((Well stop multi-tasking! lol!))

Lin finally undid all the handcuffs and was confused to see a large grin on Dymetri's face. "I... am glad to see you are feeling so well. Surprised you are healing so quickly, but glad."

She sighed and walked over to the dresser, putting the handcuffs back on top of it. She cared for him, yes, and she was worried about him, but that didn't change what had happened right before he had left her room... what had been said.

She spoke softly, "I will make some more salves and pain medicine for you to keep on hand. When you are better able to move, you can put the salves on yourself. For now, I will do that. I expect to see my patient through until he is well... Professor Valen."

She knelt on the floor again, again made the mortar and pestle out of her spring water, and went to work. She had kept the left over herbs from earlier in a hidden pocket in her dress.

[[Well. At least that's not the only news I got.]]

"I apologize," he said, his face falling as he heard the appropriate name for him escape her lips. He stared at her with steady eyes, hands raising slowly to rub each wrist from the previous restraint.

"What exactly are you apologizing for?" She put some of the paste for burns in a small vial and stoppered it. She put it on his nightstand and then went to work on making some more medicine for his lesions.

"Because - NAG you? Hey, I never nagged you to do anything!" Ialo defended. He would have never acted like this around other people, it seemed that Luna brought out his old self. "I thought you looked fine," he continued, not realizing he could be digging a deeper hole. He followed Luna to the edge of the roof, and his gaze narrowed as he saw her posture stiffen and her weight shift. He placed his hand on her shoulder. "Let's bring you inside and get you some breakfast," he suggested quietly, his stern manner back.

"What's the matter?" Ophi asked Valrie as he let go of her hand for a moment to open the door to Ella's office. "Something worrying you?" He still cradled Krish in his arms.

"It's the air... it is so sad." Valrie said as her ears twitch just like Ella's would. She hid behind Ophi and clung to his shirt. Krish began to cry wildly as Jewlet appeared down the hall, walking quietly. As Jewlet got closer Valries grip tightened.

Jewlet looked up as she came close to the group. Her face and eyes where blank, but on the inside she was angry and laughing. 'Failed.' She thought as she blocked off her mind just in case. She tapped into Krish mind and told him to be quiet. Krish went quiet and then fell asleep 'Better.'

Ophiuchus was about to speak up, when Krish began to wail. He tryed to shush the boy, but he only calmed down a moment after a student, Jewlet, walked by. Ophiuchus looked up at her. Her mind was blocked off, so he couldn't pass the incident off as anything more than a coincidence. But there was still something in that blank gaze that made him suspiscious. He looked down at Valrie, who was gripping his shirt like the world was about to end. Magic oozed from his left hand, the arm holding Krish. It formed a shield around the boy, that blocked any psychic or magical interference. In fact, OPhi realized, he ought to make charms for these kids... He ushered Valrie into the office. "I know dear, I know..."

Jewlet looked back at them with narrowed eyes. 'Poor things are scared to death. Good.' She turned her head away and smirked. 'Cute, still has mother ashes.' She walked on and made it to her class. 'I should get that book from her though.'

Valrie quickly got into the nurses office and set the jar in a safe and stood close to it out of fear. She nodded her head as she calmed herself down. "That lady... she doesn't seem to have a soul." She said with a shaky voice as chills went down her spine.

He reached over for the vial and did as she mentioned, still watching her. "For the behavior that you accused me of in your dorm room. You.. you were right."
He blinked, breaking his gawk at her to watch his unsteady hands. That transformation had only happened once before.. And it wasn't that long ago. What was he becoming? A count? No.. That's impossible. Unless the lives of vampires are drastically lowering, that wouldn't happen. He needed to speak with a vampire who was older than him immediately.
If there was one anymore.
"I just don't know how to act anymore."

She smiled at him. She wondered about her previous thoughts about him, the negative ones at least. She doubted them for a couple moments until he touched her shoulder. She looked back down, she mentality already wondering how far down it really was. She turned back to him, her eyes soft and young. "Do you miss it?" she asked, looking up at him.
"Do you miss how it was like when you were attending Mystic Fountain?"

Lin sighed and stopped making the medicine for a moment. She looked up at him from her spot on the floor. "What do you mean, you don't now how to act anymore? What was wrong with how you were behaving yesterday, or last night?"

His head snapped up. "How do you think?" he hissed at her. "You're the one who enlightened me on my improper behavior. You of all people should know exactly what was wrong with me." His facial expression was in the form of a scowl but his eyes were, though stern, soft.

Lin scowled herself. "Well you were not supposed to agree with me! You are the older, more mature one! You are supposed to be the one to make the wise decisions!"

She sighed and stood up, going to sit on the chair by the dresser. She realized how ridiculous she sounded.

Athena stared at the clock in her classroom, silently willing it to go faster. There was something she needed to check, and she needed to check it now. It was of great importance, but not great enough importance to rush out of class. Alas, as the saying goes, 'a watched cauldron never boils'. She scowled as the seconds ticked by, each one slower than its predecessor. Tick-tock, tick, tock... tick... tock.....tick... She barely held in the growl welling up in her throat.

She needed to know when exactly the next new moon would be. If her calculations were correct, it would be the seventh new moon since her fourteenth birthday. That was something that she had been anticipating for a long time, but suddenly she was shying away. She didn't want it to happen at the same time that she did.

An explaination? Perhaps one is necessary. You see, on the seventh new moon after the fourteenth birthday, human-yokai mixes go through a change. Their human features become slightly more demonic, depending on their ancestry. For K9-type, their canines elongate to become similar to a dog's--which means they resemble vampires in a way, their claws become that much sharper, and they grow a tail to match their ears. Sometimes the eyes will become larger, with the iris taking up more than normal as well. They will also transform fully into a yokai form--Athena would become half-fox, half-dog. The transformation's time changes with each person--more powerful yokai take longer than weaker, and must stay in their form longer. One would think, though, that it would be the sixth month after the twelfth birthday, to make 666 (6+6=12, then 6 months), but because of the human, it is 777, the holy number (7+7=14, then 7 months).

It wasn't really the actual transformation that Athena feared, though. It was the amount of demonic aura and magic that she would release during it. It would be enough that, should a light creature touch her (well, for the average transformation), they would go into a state of shock. But if she, like her parents and most of her older siblings turned out to be more powerful, simply being with in a twenty-meter radius could do it, and a touch could be lethal. Lin would be in particular trouble...

And what would the elf think of her afterwards? They were already having trouble simply because of the half-demon thing, but after the transformation, she would be more demon-like than now, as she'd be able to change into her yokai form at will. Her aura would be more demonic. Thanks to her humanity, she would still be human enough, light enough that Lin wouldn't have trouble being around her. Normal demons would be affected by Lin's very presence and her touch or magic, but Athena's humanity caused that to become null. She had almost an immunity to white magic, though if used on or against her it would make her feel ill.

She was scared of something she'd never thought she'd be scared of. High school changes your life, she thought, as Aphrodite and Artemis always said... Too bad I never put much thought into that simple sentence 'til now.

Ophiuchus watched Jewlet walk away, focusing in on her heart. There wasn't anything there. "Yes, Valrie, you're right... She's empty inside. But, let's not worry about that right now." He shut the door behind him, focusing back on Valrie. "Now, that book - Redivivus Vita - I'm not forbidding you to read that, but don't try anything out of that book unless I'm watching you closely." He had a moment to reread the title of the book and thought that perhaps his daughter would try to bring back Ella. He would do the same thing.

Ialo stared bleakly at the horizon. "I can't really say. So much went wrong, it's hard to point out the good things." Ialo suddenly felt much older than he really was - only twenty-three, but here he was running a business, running a school, (unsuccessfully) saving students, and hiding the Fountain from the rest of the world. If given the chance, Ialo would have had no qualms with erasing the memories of everyone who knew of the existence of the Fountain. But if he did that, Riser, who still out there, would be able to get it with no problem. And if what Shuusuke and Aesop said was true, then there was something bigger out there. Perhaps the Big Five had come back together again? Ialo shut his eyes tightly and shook his head, as if flinging these very thoughts away from him. He was tired. He didn't want to deal with this right now. He unconsciously found Luna's hand, his mind working against him to seek comfort.

((Sorry I took my sweet time posting. Maybe we can get this party rolling again?))

Valrie looked down and then back up. "Okay." She said taking a seat on the floor. She looked at Ophi as he spoke. She nodded her head. "Yes, sir." She placed the book in her lap and leaned against the wall. She opened the book and began to read again.

With a short walking around the outline of the school grounds Chris turned back to the school itself. He Grabbed the book from his pouch and held it open seeing the book sketch the school without the damage. "If it wasn't such a dump this place would be pretty nice." He shut the book and stuck it back in the bag.

Finally, the bell let out a shrill ring, causing Athena's ears to flatten subconsciously, even though she'd been expecting it. Rushing out of her class, she walked as fast as she could while still constituting as walking on her way out of the school. She almost bumped into about half the student population on her way, but she dodged some and those she didn't dodge managed to dodge her. Magic schools had their perks.

After leaving the main building, she made a mad dash for her dorm room, jamming the key in impatiently and growling when it missed and caused a scratch on the door itself. "Get-in-there!" she said lowly to the key. It did go in, and she unlocked and opened the door, rushing over to her calendar.

Looking at the calendar, she searched first for the day's date ("Aha!") and then let her finger slide along the slick paper to that Saturday. Her eyes widened and she sighed. "Crap! Crap crap crap!" It was the day. She didn't have to count; the second she'd gotten that calendar, she'd grabbed a pen and counted the moons, then marked the date of her Transformation with excitement (after double- and triple-checking to make sure she didn't make any mistakes).

"Why do the fates have to mock me so...?" she wondered to herself, broodily leaving her dorm and heading for the gardens. The previous class had been her last class of the day, but she couldn't stand to stay in the dorm. She needed fresh air, and she hoped the gardens would provide her with that.

How would she get this done!?

Chris let out a bored sigh and Continued to walk around the campus. "God schools bore the hell outta me!" He Looked at a small stone in his path and kicked it watching as it his a tree and stuck there. He looked at it confused, and ran towards the tree that he hit.

He looked at the stone that was embedded into the tree like the blade of an axe in a log. "Wow never had that happen before." He pulled the stone out and tossed it back at the tree as it pierced the trunk like paper. "Ok this is weird"
