One of my friends has a boy sugar glider named Peka. Peka liked playing with my hair when it was dyed red. Now, my hair is back to its natural brown color and he won't play with it anymore. My friend has red hair and Peka still plays with her hair. Is is possible Peka has a color perference for hair or is it something else? exclaim

That is VERY weird. I haven't noticed that with mine, but it is certainly possible. I DO believe they can see colors and DO have color preferences, often irrational ones. Lilo seems to like purple dishes more than yellow ones for some inexplicable reason. They ALL prefer their brightly colored toys to the duller ones at my house. So it is possible, I suppose...

Thanks. I guess I'll have to get a red wig to get Peka to sit on my head again.

You'll have to let us know how that goes! Ha!
I tried getting my 3 to pose with me in my Halloween costume with purple hair but I think the witch hat scared them because they would NOT come to me!

If they can see colors, it would seem to make more sense that they'd go after brighter colors (like red and purple)... that would be the color of fruit that they'd usually eat, you know? But don't quote me on that. xd It's just a thought.
Romeo seems to like most colors, but he *hates* pink. I gave him a pink pouch, and he refused to sleep in it for a few weeks, then when I took it out and gave him his usual pouch (it's green camouflage), I noticed that he had thoroughly destroyed the inner lining of the pink one. O_o Another time I set the pink pouch near his cage, and he attacked it and threw it off the stand his cage is on. rofl He doesn't really seem to have a favorite color, though.
