My college one starts August 15th. I meet the freshmen the night before.
I'm probably going to work at my high school's, and theirs is the last week of July and the first week of August, or something like that.

silentswordsman12 I just moved to my school and I'm shocked at how early band camp starts! We start June 21, and it's eight hours every day! Every weekday till school starts! I'm gona kill over. I live down south. In Alabama. Imagine the humidity. We didn't get out till May 30. This place has no sanity. o..my..god. I only have one week of 8 hours a day. do you mean out of school May 30? we didn't get out till june 19 or 20

CrapOla11 i start mine in like...at the end of July or the beginning of August.. pretty much about month before school starts. and i just got out of school like a week or 2 ago. some people start REALLL early, right? yeah some starts really early! lol we have ours in august! 7 and 8 and then we have our lock in the 12 - 14 so great!

Orientation/audition practice for my college marching band is July 19th. (Basically, think a week's worth of band camp squeezed into five hours with over 300 people. wink ) Auditions themselves are the week before classes, with classes starting on August 25th.
Our first game is on August 30th, at home, with the full band performing. What the crap. It's like high school scrambling to assemble a show in a week before the first game all over again. scream

Our band camps starts on the 4th of August to the 6th and then again on the 11th to the 15th. Since it's at the school it's only a most-of-the-day thing. It's 10AM-9PM with lunch break being at 2PM-4PM and then back to the school for more practice. :'D I can't wait even though it's been really humid here when it's usually not. Desert dry heat > humid heat D:

We begin the third week of August, monday through friday, and repeat the next week.

July 21 - 24, 9-5. Half playing and half marching because it is just to get us back into shape.
Then July 27 - Aug 2. The days get longer and then shorter. Longest day is Wednesday. It is something like 6 am to 11 pm. But this is the fun week with skit night, band dance, and white water.
Then three practices before school starts/ They are Aug 4-6, 5-9.
Then school starts on Aug 11 and we are into the three times a week, sometimes four with a Saturday practice the first weekend.

august 4th.. with three-a-days... we start at 7.30 in the morning and go til noon go home come back then from 1.30- 3.00 we have indoor practice with pit/battery go home come back 5.30-8.30 then go home then start all over the next day until school starts then its just after school

mine starts on the 14th which is tomorrow and we wont finish with the marching seasn until late October early november. and then we are going away to a college for a week.
