadow. It was so peaceful out tonight and Uzu was in a great mood. He thumped his tail on the ground as he walked making a nice musical rhythm. While he walked his normally purple pelt shone white in the bright moonlight.
Uzu's ears flicked as he heard a melody. It was catchy. He walked over towards it and saw a female standing in the clearing humming this. He smiled and waves to her with his tail.

The song cut off abruptly as Aberi spotted the male, but was rather dumbstruck by the horns that gracefully jutted from his brow. She didn't speak for a long moment, but she smiled. "You almost caught me off guard." She said with a small laugh. "You...didn't hear me singing, did you?" She asked. Her spinefur bristled slightly in embarrassment, her cheeks red beneath the grey fur that covered them.
She had never been caught singing before, and it made her feel exposed now that she had. Even with her appearance...well...appearances were most deceiving.

Uzu smiled and nodded. It was one of those days where he wished he could actually... Talk. He still wasn't sure how to express his emotions from anything other than music. He thumped his tail with rhythm on the ground trying to express how he felt. The song was great! He looked her up and down for a moment. She sure was a peculiar ulaya. Most of the other ones he met didn't have fur on their backs. Unless, they were Moto'undil like him of course.

Aberi tilted her head to the side as she stared at him. Her eyes flicked to his beating tail, and she wondered what was wrong with the Ulaya. He hadn't made a sound since she had seen him, not a single peep of noise, except for the rhythmic thumping of his indigo tail. She stood up and shook her fur for a moment, before she stepped forward, almost cautiously toward him. "What's your name?" She asked, her voice softer than normal, wondering. "Mine is Aberi." She said with a slight smile, light gleaming on two fangs. But those fangs would only hurt those who were bent on hurting her. Her red eyes held a polite look, or at least more polite then she would usually act. It was quiet, there was really no one to bother her, so why act like the mischievous creature she really was. She loved being calm and collected, but around other groups, she always seemed to lack the physical and mental control to stay calm and sit still.

(( You can edit her in your first post. xD ))
Uzu panicked. What to say what to say? There were couple moments of silence then something struck him. He had an idea. Not the brightest one, but fairly good too. He flicked his tail at her willing her to follow and stopped at a patch of wet mud. He let out one claw and wrote "Uzu" on the mud. Pausing for a minute he wrote something else with his claw. "I'm mute." That would hopefully explain to her that he couldn't talk. But, maybe they could still make music together. In harmony. He looked at her tiny teeth. They were gorgeous. No one else he had ever met had teeth like those. Of course, he wasn't a fan of teeth anyway. Hers just stood out to him.

Aberi followed behind him, her ears perked as she watched him write. Mute..? She'd never met anyone mute before. "Uzu..." She sounded, and then nodded in understanding. She smiled wanly. "It's nice to meet you, Uzu." She said with a small laugh. When she noticed him looking at her muzzle, or rather at her teeth, she raised a paw for a moment to touch them. "Weird, aren't they? I've bit myself quite a few times trying to talk, so it's strange. But I can whistle. At least...I used to be able to. I haven't tried in so long." She chattered, until she pressed her paw to cover her mouth. "Sorry, I rant sometimes..." she muttered, rather embarrassed at the fact. After a moment of calm, she nodded. "You like music?" She asked quietly.

Uzu shrugged. He didn't think that they were weird at all. His shoulders quivered a little as he tried to laugh when she said that she bit herself while talking. Uzu smiled when she asked if he liked music. He loved it! He adored it! He nodded and looked at her with a questioning look wondering if she too liked music. He shook a little and the beads on his necklace jingled a little. That made him smile again. Even though he was mute he knew that he could still make music too. Sure it wasn't the same as everyone elses, but it was still music all the same.
Uzu blinked and stared at Aberi with his right orange eyes, wondering what she was going to say. He had a knack for knowing what others felt when he looked at their eyes. In hers he could tell that she was calm, but a part of her was excited.

Aberi stared back at him, crimson eyes meeting golden ones. "You do like music? That's lovely!" She exclaimed with a smile. She wondered why she wasn't being her usual self with Uzu, but she thought maybe it was the fact he didn't have anything to say that would discourage her, like calling her strange, or a freak. Hesitantly, she moved closer to him and poked a paw at the jewelry that hung in shiny ropes around his neck. It once again made the jingling noise. She smiled warmly and laughed. "It sounds like bells." She said. She continued to poke at the bell-like trinkets with an almost childish delight. "It's so lovely!" She said, laughing once more. She was truly enthralled by this new thing that she had never seen. Never had she met a Moto'undil before, but she had heard them to be large and rather brutish. Uzu seemed the opposite, sitting with an almost ethereal calm, laughter in his eyes. "Are you laughing at me, Uzu?" She quipped with a raised eyebrow. She laughed again, smiling.

Uzu smiled and stood up making his necklace ring around his neck. Music to his ears. He wondered if they could make some music. His eyes shone determinedly as he thumped his tail in a musical rhythm wondering if she would join in. It was hard to find some one who shared his compassion for music. Most males found that a little to feminine for them while Uzu enjoyed it a lot. Jewery however, wasn't his thing. Aberi jingling it reminded him of his mother. She had been the one to put it on him, and he kept it to remember her.

Aberi blinked, rather startled when began to thump his tail lightly against the dirt. She noticed at once, that it was a beat. It was strange to find that Uzu was quite a large Ulaya, standing taller than she. She watched Uzu settle his eyes upon her, a determined look in his golden eyes. He was -in what words she could find- beautiful. She hummed softly as he thumped his tail, wondering whether it would be alright for her to sing in front of him, to sing for him. "Stay low. Soft, dark, and dreamless. Far beneath my nightmares and loneliness.I hate me. For breathing without you. I don't want to feel anymore for you." She paused a moment, composing the sad words that lodged in her throat before she continued, "Grieving for you... I'm not grieving for you. Nothing real love can't undo. And though I may have lost my way. All paths lead straight to you..."
She wondered why she chose this song to murmur out to the beat that filled her ears with sound, her voice intermingled with with the sharp sound. "I long to be like you. Lie cold in the ground like you..." She blinked, sighing softly. "Halo. Blinding wall between us. Melt away and leave us alone again. The humming, haunted somewhere out there. I believe our love can see us through in death." Her heart swelled with the sound, beating loudly in her ears, sending adrenaline through her.
"I long to be like you Lie cold in the ground like you There's room inside for two and I'm not grieving for you I'm coming for you
You're not alone No matter what they told you, you're not alone I'll be right beside you forevermore
I long to be like you, sis Lie cold in the ground like you, dear There's room inside for two and I'm not grieving for you And as we lay in silent bliss I know you remember me I long to be like you Lie cold in the ground like you There's room inside for two and I'm not grieving for you I'm coming for you"
