"I know," he admitted with a dismissive tone, looking at her seriously. "But I feel, given the reason we met, a livelier place can take our mind off of things for a while." He smiled as he locked fingers with her and made his way out of the forest. All the while, were she looking at him, she would see that he actually had as deep rooted an appreciation for forests as someone else she knew.
She stopped at the edge of the forest, and he felt the tug at on his hand and immediately stopped. "I guess it would make sense to pick a place." He smiled kindly at her as he tried to make up his mind. What sort of place would she enjoy most? Being the cheerful type, as well as the physical sort, it made no sense to go somewhere dark and isolated. She didn't seemed to enjoy freedom, so a spacious place would be ideal as well. Unfortunately, the young kitsune, being his father's child, first and foremost thought of a fight club, but that was clearly the wrong sort of thinking. But...
"What about a club? We can dance, watch a live band, and get some drinks...but then...maybe some dinner first...are you hungry?"

"A...club?" Chrissy was a bit surprised to hear that come from Kenta, but she was pleased nonetheless. Astraea loved it in the dark coven where her prey drooled over her as if she were a goddess...they were a goddess. It was nice recieving that attention though. A broad smile lifted her features as she nodded enthusiatically. Well, of course she would have to change for the ocassion of dancing and such. She was covered in dirt and such from running around in the forest trainging. Her entire self would not due for the club. "I have to go change and get ready then. I'm a mess, Kenta." She laughed at herself, scanning her attire as if she were appalled.
Her eyes fluttered back over to Kenta, her hands unlocking with his. "Give me thirty minutes, and I'll meet you there." Before he could respond, Christiania disappeared, using her vectors along with her wind abilities to propel her out of the forest. She was going to be smokin' hot once she got to that club, and it made her laugh openly at the reaction of Kenta if he had one.

In the darkness of the forest where the trees clumped together, it was difficult to see much of anything without the beams of sunlight bursting through in small patches. Someone who may be taking a stroll may look up and see a shadow swinging from the branches with surprising speed. One may think it was a ghost because the body was simply flying through the air; however, they were wrong. The body was indeed alive as it moved gracefully from tree to tree without sound besides the occassional crunch of a branch beneath a mysterious force. And she did not fly, but her invisible hands easily grabbed hold of the limbs and propelled the ragdoll body forward. Sure, this may seem impossible to any person walking through the forest, but to Chrissy it was normal transportation nowadays. She gave herself over to her vectors who had no trouble flinging her body to and fro; actually they probably enjoyed doing it.
She stayed stoic until she came to a clearing where it appeared as though the trees had been sliced at the bottom of the trunk with a surgical knife. Chrissy smiled at the small clearing where the light was more prominent then anywhere in the forest. Of course she had wanted some light so why not create a haven for it? The earth was loosened from her training so it felt nice on her bare feet. Chrissy smiled. It was such a nice place to be, and soon he would be here as well enjoying this place with her. The thought made her blush faintly, but she was content knowing that it was with Kenta that this secret place would be shared. Chrissy had never shown this place to anyone, and it was in such a place that no one would find it unless she told them where it was. She giggled at her cleverness.
"Kenta?" She whispered, feeling her voice carry farther by the echo then ever before. She was dressed for the forest with a pair of ripped, worn denim jeans that hung low on her hips. There was one large hole on her right knee, another along the back of her left thigh, and a vertical one riding up her right thigh. The bottom was ripped and torn due to being too long. Her shirt was a deep green that matched the coloration of the forest which was cut in an angular fashion by brushing against the top of her jean, then cascading over the denim fabric into a point on her left hip. It was also a tasteful v-neck that showed just the right amount of her large breasts. Her eyes were encircled by a smoky black shadow that enhanced her startling aqua eyes to the point of nearly glowing in the dimmed lighting. Her hair fell wildly over her shoulders, twisting and curling from her flight to her place.
"I hope you're here," she whispered again, taking a seat on a fallen tree trunk with her chin resting lazily on her open palms. Man, he was late-it was getting late. Christiania wanted to show him this place before it got dark. Plus, she wasn't necessarily into the whole darkness thing yet. Even a dangerous diclonius had fears and dislikes: dark was one of them. Her right leg crossed over the other allowing her head to sit up farther to keep an eye out for Kenta. She wondered if he had gotten lost...but she left a good trail for him to follow. Chrissy took in a deep breath and smiled. He would find her.

"I'm here," his voice called out gently, not even leaving an echo before returning the forest to silence. He easily could have matched her pace, but he thought that he would go for making one of those standard bad-a** entrances he often saw in movies. Save for the natural sounds of the woods - usually the voices of insects and birds whose bodies kept their distance despite their calls - all Chris would be able to hear was the sound of crunching and snapping as Kenta's booted feet carried him through, crushing fallen leaves and twigs beneath his weight.
His measured pace might be considered ominous were Chris not expecting him. The fact that each step was in perfect rhythmic unison suggested something of a stalking presence, although his smile totally destroyed that sense of dread, not that she could see it. Natural shading helped mask his face, but so too did the hat that he wore low, his head bowed.
By the time he finally neared Chris's clearing, his blood was racing uncontrollably. As girly as it might sound, he really did feel as though he were half dreaming. Most girls who had any real interest in him were shallow, flaky, unintelligent, or otherwise undesirable. That's not what made her interesting though. He found himself in awe that of all the women he would grow up to know, his age or otherwise, he had always had a juvenile crush on Miss Chrissy, who was not his elder in this time and place.
He paused just enough to keep his body covered in shadow from the chest up. What he revealed were the aforementioned boots, into which fell a pair of loose fitting jeans. These brown, leather adventurer's shoes were complemented with a matching belt held fast with a golden buckle and a pair of gloves that hung as low as high as a third of the way up his forearm. The white tee he had tucked in could be seen illuminated from the abdomen down, and his silhouette had already exposed the presence of his hat.
"I could never get lost following your scent. It's call is too strong to resist." Still smiling, he kept his head low for effect, stepping into the light and ever closer to her, his arms hanging at his sides. Fortunately it was none too hot, but his gear certainly seemed to be designed to keep one's body well protected from the elements. Slowly he removed his gloves and let them fall to his right. "So this is where you come to train?" He checked the place out from the corners of his eyes. "It's nice."
Removing his hat, he rose his head high, still grinning as he lowered his headpiece to reveal his face. Although his eyes did now glow, they shimmered in the sun, soft as they could be. His raven locks looked no worse for wear and his ears stood erect with the obtrusive hat no longer bearing them down. Extending and arm to take Chris's hand - it was his desire that the gloves not separate her touch from his - he made to lift her onto her feet and into his arms.

A small, cheerful smirk caressed her plump lips at the sight of her lover who looked mysterious and intimidating beneath the hat. She knew that he was nothing of the sort to her, so it only made her smile broadly. He was so cute, and Christiania could hardly stand it sometimes, but he was also sexy. God, he was so attractive. The diclonius held back a blush and released a chuckle at his comment about her scent. "Is it now? I hope that's not a bad thing, " she cooed, gnawing on her lower lip playfully as he got closer to her.
Her eyes never left the masked figure, her body moving into a more polite sitting position so that she didn't seem upset to see him. On the contrary she was absolutely delighted he had followed her here to this sacred place of hers. Kenta didn't know that no one besides her have laid eyes on this arena, and she had no intention of saying so either. She enjoyed keeping the intimate details to herself. "You like it?" Her eyes brightened in happiness when he complimented her second home, and then her cheeks darkened slightly. She was such a child, but it was nice when someone approved of something she owned or did. "I-I'm so glad! It took me a few hours to get it the way I wanted, " Chrissy reminisced taking a quick look around at the work she had done. Yes, she had sliced down the trees in such a way to create a barrier from the outside world and loosened the ground so the impact of the earth floor wouldn't be so harsh on her joints. She smiled at her work, turning her gaze back to kenta who was standing infront of her with hand outstretched.
Her flesh flushed a light pink but she eagerly grabbed his hand and pulled herself into his arms. His scent flooded her nostrils and she took a deep breath so all the memories hit her happily. She nuzzled into the crook of his neck her arms latched to each other behind it. her eyes were closed peacefully while she listened to the drumming of his pulse. It was a bit staggered, and it made Chrissy smile lightly. It made her own heart skip a few beats. "Hi, " she whispered kissing where the heartbeat was most prominent along his flesh. She let her lips linger before burying her face into the cushiony part of flesh between the collar bone and his shoulder. Her grip around his neck tightened, pulling the kistune closer to her so they were basically against one another. She had missed him.
Eventually, the diclonius pulled away from his neck so she could get a good look at his face. The light was dimming, but he was still as handsome as he would be in the light if not more so. "I'm so happy you're here, Kenta..." Her eyes were beaming, revealing the unexplainable joy that was coarsing through her body. A nail skimmed across the skin at the top of his back, tracing patterns every few moments lazily as if she hadn't even known what she was doing. She was too overjoyed to even think about what her body was doing.

"Well you did a very good job," he answered tenderly as he pulled her into her arms, wrapping both arms softly around her waist. Of course his cheeks were filled with color, but no longer with as much intensity as he had experienced the last couple of times. He was comfortable with the idea of being with her, but the feelings he had for her were still more than a simple wagging tail could contain, and wag it did, like the propeller of a helicopter.
He laid his head on top of her own, his cheek buried in a bed full of her hair. It was soft, comforting, and fragrant and his body warmed and felt like velvet as his senses dulled and his body relaxed. Daring to open his eyes, he caught the site of the forest, glowing orange under the sun's setting. The form of the trees bathed in the sunlight was somehow very vivid to him, and try as he might, he was sure time stood still as not even the faintest of all sounds echoed in his ears, not even the beat of his own heart.
"Hi," he responded at length as she pulled away, his tail holding fast to her as though to bar her from moving too far. Even her luminescent blue eyes glowed with a faint hint of golden sunlight as they stared at him so lovingly, and he was sure that his own soft gray eyes did the same as they returned her gaze. "I'm happy that you invited me, happy that you led me, but most importantly, I'm happy that you're happy." He barely finished the sentence before he began to purr. Either he was very happy or the sensation that ran from her finger into his back was a very comforting one.

Happy that you're happy. Well, that wasn't a phrase she was used to. Every day of her life she has been devoted to making others happy rarely thinking of her own feelings. The fact that Kenta even acknowledged the fct that she had emotions made her heart swell. For once Christiania wasn't worried about what he was thinking, or if she was doing something that made him uncomfortable. Actually, it was probably the first time she consciously made the decision to not care. Kenta cared about her no matter how she acted or didn't, and that tension that was always tearing her heart apart was not even traceable at the moment. Just thinking about it made her hand trace the faint creases of his face where a smile was lingering drawing her index finger across his lips gently. She was so focused on that moment that she found it hard to pull herself from the trance she was in.
The tug against her leg, however, tugged her head back into reality as she noticed that her body wasn't permitted to move far from Kenta's. It made her blush slightly, but she enjoyed the attention. "It's like my little sanctuary I guess," she muttered to the earth, kicking at it like a small child in trouble. Chrissy, though a legal adult, acting more like a child than an actual child did. Her maturity level was staggering low when she first arrived at Orion, but it has steadily rose since then. Still, it didn't mean she was anywhere close to where her mind was supposed to be. Besides, most of her actions were from the instincts of the diclonius' nature. Much of what she ever did around Kenta was because of that, but that was about actions rather than mentally. Her species never affected her mind unless it was Astraea, but she was physical.
Giggling softly, she turned her gaze back on the kitsune with her head tilted ever so slightly to the right. "You came in all mysterious-like," she mentioned, motioning to the hat and gloves and such. Indeed, kenta did enjoy making an entrance it seemed. Chrissy had actually thought he was an intruder at first glance, and he was lucky she realized who he had been as quickly as she had. Christiania was very protective of this sanctuary and intruders were not tolerated. of course she wouldn't tell him about the impending doom he could have faced because of his mystery. Well, maybe she would. "Scared me too. I thought you were some bad person or something..." She emitted another low giggle, realizing how ludicrous she must have sounded. Kenta obviously knew her scent by memory, yet she was still having trouble distinguishing his smell from the rest of the world. Not only that, but Christiania never had a good sense of smell; especially not as advanced as Kenta's.
A finger ran across her nostril, rubbing it as an intching sensation caught her attention. Stupid nose. Her eyes flickered around the clearing as the sun lowered behind the trees painting a beautiful evening. The stars were already gleaming against the navy sky above the two lovers, and she could have easily pointed out a few constellations that a few people had taught her awhile ago while she roamed aimlessly. Her eyes eventually focused on the darkening sky that she admired so. A small smile creased her lips as she quickly lifted her finger, pointing towards a bright, seemingly red looking star. "That's Mars." She had no idea what compelled her to tell him such a useless fact, and it made her blush a red to dwell on it. Her arm retracted as did her eyes-both of which fell limply to the ground. Thank God the dakrness engulfed the two so he couldn't see her mortified face. Really she was positive Kenta knew the constellations and planets since forever. It just revealed her lack of knowledged about the universe and the inhabitants. She sighed, chewing on her bottom lip. Well, at least the night was beautiful besides her naive stupidity.

He could tell she was content just by holding her. Chris's body was completely relaxed near his and he could feel none of the telling signs of nervousness; racing blood, a pounding heart, averted eyes, or furious blush. To be sure, there was color in her cheeks, but not the sort of color that indicated discomfort, and for this the male kitsune was glad. He smiled at her for a while, not really measuring time in any form or fashion under the waning sunlight. Without hesitation he allowed her fingers to fill in some of the features of his face, purring lightly as she ran over his mouth. She would feel the quiver in his lips, he knew.
"This is a great place for a sanctuary," he said to her softly as he saw her blush deepen. "You probably couldn't have chosen a better place." From what he knew, few people bothered to walk through the Darkwood for any reason. There was nothing out here that others couldn't find elsewhere, and even Orion's inhabitants had various other means of conveyance when it came to coming and going. Maybe Miss Ichi might travel through from time to time, but she wouldn't wander around blindly For that reason, Kenta thought that Chris had chosen a pragmatic and appropriate place to call sanctuary. It wasn't out of the way, nor was it conspicuous.
Her giggling brought his eyes back into focus, long since foggy from her natural glow. Apparently he had made quite the entrance, which was exactly what he had wanted to do, so he was pleased at her reaction in some ways, indifferent to the potential side effects of shocking or scaring her. He'd have to remember not to pop out of nowhere any time soon. "Even if I were a bad person," he said to her gently, "that doesn't mean I can't be good to you does it?" Clearly he was teasing a bit because they both knew he wasn't bad, but he hoped she understood what he meant by it. There were a number of reasons for him not to do anything wrong anyway, the foremost being that he knew at least half a dozen people who would kill him on sheer principle.
Deciding that such information would kill the mood, Kenta just remained silent and held her, watching the stars grow brighter with her as the sun sank lower. Velvet night was a beautiful thing. For who knows how long he was at peace, almost transcending his own consciousness as he gazed at the infinite heaven. "That's Mars." Again his eye dilated and he looked down to face Chris, who apparently seemed to regret having said anything at all. She brought her arm down and was on the verge of closing herself off he could see, so he knew he would have to do or say something fast.
"Where?" He looked up again for a moment, darting his eyes to and fro intentionally so that they wouldn't be able to focus easily on the tiny needle points in the sky. 'Accidentally' he lost his balance and fell over Chris turning over as they descended so that he would land on his back and her on top of him. "I don't see it. Could you show it to me again? I want to see Mars and all the other stars and planets you know. Please?" He really laid it on thick when he begged, both to express interest and make her feel important to him. Hopefully it would work.

Her eyes were collectively dimming against the blackened sky as she withdrew into herself without even thinking about it. The habit was a terrible one that had to be transformed before Chrissy could ever move forward as a person; however, her naive comments and questions were hard to get over, and she always assumed people were going to think she was stupid or something. Clearly, she was intelligent, but she just had no idea how to put it into a conversation sometimes. Obviously this was something she would have to learn by conversing with people more often, but until then the diclonius would have to live with her anti-social mishaps. Even with that knowledge, she could feel her body gradually closing off to the social, and outside world in general. She would be hopeless if she was fully sucked into a depressing world of two steps backward.
Abruptly, though, she heard Kenta's inquisitive voice pierce her ears enough to pull her out of the growing silence. She blinked, staring up at him with a crazed expression. Was he stupid or something? Obviously not, but his silly reaction to her question made her smile faintly nonetheless. He must have been acting for her, because the usual Kenta wouldn't have acted so silly. Either way, she had to admit it was really, really cute. A giggle escaped her lips whch quickly tuned into a gasp as he fell forward taking her with him. She squeaked in surprise shutting her eyes long enough for impact. Instead of the soft earth she was prepared for, she landed ontop of Kenta. Chrissy shifted her weight so she was able to look at him full on in the face-her eyes were bright again and filled with childish humor.
"It's right there," Christiania pointed again, rolling off him so she was lying adjacent to him. Se had to admit, he was pretty good at begging, but she still knew that he was laying it on for her. She muttered a soft thank you, nuzzling her face into his side affectionately. The diclonius appreciated his attempts to make her feel better more than he would ever realize."I don't know many...what about you? Tell me the ones you know," she pleaded with genuine curiousity flooding her eyes and the words she spoke. Also, Chrissy wanted to turn the conversation around so she wouldn't have a chance to isolate herself again. Besides it was an awesome opportunity to learn from him, and perhaps gain some insight about the universe and all the planets she didn't know about yet. The knowledge she could gain from the next few minutes caused excitment to boil up inside her again, and her hand clutched his shirt to send some energy somewhere. To ease her racing heart and brain for just a few minutes. "Please...show me everything Kenta."

"Everything?" he turned his head to look at her for a moment, trying to think of a better response. Truth be told, he didn't know much about constellations, star names, or the visible planets. He could actually point to a few, but he had no idea what their names were or what they were supposed to look like, which made his information virtually useless.
He did remember one thing though.
"Well first there's Polaris, which most people know. It will always hang in the Northern sky no matter what and doesn't move nearly as much as the ones overhead." He pointed to it, even though it was probably one of the easiest stars in the world to recognize, being as bright as it was. Usually during a first glance, he couldn't see any other stars in its immediate area.
"If you look west of that, and a bit higher, you should be able to see a star that's actually brighter than the North Star. I believe its name is Vega. When I first heard about it, I was shocked because everyone always told me the North Star was the brightest in the sky. Luckily I never needed to navigate using the night sky or I'd have been screwed." He laughed lightly as his left arm reached for her right, holding her gently as he felt his blood pulse through their fingers. It was a warm, soft, good feeling that he enjoyed very much.
"Now if you look down you'll see another bright star, and then further west there's another one. Together they form some sort of triangle, but I don't know what it's called. Other than that though, I can only show you Orion, and I don't think he's up yet." With a light blush, he laughed to shake off his embarrassment. From the looks of things, neither of them knew much about astronomy. At least he had learned where Mars was though.

She soaked up his information as if he knew as much as a professor majoring in astronomy. Her eyelids were lowered slightly while he spoke, his voice a soft lullaby to her ears. Chrissy smiled dreamily as he pointed to different stars, telling her what he knew. She nodded encouragingly, looking back at him with an appreciative smile caressing her lips. "That's really interesting," she muttered sweetly, kissing his shoulder. She didn't have any problem with the information he apparently sputtered because information was information, and if he knew less it still wouldn't have mattered to her. The fact that he cared enoguh to tell her made her happier still.
He mentioned something about Orion, and her eyes peaked open in curiousity. Orion was named after a constellation? Christiania had never thought about it, and she had to admit she was a bit disappointed when the constellation was nowhere to be seen. Chrissy found it interesting and beautiful just learning about things like this, but seeing them was an experience that overjoyed her. People would never actualy know how much observing things excited the diclonius. Childish or not, she never thought anything was wrong with learning-she adored it so much! "Wow...that sounds wonderful," she said in pure amazement, resting her head where she had nuzzled only a few moments before. That was until she noticed something in the far right corner of the sky.
"Is that Orion?" She questioned, pointing at a strange line of stars that perplexed the diclonius to no end. She had never noticed stars that sat in a perfect line horizontally. It actually reminded her of a belt sort of. Funny little thought. Her eyes were wide now as she watched the glowing stars and how faintly they glittered amongst the others. How did anyone notice something so insignificant against the painted sky that had thousands of stars that were much brighter than those three? Chrissy yawned quietly in all her awe, realizing she was a bit tired now that the it was nighttime, but she had no intention fo sleeping. Kenta was so damn comfortable though.

For his own part, Kenta simply lay there lazily, content with Chris next to him. Her kiss was as soft as velvet and he'd have loved her to kiss him again, but of course he couldn't say anything. The moment was too perfect to be relived. A purr still rumbled through his body each time he breathed outward, and he had quite forgotten about it.
Her own voice was soothing in itself. She wasn't jaded against the world and still took a great interest in knowledge. He appreciated her enthusiasm and innocence very much, and could be patient with anything she might need to grow into. Smiling, he tilted his head to east to see what she saw. With a faint smile he answered with a mild, "No."
"That," he continued as he shifted onto his side, letting go of her hand, but propping his arm under her as a pillow, "is Orion's belt. Look further to the south and you can see his feet. Toward the north, do you see that bold yellow star?" He pointed toward the star with his right hand. "That's his shoulder."
Before laying back on his back, he planted a soft kiss on the back of her neck, hoping it reached through her hair. He then looked straight back up into the sky, stifling a yawn that indicated more contentment than fatigue. "You've got a good eye," he said to her encouragingly as his tail moved to and fro along the grass.

The purr made her smile sheepishly because she happened to really like cats. They were quiet, intelligent creatures that Christiania enjoyed playing with. Dogs were wonderful animals as well with their playful demeanor, and she adored them equally. It was cute to think that her boyfriend was a Kitsune, and he held most of the personality of an actual Cat. At least, he reminded her of one everytime they came into contact-not that it was a bad thing of course. She chuckled, pressing her lips against his earlobe playfully before shifting her body to fit better against his arm that was beneath her
"Thank you," she murmured softly at his compliment. Alright so she had made a mistake, but at least she learned something new. When Kenta pointed out the constellation she had mistaken, her eyes followed his finger intently. Orion was easily noticed once she put it all together in her mind. He looked so strong in the stars, and then she began thinking about the stars in general. How did they get there? Billions of years created such a beautiful night sky, and Chrissy couldn't help but be fixated by the beautiful balls of gas. "It's so pretty." His lips brushed against the skin on her neck, and it made her shiver slightly in happiness. Kenta had that ability: anywhere he touched or kissed made her skin shiver. She loved that feeling and hoped that he was the same way when she touched him. The diclonius adored Kenta more than he would ever know. She beamed at him, her eyes drifting from the sky down back to him. She stared at him for a moment before flipping her feet over her head, using the momentum gained from that to roll backward, and in that same moment stand using the momentum from the roll. She was standing and she appeared really excited about something.
"I wanna show you something else," she whispered in a lighthearted tone. There was another part to her sanctuary that didn't necessarily have anything to do with training. She knew other people had found the sanctuary, but this one she didn't mind sharing so much. People had a right to enjoy natural beauty, and Christiania followed that idea strictly. Her hand stretched out to take his, grinning at the sight of his tail swishing to and fro contently. She had no intention of running ahead this time. The diclonius was enjoying her time too much with him to leave.

He remained for a while, staring at the stars and enjoying the feel of Chris beside him. Occasionally his eyes wandered back to her, an irreparable smile decorating his features. Her gratitude was adorable, to which he responded with a simple, pleasant hum. The stars were a genuine mystery, especially considering how old they were supposed to be and how much mankind had learned of them in their so little time. It made him wonder just how much truth their was to the theories that the balls of gas burned for billions of years. The study of the cosmos wasn't even billions of years old yet, so how could anyone validate the claims?
As it was, it didn't really matter. When she shivered, he felt a pulsing rush of satisfaction, knowing that his kiss had the intended effect of delighting her, which was always a good thing. Fortunately, she was none too hard to please, which was delightful in and of itself. Then, as their eyes met, she rolled out of sight, back on to her feet near his head. Rolling on his side, he pushed himself up into a kneeling position, brushing off his knees.
"Something else?" he asked curiously as he got to his feet. The look in his eyes announced his intrigue loudly and he would have been hard pressed to try to cover it up. Even his ears were moving attentively, slowly stiffening as though he might miss his one chance at catching sound of something very important. "Something like what?"
Taking her hand, he felt the heat pulse between the two of them as he allowed her to lead the way, feet ruffling in the grass as they walked. He had no idea where they were going, but he was eager to find out.

The red haired fox sat on a limb high in one of the many trees in the forest. with his back to the center of the tree, he had enought support to not even worry about anything getting surprised or attacked. The forest was so thick with energy that it was almsot as a sonar for him. Nothing was hidden from him. This was why it was his favorite relaxation spot.
It was easy to ponder and think when the natural order of life seemed to flow around you. this feeling brought him back to a time when he could only look, could only plan, could only touch. It brought him back to the revilation that allowed him to see, think, and feel. It was that simple revilation that opened to him the whole world......
Yo-ko woke up to pain in his lower back. Unable to register what it was, he kicked, pushed wiggled to get free. When he realized he couldnt, he panicked. It was then that a fist finally came down on his head. to his astonishment, and releaf, if was her again. or mildly raspy voice spoke words of wisdom and direction to him.
"why did you panic! you could have escpaed! had you just focused and felt you would have known my back was to you. one attack from you would have sent me flying. Damn, yo-ko, you are helpess."
It was Genkai. his old and wise teacher. she was a human with no demonic blood or life in her. but her spiritual abilities where unsurpassed. Not even by the demon lords.
"sorry genkai. i tried." spoke Yo-ko, his younger self getting up from his bed.
"No you didnt. you did not even begin to think. you may have planned, but you did not think. plans fail. thinking does not. "
She took yo-ko from the bed and led him down the hall to the training hall. It was time for this mornings torture to begin. Yo-ko wondered what it would be today, balancing on spikes, obsticle courses, demon brawls? but no, not today. today there was paper, ink, and knives set on the floor. she spoke out just as Yo-ko spied his eyes on them.
"my stupid student, today i am going to open the world to you. today we are going to practice seals."
Yo-ko was astounded. he already knew seals.
"but genkai, i already know seals..."
"NO! you udnerstand them and can midly minipulate them. you do NOT know them!"
And for hours the progressed, writting, imprinting, fusing. Yo-ko got nothing out of it. he wondered why she was waisting his time.
"yo-ko, you need to stop looking and start seeing. stop touchign and start feeling. open yourself up. "
"Genkai i...."
Then it hit him. his eyes where closed. the world was more...complex yet beautifly simpler then he thought. using your spirit in place of ink and blood to imprint.....
it was then that Yo-ko had had his eyes opened to the real world for the very first time. and for years of practice, it was his only world. Genkai spoke shortly after.
"you first experince reality through perceptions. let them go and offer your spirit into the world. dont trust what your eyes ears and tounge and nose tell you. feel!!! think!!! and open you eyes......!"
Yo-ko woke with a start, realizing he had dozed off. it was stupid of him, but he realized if any energy neared him, he would have known. for now however, he was ready to go back and hang with his friends. he was bored anyways....
