I always get the best ideas at the most inconvenient times, be it while I'm in the shower, about to fall asleep, or in the middle of services or class and it's at a part where writing is not actually part of it. Sometimes I'll get lucky with an inspiration, and when that happens it's anywhere from twilight to around 5 in the morning (writing keeps me up late).

I used to do most of my writing late, late at night, like from midnight to 4 am, but now that I have a regular job, I have to keep a more regular schedule (boo! hiss!). Mostly, I write between 5:30 pm and midnight, making time for my favorite TV shows.

I try to write when i can. My work schedule is crazy and that makes my sleeping irregular so I never really have a set time. I also am dealing with stress which makes my mind close down, so I never know when ideas will come. I used to do great 'storming in school and late afternoon, being more of a night person.

Wow, I'm suprised by all you night writers! I can't write at night, otherwise I'll never be able to go to sleep cause my head is just churning with ideas. Most of my writing happens in the middle of the day, anywhere between 12 and 4.

I write the best when I'm alone, and there's no one else around. I also tend to write the best late at night, between nine pm and three am. It's like that because I'm closest to my dream state, and that's when creativity flows the best. I write best when there's background noise, like a T.V and there has to be music going. Good thing I don't pay the power bill, right? sweatdrop
