Ning hopped off the log and trotted over to him. She sat beside him and started to lick his fur. "You... ok?" She asked between licks. "That was... sort of daring.."

"Mrumph uph mmmph," Naom said, forgetting he had the thing still in his mouth until after he'd spoken. He rolled his eyes at himself, lowered his head, and gently put the object on the ground. "Yeah, I'm fine," he repeated, sure she hadn't understood him before. To be honest, he was a bit shocked. He'd expected her to call him foolish or stupid or something along those lines. Never had he expected her to say it was daring. He blinked a few times, looking over at her. "I, uhm... I got it for you, ya'know," he mumbled, trying to be polite and not snatch his gaze away.

Ning stopped and looked at him, then at the shiny object. "You... you're so foolish risking your life for something shiny." She laughed then rubbed her head against his still dripping fur. "Thank you. It's very lovely."

Foolish. There was that word. Naom sighed, dipping his head in embarrassment until she nuzzled him. He blinked, looking back up at her. "You... you're welcome.." He murmured, "I was thinking we could make it into a necklace, since it's got a hole in it and everything." He shrugged, standing up and walking a little ways away from her to shake the water out of his fur.

She closed her eyes and turned her head as she still got showered with a spray of water from his fur before she started laughing. "A necklace then?" She thought about it. "I'd like that." And she pounced at Naom. "So... chain? Rope? How we gonna get it?"
