Bad news for the Himalayan Tourist Board. It sounds like the path's now clear for the rest of the team to show up in Doctor Who...

I could see The Doctor showing up in Torchwood, but certain things would have to be considered:

As Davies says, Doctor Who is a children's hero. Even when he's being a grumpy/moody/shouty/scheming old sod, there's something about him that just can't shake the brush-your-greens-and-always-look-both-ways-before-accepting-sweets-from-your-teeth. vibe.

Basically, just don't put him in the same room as anything rubber and jiggly. Unless it's an episode centered around killer wellies.

They'd also really have to avoid the Doctor just being a Deus Ex Machina and saving the muggles from their own ineptitude and piddling any development up a very long rope. Though ideally I'd want to see something like ...Be Forgot from Short Trips: A Christmas Treasury.

Aw, no! No no no no no! scream

And it better not be Gwen, as she's already had a role in Doctor Who. =/

I'm willing to be that it'll probably be either Owen or a girl.
Owen in Season 2 has toned down considerably from Season 1. He really doesn't curse quite as much and he's not going after women like he used to.

And as for my theory that it could be a girl..well... rolleyes kinda explains itself.

Considering that Jack, Tosh, Martha and Gwen (sort-of) have already been in Doctor Who, that only leaves us with Ianto and Owen. Not much left to blur, really? Especially seeing as a lot of the fans agree Ianto probably saw or at least knew of the Doctor because of the whole Canary Wharf connection.
I think, if it was for Comic Relief or something similar, a completely mad episode with the Torchwood Team on the TARDIS would be a lot of fun, as long as it wasn't taken too seriously.

Well, now that (Spoiler Alert) Owen has been unexpectedly killed off in Reset, it'll probably be Ianto who makes an appearance in Doctor Who. Which would be kind of weird.

My money's on Ianto.

If I'm correct GDL (Gareth David Lloyd) originally auditioned for a role in Doctor Who, I don't remember if he go it and had other engagements to do or didn't get it at all, but in some round-about way he ended up in Torchwood.

So, due to the strange reasoning in my mind, I think Ianto will show up in Doctor Who- considering that the actor was originally intending to Doctor Who anyways.

^Chances are none of this correct, btw, my memory has way to many gaps to be credible.

Though I think having Ianto in a DW episode would be good, his backstory is almost as confusing and secretive as Jack's, maybe more so in some areas, so a chance meeting with the Doctor might shed light on his character even more. Also he originally worked for Torchwood One, and was 1 of the 27 survivors of Canary Wharf, so I'm guessing out of Owen and Ianto he's the best informed on the Doctor.

Though Owen meeting the Doctor would pretty entertaining,
even if he's currently kinda dead.

Anakoreta
major spoiler-->even if he's currently kinda dead.

AAAAH SPOILERS!
(I knew anyway, but you might want to put that in white...)
Also, I really really doubt he's staying dead. Or maybe he'll just turn into a zombie, if you look at the episode names rolleyes

Torchwood's starting to sidle its way into the popular consciousness. Apparently, some Cardiff estate agents have started listing properties as being handy for "Roald Dahl Plass and the Torchwood Tower".

Either way, rampaging aliens are going to play hob with house prices. Suck on that, Daily Mail readers.

every single time I've been in Cardiff there've been people standing on the lift trying to get in. So that's about 4 times a year, but without fail there are people there. I've not tried yet, the longer I don't try the longer I can pretend it WOULD work if I did. wink

as for zombie-man, I reckon he's going to be King Of The Weevils instead. But hey.

but after seeing these so called "blurred lines" I wish I hadnt, I mean Im all for crossovers, but has RTD never heard of over doing it a bit?
