It took me three years to figure out how to get through the first screen on Death Peak.

I finally found out how to do it while in a fit of frustration. You just held B and kept running towards the tree. If it was directly in front of you and your characer shook his/her head, you didn't get blown off Death Peak.

Why the hell did it take me three years?!?

Honestly, I always dread 2300AD... I really, really dislike the factories, racing against Johnny, and Death Peak. And in the DS version, I really disliked the Lost Sanctum. gonk

Getting the Chrono Clone can be pretty frustrating too

So I've always had some problems in this game.

1) The Golem battles
2) The Ocean Palace, for some reason. The guys (forget their names) that use the double tech called whirlwind (or something) to counter your EVERY ATTACK. Ugh. Just ugh.
3) Keeping your damn cat fed. You know, I'm STILL not sure what it does. Does the cat always run away in the end??? Or if you keep him fed, does he stick around or something. Gotta look this one up on the internets.
4) Death Peak. I hate Lavos spawn. Not especially difficult or anything, but I just hate fighting them.
5) Any boss battle that can revive other parts of the boss, you know? Dragon Tank, Lavos' final form, etc.

That's about it, I suppose.

Queen Zeal. Hallation. The move itself was annoying enough, but did she HAVE to misspell the damn thing, too? THERE IS ONLY ONE L IN THE WORD HALATION, YOUR MAJESTY.

Ah... that is one proximity spell Mother managed to pass on to me. *smiles*

As for the game itself... I'd have to say Dalton's double golem guards in the undersea palace that fateful day so long ago.

They never bothered me. I've developed a technique for fighting Golems - if you time your attacks right and never use the same element twice in a row, you can confuse them and they won't be able to get their own attacks off before you force them to switch their element and restart their wait time. Oh, and no physical attacks; Iron Orb seems to be faster than their magic.
