In manderine the pronounciation for 4 is pronounced the same way 'die' would be pronounced too. They're pronounced si or shi.

The Japanese consider the number 4 to be bad luck because of the other meaning. :3 I think the other one is 7, but I don't remember.

xD my building number skips the number '113'

if it comes to a situation where 'shi' is used, people usually distinguish it by how the rest of the sentence goes. it's like saying 'she sees seashells on the sea shore...' if you hear it, you know exactly what they're saying even though they say 'sea' and 'see' are pronounced the same..

and shi as in death and shi as in four don't have diffrent pronounciations or any different ways to say them. They sound exactly the same... xP
