((It was sorry for not making it clear ^.^; ))

Piko jumped back and onto his hind legs. He was not used to others talking, except for family of course. He was also taken aback by her eyes. They glowed very strangely. He then noticed that she spoke of his tribe, well his fathers tribe. He nodded in response to her question and opened his mouth to speak but stopped. He still wasn't sure if she was a friend. Familiar or not he did not know her well.

"I could show you the way but I need to know if you are foe or not. I don't know you at all. I am the son of the Elders of Lunarie Tribe and thusly a member. " He said all this proud and confident. Sure, his fathers were having trouble among themselves but they still were Elders and Piko was still very proud of them and the tribe.

Kazuki caught up to his mate and cringed. Deer. Yes, he wanted to have a nice big deer. It looked good, really good at this point, but there was no way he would catch one. At least not with one of his paws out of commission. He sighed sitting down and glanced at his sprained paw.

"Ari I don't think we take one down. That is to say I can't. This paw is able to withstand my own weight." He motioned the paw in question and sighed once more glancing out at the herd. He might of been able to surprise one if it got close enough and if he pounced just right. Though it would still be risky. Looking again at his mate Kazuki shook his head.

"Lets just get something small. I rather not have you do all the work." He tried to give Ari a bright smile but his stomach only made it become a frown. Kazuki then attempted to fix his fur again. It was still a bit messy from earlier.

Oh, yeah, the ankle. It was stupid of him to have forgotten about that already.

Ari shook his head in response to Kazuki's statement. "I want to at least try. If this doesn't work out, then we can go try to find something smaller." It wouldn't be as easy with just the two of them, but he was a grown modi, and so he could hunt alone, if he had to.

It was simply that his chances of success were a lot lower on his own, and so he would have to be careful in order to succeed. Especially now, in winter, with the lack of cover.

He crept as close to the deer as he could, using what evergreen bushes there were around, but he couldn't get as close as he liked. Well, it was this or nothing, he supposed.

He waited behind the bush, upwind of the deer, for a few minutes, in hopes that one would wander just a little bit closer to him. And, eventually, yes, there came one, not the fattest deer he had ever seen, but it was still better than many of the others.

He leaped from the bush, knowing that as soon as the other deer heard him move, they would scatter, but he didn't care about them: his whole focus was on the one in front of him. He didn't catch it in his leap (he hadn't expected to), but within a few short paces, he managed to tackle it, and then he struggled to get a grip on its throat. Eventually, he succeeded in killing it.

It had taken some while, but he was sure it was easier than trying to find enough smaller game to satisfy the two of them.

"You go ahead and eat first," Ari said, gesturing to the deer. He could afford to skip a meal here or there. Kazuki was in much more need of the food than he was.

His surprise made her chuckle and she shifted her weight to her hinds, eying him for a moment before noticing the tribal marking that were natural to those belonging to the group she sought. His words actually intrigued him somewhat, he was a child of Kazuki and Ari? How quaint, and how fortunate.

"If I am a foe? Child, were I foe and you, a male out here on your own... Do you think this conversation would be occurring? No, I am no foe. You bear your markings well, as you shower your tribe with pride from the way you just spoke those words."

She stepped closer to him, her tail swaying behind her ever so slightly, and she stopped within a foot of him before speaking again.

"I would very much like it if you were to show me the way. I need to speak with your Elders at some length.... and find my beloved."

Kazuki watched his mate catch and kill the deer. He was surprised Ari could do it. Then he felt bad for thinking that. He looked away ears hanging as he curled his tail around him. It wasn't until Aria got close that he looked over. He blinked surprised and shook his head.

"No, you can go ahead...-"Kazuki stopped when he noticed the look Ari gave him. He had never really seen Ari mad before but the look told him he better eat. He smiled nervously and nodded.

"Alright..I.." His stomach groaned which made him pause for a moment. "..I get it from both you and my stomach." Kazuki then moved forward and leaning down started to bite into the carcass before him. He couldn't even remember how long its been since he had flesh. Usually any meat he had he had caught was given to his kids. Then he would just pick at the bones. Though both Piko and Yuchia had to be forced to eat. Without realizing it Kazuki had picked up momentum and was tearing into the deer. It was only when he stopped to lick his lips that he realized what he had done. His muzzle was coated red with blood and a good amount of the deer had been ingested by Kazuki. The purple elder looked away slightly ashamed.

"I apologize for my eating manners...." A small burped escaped his lips. He tensed and blushed a heavy shade of red.

"Excuse me..." He said in a very small voice.

Piko tensed and backed away a bit when the vixen approached. Though he relaxed somewhat at her words. He wasn't fully sure about her. She was definitely strange in his eyes. Though he wondered if she was teasing him about his pride a bit.

"Yes well I am sure you will get the chance to speak with both of my fathers, once they return. They are attending to personal matters at the moment." Piko's tail flicked slightly. She mentioned a beloved. Was that beloved a member of the tribe? Had to be..why else would she want to speak with his fathers as well.

"Well I had just come from the main area so it should not be hard to take you there. I am sure your beloved will be there." Piko smiled at the vixen and and started to turn and head back towards the mountain.

"Oh!" He stopped and turned to face her. "I never told you my name. Its Piko. " He felt a tad shy about revealing his name. He wasn't used to talking to people at all much, but he did admit it was nice to speak to someone else besides family.

Her eyes dimmed and her ears drooped immediately when he said that he was sure his beloved would be there. He had no idea who she was, let alone who her lover was. Both his fathers, that just reminded her again that he was one of Ari and Kazukis children, and anything she said that offended him in any form would count against her right now. As if she didn't have enough to worry about. Fortunately her sisters diplomatic skills had rubbed off on her a bit, and she was in a fairly docile mood compared to normal.

"Piko? What a cute name... I'm Ollure. Piko, I wouldn't be so sure my beloved is still there, but your optimism is reassuring at least on some level..."

She lowered her head for a brief moment before raising it again to peer at him once more.

"Lead on please."

Nato was nodding along with what the other shaman was saying. Even if it didn't work, it was worth a try. And if it did work, well that would be wonderful and would save them from digging through this snow. He padded over to Kin'iro when she called him and observed what she had found.

"Looks like they have just enough life to do us a bit of good. Nice work." Good, now he didn't feel so bad about going back to the tribe. Now at least they had something.

Hearing her name being called, Mitora turned her head just in time to see Vitali's excited expression before he tackled her. She laughed at his almost child like behavior and giggled as they nuzzled noses.

"You did find me! I knew you would!" She laughed again before licking his cheek. "I missed you a whoooole lot! More than this much even!" She stretched her paws above her head and straightend her tail, extending herself as much as she could to show how much she had missed the wonderful black male.

"We may need to stop to let you bathe as well," Ari said with a completely straight face. Only a moment later did a corner of his mouth begin to quirk upwards.

"Your manners are excused." He had known that Kazuki was famished, but seeing the way his mate attacked the carcass was just something else. Hopefully there would be no ill effects on Kazuki from going from eating so little to suddenly having such a feast.

Ari promised himself he would keep a close eye on his mate to make sure that in the unfortunate case something happened, he would be able to attend to it quickly.

Ari ate only a few bites of the deer, not being that hungry himself. Instead, he noted the location of it, and decided they could bring the tribe members here for a bit of meat after the meeting. It definitely would not be enough to fill everyone, but there was enough left that everyone could at least have a little extra sustenance.

"Let's get you to the river quickly, and then we'll go and finally meet up with the rest of the tribe." Ari began to lead the way, although he made sure to keep to a slow pace, for the sake of Kazuki's presumably sprained ankle. One of the shamans could look at that when they got back to the tribe as well.

Piko nodded and lead the way. Though he noted she seem to treat him different then most. At least that was what he felt. Could it have been that she was behaving this way because of who he came from. He thought it would be best to let her know it was alright.

"You know you don't have to treat me special. I am just another fox like you." He looked back at her and smiled. Ollure didn't need to treat him different. He was just a fox with fathers for elders. Sure, he was proud of them but he wasn't royalty.

"Your name is very beautiful. Its different. At least from the few names I've heard." He said with a slight chuckle. He didn't know many people, but he did listen and observe plenty of them. It wasn't too long before the mountain was again in view. Piko looked around wondering if anyone else was there. Hopefully Ollure's beloved.

Kazuki blushed a bit and attempted like his muzzle clean. He slowly followed behind his mate as they reached upon the river. It was funny, it was the water that had brought them together. It had been when Ari was bathing. This brought a smile onto Kazuki's face.

"I guess I better get this over with..." He took a step into the water. His face scrunched up. The water was icy cold. A tremor ran though his body. He looked back at Ari as if to say: 'did he have to?' He gritted his teeth and went further. There was no way he would stay for long. The water was like ice. As quickly as he could he went further until he could dip his body under the water. Then as fast as he could he bolted out. He stopped just a he reached dry land, and he gave one good shake. Water flew all over before the purple Elder ran, as best he could, to the warmest thing near by, Ari. He huddled close to the other shivering. Even his teeth were chattering.

"D-D-Darn y-y-y-you..f-for mak-k-king ..me-e-e tak-k-ke...a b-b-bath!" Kazuki stammered against his mates fur.

Ari wrapped his tail around Kazuki, trying to help warm his mate as best he could. It definitely was not pleasant, having to bathe in the freezing cold streams of this season.

"Is that any better?" Ari asked, rubbing Kazuki with his tail, trying to warm him up. "You look much better, by the way," he whispered in his mate's ear.

She smiled as he spoke and nodded, understanding his words but knowing otherwise. Children of those in power, whether they thought they got special treatment or not, were a delicate matter. Especially for one who was most likely already in trouble.

"I understand Piko, I just find my circumstances a little different from most. Please understand the way I treat you is because at this point I do it mostly from necessity. If things go well, perhaps in the future I will be able to be a tad less formal with you."

As they came into view of the tribes current resting area she paused for a moment and scanned the foxes she could see at this distance, even if she couldn't really make out who anyone was. She did not recognize Anjafeys colors from here however, and that made her heart sink a bit more.

Kazuki turned bright red and looked away. His mate knew how to make him blush. He squirmed against his mate completely embarrassed. He was glad that Ari was using his tail to help keep Kazuki warm. Kazuki fidgeted as he went about fixing his fur. He would shiver on occasion due to the cold. When he was done he shook out his fur a bit. He wasn't as wet and thus did not send out any water. He looked at Ari.

"Well what do you think?" He moved away to give Ari a better view. They had to go back to the tribe soon. After all they couldn't waste time, not that it was a waste. He enjoyed his moments with Ari. Which seemed so few, around the time he left. Now he was back and again they were few and short.

Piko looked at Ollure and smiled. He did hope that she would treat him as a normal fox. He never was fond of special treatment. Though he watched as she seemed to look down. He figured it was because her beloved was not around.

"Don't give up yet. I am sure beloved is in the lands somewhere. After all they couldn't have just disappeared." He said trying to lighten the mood. He walked forward a bit.

"Come let us look for her. Unless you rather wait for my fathers? I am sure they will be here soon...I think" Piko looked off towards where his assumed his fathers still were. He hoped they were ok. It had been a long while since he had seen them. He hoped they had patched things well enough to run the tribe and their family with no problems or fights.

Ari took a moment to adjust Kazuki's fur in hard to reach places, such as on his neck, before stepping back to survey his mate.

"You look fine. Now, let's get back to the rest of the tribe."

He did enjoy his time alone with Kazuki, but a part of him felt bad for making the tribe wait for so long. He wished that part would go away, and stop nagging at him, but he knew it would take a long while before that happened. That part of him was the part that was an elder first, above all, the part that had been created when Kazuki and their children had left for whatever their reasons.

Shortly, they were back to the main tribe grounds. He could see the foxes from earlier, his son Piko, and another female, who seemed somewhat familiar, although he couldn't quite place her.

"Now, who needs to speak to us?" he asked all of the foxes gathered there.

Rime had been following along absently as she was being led around by one of the tribe members. She stopped when she heard Ari's question and looked at him, wondering if there was anything that she'd like to speak to him about. She couldn't quite think of anything though. She walked toward him a little hesitantly, completely unsure of what to say.

"Seems like everyone here is one large family." she mused, not really paying enough attention to stop herself from saying what was on her mind. She smiled sweetly anyway.

She was only able to stand frozen after nodding to Pikos attempts to reassure her, the fact that Ari and Kazuki had chosen that moment to walk up made her heart nearly stop and her blood run cold. She wasn't entirely prepared for what awaited her and she prayed that someone would step forward to answer the question the Elders posed the group of foxes.

When no one responded however, she turned her gaze to Piko and bowed briefly to him before stepping forward towards the two Elders, lump building in her throat as she fought off emotional pain like nothing she had ever felt before. The conversation hadn't even started yet, and she was suffering and in some form terrified. Her head lowered and her mouth moved slowly as she spoke in very quiet tones. Fortunately, she knew the Elders had good ears.

"Ah... Elder Ari, Elder Kazuki... I don't know if you remember me but I am... My name is Ollure, and I needed to talk to you once more about joining your tribe... And of... of.."

She trailed off as she bit back tears that threatened to well in her eyes and she looked up at Kazuki, Kazuki who had once been supportive of her and Anjafeys feelings for one another.

"Of Anjafey..."

During a lull in the conversation, Thea stood and began in her quiet, soft way, "I...I suppose I should talk to you at some point or another...It can wait, though. I'm sure there are more pressing matters at hand," She sent a sideways glance at Aara to let her know that they might be waiting a while to speak to her Elders.

Sitting back down, Thea wrapped her tail more snugly around the other females and murmured under her breath. "Patience is a virtue, my lovely,"

Tali grinned and nuzzled her back, making himself more comfortable against her.

"I said I would, didn't I? And I missed you soooooo much more I can't even say it! I wouldn't be able to stop talking, not ever, 'cause it's so big," He said, smile unmovable on his face. Before he could say more, however, two very very very big foxes came up and, although he had never seen males of this kind before, Vitali knew they must be the Elders of 'Tora's tribe. So, he quickly stood and shook himself off, then moved to a sitting position with his tail wrapped around his feet for warmth. It was probably not the best impression to be making on them...

He grinned down at Tora again and nudged her lightly, a teasing grin on his face as he muttered, "Gotcha 'gain,"
