isn't Love Hina that one about the guy that inherates this hotel on an island with lots of girls (that are immodest) inhabbit? I never even looked at it, it looked too inapropriate from the cover alone.
i like how this tread became a manga discussion....ah well!

suu-san i like how this tread became a manga discussion....ah well! Actually, it always was. See? Itesa This thread got me thinking. Suu-san asked for recommendations of "good, Mormon-appropriate" mangas./quote] Anyway, I don't have much to add to the Manga part of it all... I don't even really LIKE Anime ninja And yes, I realize I AM on Gaia.... but yeah. But just in general in judging media, it is really easy to SAY "13th Article of Faith!" and leave it at that, but the fact is there is a lot of personal choice in there... and there SHOULD be (that whole NON-Choice plan was suggested and shot down, you know wink ). But I think it is pretty hard to SUGGEST "Mormon-Appropriate" anything... books, movies, etc. because unless it is, like, churchy stuff, people are going to have differing opinions of "how bad is too bad" and even what they would watch with the Savior as a house guest. It is like my mission president used to say Don't let someone else be your spiritual barometer.

Idk, there are types of manga, like shonen and shojo manga is for boys and girls, so I'd say to try learning about the types of manga. It really helps.

Itesa Nephite Warrior Although it's one of my absolute favorite anime/manga, I wouldn't suggest Love Hina if I am correctly understanding what you mean by 'good'.....lol.... I wouldn't recommend "Love Hina" anyway. Sorry, Nephite Warrior, but my husband and I were quickly disaffected with it. The way the poor main character was always being punched or kicked into orbit when, by and large, he hadn't done anything to deserve it was distressing. I never read the manga though, only saw the anime. I think that that is what makes Love Hina funny. That and the random guy that always rolls his van and bleeds everywhere. If there is a reason not to watch the show it is all the nearly naked women. Never read the manga though...it could be worse.
