flyingemublue Our body Is God's Temple. Whenever God gets mad at early Isrealites it's because they have brought sexuality into the temple. I don't remember reading that . . . ? This is a great discussion, a lot of people need to know whether its wrong or right, and although the bible doesn't DO NOT MASTURBATE!!!...just like that, Many cases of the bible are very subtle, and we need to humble ourselves to believe and admit that it's wrong. We need to quiet ourselves before God, and not think of it as losing something we'd like to do so we convince ourselves its ok, but that its not holy, and it isn't what Jesus would do. IE :wwjd. Great biblical examples here.

actually... not to be this little btard here, but... most of us have done this action. Once we pull out of puberty... we realize it was wrong and laugh it over, but... I mean, I've read Leviticus over and over... and umm... I can't find it. Sexual relations maybe... but I can't find it. I've quit for a while now, but I can remember it was addicting... eww... did I just say that? See what I mean? xD. sweatdrop

Hmm, I like this post naruto_87 ...I'm sorry to tell you but that is most likely a sin in the eyes of God... I'm sorry man but this seems like a very arrogant thing to say
Why would God not want us to masturbate?
Wouldn't it be better in the eyes of God, that we take care of what our body wants by ourselfs then with another person?
And I bet you're for abstidence, arn't you?

In fact I belive god wants us to masturbate

I think that masturbation is an abuse of the gift He gave us. It becomes an escape from reality - a brief high - similar to alcohol or drugs, although it is not nearly as physically harmful. However, when you fall into the habit, it can twist the way you think, making life become more and more about sex and how you can satisfy your desires. Abstinence, besides placing the intended values on sex, also teaches self-control, which is something that is seen less and less today. I would very much like to see those videos. Are they online? Otherwise, is there a source for this?

The problem is, you act as if it is either or. It's not. What about the guy or girl learns to bridle their own desires until they are married? Not Masturbating... putting their hands to work doing more worthwhile things, getting help if it has become an addiction. Waiting and being... yes, child and clap free, until it is more than a selfish act, but instead LOVE. It's not impossible. It may not be what YOU choose. But PLEASE stop acting like it is not a choice for everyone else. Don't act like if you don't masturbate you'll get STDs or get cancer. rolleyes

Fair enough, but only if you explain how sombody can be addicted to masturbation.
And besides, I already said it was a choice. I was just arguing one point for masturbation, considering it is often seen by some as being worse than hiring a hooker off the street.
This I never fully understood
