What did you have trouble with in Chrono Trigger? I've been reading and it seems there is always something.
Me? I tend to get lost and that dorky stuff.
Post what you had trouble with and maybe we can help each other! What is better than looking at your game to see Lv** for your characters blaugh

Nice topic razz
Uhh... I think what always got me in trouble was actually leveling up to actually stand a chance against Lavos sweatdrop
I remember the first time I played, I didn't even care about level up, because most of the enemies were kinda easy, so how hard could Lavos be?
Oh man, the pwning... The horror... The Horroooooorrr!! gonk

I think as a child I didn't understand the concept of levelling up, so I'd just end up fighting Yakra or the Dragon Tank over and over without success. >w<

It seems to be a very common problem razz
And since I started playing it as a kid, and didn't have the enough knowlegde I have now, I missed a lot of things, like the note on the body of the dead soldier on Mystic Mountain warning about the magical defense of the Juggler in Magus' Lair. So, that was a rough one for me

The thing that always drove me nuts, and still does today, though not as much:
When you finally get two parts of the Lavos core defeated and the third revives them. scream

Bright_Eyes The thing that always drove me nuts, and still does today, though not as much: When you finally get two parts of the Lavos core defeated and the third revives them. scream xd First time I got there, it drove me seriously mad! When the surviving orb would revive the other two parts, I would simply sigh in disappointment, check inventory and state: "Great... I'm running out of Megaelixirs..." razz

The trick to lving is to hit the Black Omen in 1000, 600, THEN 12000BC, that way you get all the exp for doing it three times, but only have to fight be bosses once...
well, cept for Queen Zeal.
The cores *shivers* took me forever to figure out the center was not the part that needed to die.

I dunno, I wonder what would happen if you faced Gato solo at lv1?

Kong Ailing I dunno, I wonder what would happen if you faced Gato solo at lv1? I've done it. It takes a little while. Not too hard, but still.

How about the first time you entered Magus Castle and you had to face Flea, or Slash or even Ozzie? razz

I...HATE....Flea!!!
She confuses my two heavy hitters and that leaves my last one (either Marle or Lucca) to fend for herself.

Oddly enough, the only trouble I ever had with the game was 1) getting lost on the worldmap because I wasn't sure where to go next (especially in the future time), and 2) Surviving the Lavos battle and his many forms...ugh...

That was basically my first problem too, not being fluent in englisht at that time prevented me from read some hints and whatnot, so, I confess, the first time I ever played Chrono Trigger I found it to be a bit frustrating for me!
