My score was -3.67 .

"You are consired ******** retarded. Anything coming out of your mouth is to be considered newly retard fashion and everything you do should be a crime against logic. The sheer sight of your dumbfounded face is crime enough to have you shot in the middle of the street. You are so ******** retarded, I dont even know why I bothered to put an explanation for you: you = retard. Dont even bother living anymore; your internal organs are wild since your brain is not competent enough to process simple electric pulses to tame them. You brain is rotted by all the air and is composed of jello and lego blocks. How you got to this point in life is why Darwin is stabbing himself dead moreso. People around you get dumber just because your answers are devoid of any sign of intelligence whatsoever...your existence made me lose faith in humanity."

I think I scored fairly well guys...

Sup, this is my first post here because... well, I really like taking tests online.
Anyway...

The way you think about things makes you a Creative Theorist. This means you are a highly intelligent, complex person. You are able to process information of nearly every kind with ease, using both creativity and analysis to make sense of the world. Compared to others you also have a very rich imagination.

... I would say this is very good, except that last comment bugs me... like they're telling me I can easily make sense of the world because I make believe reality... or something. ninja

Ah the most normal IQ test here. Good work Skire!

C'mon, that test is obviously bogus because there is no way there are so many people who are hitting the 120-140 range. You'd all be in Mensa! I know we're the Intellectual Perverts Guild but this is pretty lame.

I took an IQ test when I was a child and I scored above average but no way a genius. Now some of you are scoring 130 and above which is possible but so many in one guild? And it's not like we're picking the creme de la creme for members. If we were we'd have all the ED elitists yammering around here (thanks god we don't, they scare me).

Which all this can lead to more of a discussion about IQs. Just because you have a high IQ does it really make you batter than the average person? Many studies have found that people with high IQs can sometimes have dificulties in other fields like socializing and relating to people. Any of you seemingly brilliant people have some insight into that ^_~ ? Do you think you've met your IQ potential?

I dont know if I have reached my full potential... -3.67 is pretty high for me...

As of the rest of what you said, the test is more then likely flawed since there is no way so many of us could achieve such a high mark. 120 is REALLY smart, and 130 is genius border...

Most of us scored over 130, and I am pretty sure we aren't composed of genius perverts (although, I can't be sure, but a betting man would place his money in the "flawed test" area).

That isn't a valid psychological test of Intelligence. Besides which, a more proper and more accurate test needs to be made in order for it to be "valid" per se.

Why?

Simple. If I grew up in a jungle for all my life and took an IQ test designed for European people, I'd do pretty badly. But, if I do an IQ test that addresses my culture (that of living in a jungle for all my life), it would be far more accurate.

Also, what about people who just read a lot? Often, IQ tests ask whether or not you understand a word or term. You're pretty screwed if you don't like reading or have swallowed a dictionary.

Don't forget that there is such a thing as multiple intelligences - if you are sucktastic in Maths, you might have a high Sports Intelligence. But that does not gurantee that you score well in Social or Emotional Intelligence either. Cognitive Intelligence comes into play here - my sister might not be the brightest spark plug in the car, but she certainly has pretty smooth Social Intelligence. Yet, for instance, I'm smarter than her Cognitively, yet I not as good as I would hope to be for Social Intelligence.

The main idea of ANY psychological test is to have more or less a rough idea or impression of what kind of person you are. For obvious reasons, this battery of tests is used mainly in Aptitude Testing or when conducting a Psychological Profile so that a Psychologist can easily tell whether or not you are troubled or not. By that, whether or not you have a sprinkle of OCD, you are Bipolar, or even if you are just plain normal 3nodding For example, clients who have OCD tend to do well in academics due to their desire to be "perfect" in some cases.

Not really. The ED has a few bright minds, but the rest is just people who learned fancy words to show off. My d**k is smarter than some of them. I think we're picking members wisely. xp "IPG secondary home for MENSA" has quite a nice ring to it, don't you think?

Being smarter doesn't make you a better person. There is a difference between knowing a lot and being wise, just as there is a difference between being smart and having common sense.

Remember, though, both things are NOT mutually exclusive. I may be rather intellegent (or at least my grades so far have said so), but I am also very functional in normal society, while also having a high degree of common sense (and uncommon sense).

There are only a few things that I'd change about myself if I had the chance. Most of them are physical (too many viewings of anime women have done it to me!!), and a few are coping mechanisms that I developed when I was stuck in a bad situation with my family, and had to become a classic case of the "psychiatrist" of the family, taking care of everyone else...except myself.

That's true, they aren't exclusive. But then again, I thought that was obvious, so I didn't mention it. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a good amount of book sense, not enough common sense...at all...like when I asked (during Japanese class) my friend Kirsten the Japanese word for Dojo.

Yup, I earn my hair color a little more every day.
