"Ow!" came Keagan's response as Ace's flailing arm hit him. The twins managed to seperate themselves from Ace and sat for a moment, glancing at Susan. "Not as tired as usual. And... there was something different about it."
Kaden nodded. "It wasn't just having more... power or whatever he was doing to help," Kaden jerked his thumb at Ace. "It was something else."
"It was cool!" was Keagan's oh-so-helpful input.

Susan shook her head, "What was really cool? What do you mean, something other than a power boost?" She frowned, "Speed? Emotional?"
"Just the cool factor, huh?" Ace grinned at Keagan.
"Shut-up, Ace."
"Yes, ma'am." Ace didn't argue when Susan stopped being polite.

Kaden frowned for a moment as he tried to put what he'd felt into words. "It was like... we didn't have to think as much to each other on what we were going to do... It just... happened."
Keagan stared at his brother for a long moment. "You're right....."
Kaden rolled his eyes at his twin. "So helpful. I wonder if we can do it again... It was easier to move like that."

Susan sighed as she looked at the boys, unconsciously tucking hair that had fallen back behind her ears as she considered, "Alright. I want you two to this about this then. It seems like it's better if you think about your plans before you join together, if thinking together helps you out. Perhaps that will help you out in the end as well. What do you think about that?"

Keagan shrugged. "Guess it sounds okay..." He glanced at Kaden. "Guess we should figure out a plan of attack before we merge again, eh?"
"Sounds like a good idea," was the other twin's comment. The two threw a look at Susan before retreating a short distance and whispering for a few moments.
"Alright!" Keagan grinned. "Let's try it again!" The boy had thought that they should learn how to do some really cool merging scenes. Like one of them jumping into the other... How COOL that would be!! Luckily, they stuck to just simple stuff around Susan, figuring she wouldn't be as thrilled with what they spent their freetime on as they were. They'd have to show Ace later, though. He'd like that sort of thing.

Susan smiled a bit as the boys retreated to discuss a plan, and tugged Ace to the side to speak to him as well. Was HE concentrating at all? Realizing what he was doing was---
The boy was impossible. No, no he had no idea, and he still thought that they were all playing a grand joke on him by even saying he had abilities. She really would like to wring his neck sometimes. But she'd leave that up to Raleigh. If that odd mixture of cynicism and peace couldn't ground this cloudy boy, she...well, she knew her next step, and both parties would hate her for it. She'd rather avoid that.
But now Keagan and Kaden had come back. "I like how you two are always ready to try more," She praised, then pointed Ace to the side, "Go sit."
"What am I, a dog?" Ace complained.
"Yes. Sit. NOW."
Ace blinked at her, then decided it wasn't an argument worth following and wandered to the sidelines to do as asked.
"Alright, boys, give me some more amusement." Susan grinned at them, purposely folding her arms to give them the signal that she didn't think they could pull much more off today. They liked to be challenged, no matter how small, and Susan was always glad to give it out.

The twins grinned at Susan before merging once again. They had noticed the last time that it didn't seem to be as hard to keep it going. Or maybe that was just their excitement. Who knew, really?
The merged twins, or Kadagaen, flashed a grin at Susan. They knew this was going to be tough, seeing how Susan was much tougher than them and that their only power was close combat. Which really sucked, but what could you do?
Kadagaen rushed towards Susan, running full out. Their genius plan? To slide into Susan's legs at the last moment and knock her down. Hopefully without causing her to fall on top of them.

Susan worked with a couple of geniuses.
That was probably why she had let her guard down so much, getting lazy in watching the boys. That was why she intentionally waited-- but waiting was a hair second too late. She moved swiftly, and almost entirely out of their power-run, but as they bent to tackle her legs (not at all a surprise movement, she'd seen how they'd anticipated the move), her toes caught his arm, and she found herself half-tripping as she moved out of the way.
She was going to get these boys some fighting practice training. And chess classes.
