She chuckled, and it seemed as though a spell had broken over her and she turned to smile at the Elder.
"Stressed, but that is the least of my worries. I miss Anjafey terribly, but I don't regret having left to aid my sister. It seems Anjafey has taken a leave of absence as well, not that I blame her... It's nice though to take some time and deal with the things that one must."
She let out a soft sigh and turned her gaze to the trees and she seemed to stand a bit taller as her normal confidence and spirit seemed to return to her.
"Forgive me if I'm a bit informal, but I find myself more comfortable in speaking to you as a friend right now...."
She paused for but a moment in her speech before resuming with a smile once more.
"The wilderness is a wonderful thing, don't you think Kazuki? The air, the trees, the earth beneath your feet. The knowledge that you have knowing that even when you pass this will always be here in some form, and thus shall in times not yet arrived, provide shelter and comfort and sport for those who have yet to come... "
After a time she enters a small patch of woods and heads to the center of it, where the overhang is just enough to provide shelter should rains come. It was there that she had encountered Anjafey on that stormy night and it was there that they had realized very quickly how deeply attached they were to one another.
"How are things with you and Ari?"

"Yes the wilderness is wonderful.." Kazuki said softly. His gaze seemed to cloud over just slightly as he thought on the words that Ollure had said.
"Yet they can also be deadly more so then your worst enemy." He said finally raising his head as they reached the clearing. He looked around the area a bit slowing down some. The sheltered clearing was lovely to look at and seemed to have some comforting feeling. Kazuki walked forward having heard the question but not processing it right away. He stopped in the middle of the clearing ears perked.
"Oh.."His ears soften as he thought of a response for the vixen.
"Things I guess are well. I mean I only returned a short while ago. Just that Ari remains as stubborn as ever. " Kazuki sighed and shook his head softly before sitting down curling his tail around himself.
"As an Elder we are supposed to respected as such but to our tribe we should not just an authoritative figure but a friend that our tribe members can come to speak to." He said in a soft tone. Then he turned to look at Ollure.
"Come as a friend and Elder, I am here to listen. After all I can't make any decision fully without Ari's input. Unless of course he goes missing like I did." He let out a soft laugh and then sighed softly as his glaze turned upwards towards the covered sky.

((As the thread is pretty much dead, we will be having a time skip so that those still active can continue to RP. I have sent PMs to those whose petitions have been decided on: if you have not received a PM, then continue to RP as if you were still in your trial period. And please note a lack of decision does not mean anything bad or good--odds are, I may have just accidentally deleted your PM. Yeah. Whoops. Ari's paws crunched through the snow, as he looked over his tribe's lands. They had never been a particularly active group, and now deep in winter, it seemed that the tribe was less active still--some members had left the lands for one reason or another, hopefully to return soon, and the large number of hopeful new members had been dealt with as well.
Yes, the Lunarie lands were quiet as the moon and stars shone down during the long nights. Too quiet, even--it had been a few nights now since he had so much as seen another of his tribe's members.
Yes, the tribe lands were spacious, but not that large. Surely he should have seen someone by now. Concern had taken root in the pit of Ari's stomach, and continued to grow, as more and more time passed without any sign of even a single other fox within the lands.

Anjafey sat on the large rock by one of the streams, very still except for the slow motion of her tail and the occasional flick of her ears. It was quiet tonight, but it had been quiet every night, especially in the remote areas of the tribe lands she'd been in lately. Anja wasn't fooled; she knew how close she'd come several times to exile. Things had gone downhill so fast, and now she couldn't figure out which way was up. She hadn't acted like her true self in months (or was it even yeara now? She wasn't very good with dates anymore). Ari would never trust her again, and with the disapproval of an Elder came a feeling of...loneliness. Anjafey sat at the brink of her tribe, never fully part of the community anymore. She just didn't quite fit in.
Sighing to herself, Anjafey looked down at her reflection in the moving water, grimacing at what she was. She saw more than just purple and lbue; she saw a fox who had betrayed her very nature and the nature of her tribe, and for nothing. At the end of the day, she was alone. At the end of the day, others were convinced she was unstable.
She wasn't unstable. For a time she had been, and Ollure fixed that temporarily, but even she did not belong in Anja's life. No, the purple vixen did not feel violent or upset anymore; she just felt alone, and with no path back to belonging. How could she ever convince Ari that she wasn't a danger, to herself or anyone else? He just would give her the chance. He saw what he wanted to, and sometimes he didn't see much else.
Shaking her head at the disrespect, Anja looked back down at her reflection. She was the old Anjafey again, but she wasn't the tribe member she remembered. She was an unofficial outcast.
What was she supposed to do?

"Hey. Er...you're An...Anjafey, right?" Vitali called hesitantly, sticking close to the treeline by the woods. His dark fur stood out sharply against the snow on the ground, but bathed in the moonlight he looked like he could've been a shadow.
"I noticed your tattoo..." Tali trailed off, his voice bordering on meek. Vitora had taught respect for females the difficult way. "D'you happen to know which way it is to the Tribelands?"
He really, truly hoped she did; he had had a large ache in his chest ever since he had gotten separated from Mitora at the beginning of winter, and he needed to see her again, soon. 'Dieties above he missed her.
"I'm Vitali," he added, almost as an afterthought, shaking himself quickly from his thoughts. Darkness had been creeping upon him too much of late, and he needed to stop it if he had a hope in hell of ever finding his mate again.
"Or, if you don't know the way to the Tribelands, do you by any chance know where Mitora is?" He vaguely remembered something about some drama with the purple and blue fox in front of him, but he remembered that she was Carer, so she must've known Mitora growing up.
"Er...please?"
Thea padded up near silently to her Elder's left side, her white fur invisible save the painsplatter across her pelt.
"Ari," Thea murmured in her normal, soft voice. None of the relief she felt was portrayed; she did not need to worry Ari further, he did not need to hear about how hard the winter had been for her small band, nor did he need to hear about how Aara and herself...
Shaking that thought away with a small move of her head, Thea looked up at the great Fox next to her.
"Are you alright?" She asked quietly, concern evident about her features. "You do not look well," Thea observed, her dark eyes growing even darker. "Are you hungry?" she queried hesitantly. She had never been very good at dealing with other foxes; Thea preferred solitary to company...maybe that was why things with Aara had gone so south so quickly. The girl was young, loud and happy, and the two were perhaps to different to fall into the category of 'opposites attract'.
"The others are coming," Thea murmured under her breath, looking down shamefacedly. She hadn't meant to stare.

Rime paced back and forth in the snow, not seeming to notice the crunching that came from her feet. She felt like she owed someone something, like a friendly visit, but she couldn't quite place whom it was that she had intended to see. She couldn't gaze at the stars when her mind was in a state like this, as she would be too distracted by her feeling of anxiety.
She stopped, fixated on figuring out the name or face of that someone she had wanted to speak with, but she just couldn't remember. Exasperated, she flopped down into the snow and let out a sigh. She looked up at the sky as if asking it for help, but it bore no reply. She hadn't really expected it to, but she still felt a twinge of sadness over it.
She began to paw at the patch of snow directly in front of her, for no reason other than to busy herself. She sincerely wished she wasn't as forgetful as she was.

Anjafey's eyes shot to the tree at the sound of another's voice, and she had to resist the urge to eyeroll. It wasn't the male's fault, but she just wasn't in the mood for strangers searching for their mates. She'd screwed up badly enough to lose two after all.
Still, that had nothing to do with...Vitali, he said his name was. No reason to take out her regrets on the younger male. "You're on tribe lands," she told him with a low chuckle. "You have been for awhile."
She had no idea where Mitora is, but Anja figured someone else who had stuck close to the tribe center during the winte rmgiht know. "I don't know where your mate is, but I can lead you to foxes who might know. I'm afraid I wasn't around much during the winter."
Anjafey stood fluidly and stretched her shoulder muscles, expecting Vitali to follow her.
Aysu stalked through the trees, enjoying the crunch of snow under her feet. She loved winter in her tirbe, where the moon reflected off the white blanket on the ground and made everything so surreal. She hadn't seen her fathers or anyone in awhile, but she could go see them soon. Right now, Aysu just wanted to work off some energy and maybe get some food.
Content with this, Aysu walked at a fast pace until she smelled someone unfamiliar. Confused and curious, the purple and black female followed the sell until she found a vixen pawing at the snow. "Hello?" she said quietly, wondering who this was. "My name is Aysu. Are you lost?"

Rime was almost startled when the other vixen spoke, but she made no outward indication of this. "I... maybe," she replied, a little confusedly. "I was just trying to remember whom it was that I wanted to speak with, and where that someone might be, but it all escapes me at the moment." She shook her head and stood to face the other , then suddenly remembered her manners. "I'm Rime, by the way," she added, giving a slight bow and a smile with her introduction. "I'm relatively new to this area, and I can't say I'm too familiar with the lay of the land..." she trailed off.

Nato let out a long sigh as he sat at the entrance of his cave looking out at the tribe lands. He did not want to say it, but he felt like the tribe was breaking. Neither of his elders had made much of a presence this winter and Nato himself had spent most of his time in his cave, sulking. Many foxes had wondered away from the tribe, including his beloved mate, Amira, and his son, Anaru, leaving him with his only daughter, Mitora.
It hurt Nato greatly to know that his mate and son would probably not return to him. Due to his grief and pain, Nato feared he had been a little to hard on Mitora when he found out that she was sneaking around with some guy. He did not want his little girl to feel the pain he felt. But he knew somewhere in his mind that Mitora wasn't a kit anymore and it was time for her to choose her own path and that he could not hold her back from that.
Deciding to put the past behind him for now and to concentrate on the present, Nato stood and left his cave to find his elders and his daughter. Hopefully Mitora would understand and forgive him for being so hard on her. And hopefully Ari and Kazuki were ready to bring the tribe back together. Nato could only hope.
((This is assuming Vitali hasn't joined the tribe and babies aren't here yet. Correct me if I'm wrong lol Mitora coming soon after a few others post))

((Up to Jules if Vitali is official in the tribe yet or not. XD ))
Ari relaxed slightly when Thea caught his attention. At least one member of his tribe was still around, and that was something, at least...
"I'm..." he tried to lie, say he was fine, but he couldn't force himself to do so. Not after what had happened with Kazuki, and four of their children. He knew the Moon Fox knew best, watching over the whole world as she did, but she really could be a cruel 'deity, too. Calling his family away on some mission, not even letting him know anything about it because 'it was safer that way'.
"Good," he finally said, when Thea mentioned the others were coming. "We'll have to have a tribe meeting."
The sooner he could announce what had happened to Kazuki, the better. Just get it over with, and go back to hoping the purple fox would return soon.
"I'm not hungry," he replied automatically. And it was true, even though he hadn't eaten in days (and looked it, too)--worry filled his stomach so there was no room left for food.

((Yis, he is. XD))
Thea frowned slightly when he hesitated, eying him carefully. She knew /something/ was up, something to do with his family, most likely, as Thea hadn't seen Kazuki, Aysu or any of the others in far longer than she cared to remember, and she knew whatever worry she felt for them was at least quadrupled for poor Ari -- they were his family.
Speaking of family, Thea looked up at him, then said very quietly, "I don't think..." Thea cleared her throat softly, then continued, "Ari, I do not believe that Aara will be coming back to the Tribe. I...I could be wrong, as we...have not been in contact..."
Thea trailed off, looking down ashamedly; she knew that last Ari knew, the two had been close, and that he might wonder what had happened, and that was one of the worst things: Thea was more worried about her Elder being disappointed in her than actually loosing Aara.
...Well, that was a lie. Aara being gone had left a hole, that much was undeniable, but what was worse was Aara had been the only fox outside her family that Thea had been close to, and now that she was gone...Thea wasn't quite sure she saw the point of getting close to anyone else if this is what it felt like afterwards.
Realizing she had been silent for more than a little while, Thea looked back up at Ari and smiled a bit sheepishly.
"Sorry," Thea apologized quietly. "A Tribe meeting is a good course of action. See whom is still with us, who has gone on a solitary path."
Thea sighed quietly. She had a terrible feeling that there wouldn't be nearly as many foxes as there used to be.

Ari nodded, letting Thea say as much or as little about Ara as she need to. He knew the loss she must be feeling--he was feeling the same thing himself, with Kazuki and half their family gone.
Ari picked his next words carefully, not wanting to upset Thea further: "When you love someone, you need to let them go and find happiness in their own place. Unfortunately, it seems as though Aara found happiness elsewhere than in this tribe."
Ari wasn't surprised, really--Aara's energy reminded him too much of his daughter Sigal, who had chosen not to join the tribe, as she too had had too much energy to be happy with such calm foxes as themselves.
Perhaps that was what happened with Kin'iro and Yudoku as well, Ari mused. They had been calmer than Sigal and Aara, but they too had quite a lot of energy to be Lunarie foxes.
He shook his head, causing beads to quietly clank against his collar. He did not want to think of the missing foxes. Besides, he had at least found Thea--others had to be around, somewhere.
And once they had all gathered...then he could explain about Kazuki, and their children.
At least he had the hope that his mate would soon return. That should be something. He should take comfort in that...but he simply couldn't.
Instead, he began to lead Thea in the direction of the caves, in the hope that more foxes would be taking shelter in the relative warmth, or at the lake by the caves, drinking, or maybe even fishing, if the ice was thin enough.
"Let's gather the rest of the tribe."

"Oh no, you can't remember?" AYsu said with a shake of her head. How sad to not remember something so simple. Well, Aysu would handle it. She a daughter of the Elders, even if one of them had disappeared, and she had an obligation to help any foxes on the territory in her parents stead.
"My name is Aysu," she told Rime with an easy smile. "My fathers are the tribe Elders, if you would like to see one and ask for help. I can take you to our meeting place! Ypu'll be safe and well fed there, that make sit much easier to find answers."
Anjafey did not not wait for Vitali's repsonse. She lead him through the tribe territory with self-confidence, knowing her way here by heart. She eventually made it close to the tribe center, and decided it was not yet time to face Ari herself; she smelled Nato nearby.
"Vitali, when you pass through these trees, you wil lfind where our tribe usually gathers," she told him quietly. "I'm sure you'll find Mitora's scent there, and just follow it to find her." The purple and blue female nodded to the stranger, then headed for the familair scent of Nato, a fox who she had known practically since she was born.
When he wa sin sight, Anja nodded in greeting. "Hello, Nato," she greeted softly, able to see the defeated quality in him that she felt hin herself. Anj had learned that Amira was no longer around, and she felt for her friend; it hurt to lose the love in your life. "I am glad to see you're alright. It's been hard to keep tally of who safely made it through this winter."

"That... sounds like a plan," Rime said. "Meeting the rest of the tribe would be nice..." Her sentence trailed off again, but she didn't mind it so much this time. She felt rather lucky, being found by daughter of the tribe's Elders. Her curiosity took hold then, as she thought about who else would be there. Maybe the one she was looking for, whatever his name was.
