The thing is drive me to try to write is my dream of eing an author. I have always loved books so to get something of mine published and out there for the world to read sounds wonderful to me.
For my day to day inspiration, it's somethimes songs, sometimes this or sometimes that. When i get time to myself, i let my mind roam and ideas come out, then i play with them until they take on a life of their own and that becomes my scenes. So you could say everything ispires me, even if only in small ways.

Can you imagine seeing your published book for the first time in Borders or Barnes and Noble? I think I'd freak out and take a bunch of pictures. People would think I was crazy. XD

I would be in shock to do much of anything. This is has been a dream in the making for 16 years or so. Once the shock was over, I'm not sure what I'd do.

Normally I dream an idea or it just spawns to me in an RP, that or I'll be reading someones fanfic and think of an idea up that way. Sometimes I even base them off real life events.
Chocolate and Dr Pepper does wonders to the mind as well.

SugarRos Lol, I'd probably buy a bunch of copies, too. XD Me too! I'd probably try and take the stand if it was one one. If they tried to stop me I'd say I can't steal my own things and point to my picture in the book xD

Getting published was my driving force for about eighteen years. Now that I have been, that fire has cooled, although I certainly don't want to be a one-book author. I still want to be published again, but losing that easy explanation has made me look deeper within myself for the reasons why I write.
I write to get the ideas out of my head. I write to share. I write to make money. I write for the recognition and approval of others. I write because I enjoy creating worlds and characters. I write to give myself complete control over something. I write because I need to.
And on the topic of how cool it would be to see your book in stores, it would be beyond amazing. It is next to impossible to get a book on the shelves of a bookstore unless you have one of the big, New York publishers. Bookstores have such limited space and there are so many books published every day, it would be an accomplishment worthy of being shouted from the rooftops.
Just seeing my book listed on Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com was a dream come true.

I write to escape reality, to be perfectly honest, but I also write to explore not only my characters and stories, but myself as well. I learn about how I think and view the world I live in as I craft the fictional one.
Another driving force for me is seeing things that annoy me in media, and having a drive to write/create something that would actually interest me.
