Aww, baby. *Hugs*
I... sorrrt of understand why girls wouldn't want a lesbian as a roommate.
You're not wrong for being upset, not at all, so don't think that's what I'm saying!
It's just... Well, they'd probably think of it as kind of like having a straight guy for a roommate. Kiiiind of.
Because y'know, a lot of girls will get out of the shower and walk into the other room with a towel on to find something to wear. I'm sure they would feel uneasy, whether you're checking them out or not.
But I understand your problem with it. You have a valid point. Just because you're a lesbian does NOT mean you'll be checking every single girl out. "Gay" doesn't equal "slutty."

Valerie521 But I understand your problem with it. You have a valid point. Just because you're a lesbian does NOT mean you'll be checking every single girl out. "Gay" doesn't equal "slutty." People really need to understand that... The media and at least half of America loves gay men. They get their own shows, they're praised for their stereotyped fashion sense.. Lesbians don't get very much. They have The L Word, but it doesn't seem like many people have heard of it. sweatdrop
I'd say I'm about 70% of the way to being full-on lesbian, and I'm far from slutty. Even when my close friend (whom I was crushing on) and I bellydance in her room in just bras and skirts, I don't check her out or think dirty things. It's like.. It's just a bra. It's really no different from what I put on every day.

v e g a n l i c i o u s Yeah, I apparently can't get an apartment with roommates because none of the people in my area looking for roommates want to be living with a lesbian. I'm an extremely clean person and I don't smoke. I'm not a jerk. But because I'm gay that automatically means I will be attracted to any woman I see and make sexual advances. xDD Seriously though, looking for a roommate is sucking. I first of all need somebody who doesn't hate lesbians, then someone who also allows animals. >___> I think I'll be living at home forever as apartments are too expensive to rent on my own in this area.
So. Discuss: - Roommates: got one, want one, looking for one? - What would be an absolute deal-breaker? - Homophobia in the housing market. >__> - ETC. AS a lesbian, I would probably say no to a lesbian staying in my apartment unless during the phone interview she and I totally somehow clicked. We would have to click in the personal interview too, though. That's only because I've got a history of having very aggressive advances made on me. But, I would only be ok with living with a man if I knew he was interviewing guys too. I know how to handle advances from men.
I do not know how to handle advances from women. I don't usually get them.
Ehem. By 'click', I mean we have a ton in common and I feel we would mesh great and make great friends or business partners, in which case the professional attitude of roommates would be easier kept. Hopefully =[

- Roommates: got one, want one, looking for one? Got one. My sweetie. I don't want other roomates as they'd do more to annoy me. - What would be an absolute deal-breaker? Deal breaker would be pets/kids. No to kids and pets, possibly. Smoking I might tolerate. Pets, perhaps. Depends on what they had. - Homophobia in the housing market. >__> I've never experienced anything. 3nodding
