And then there was the matter of that mysterious photo that he'd been clutching earlier. She would have bet her life on the fact that he didn't want her knowing, much less anyone else, about that pretty girl in the picture.
Hikari trembled slightly and shook her head vehemently. "No... nevermind! It's really not that important!" She abruptly stood and turned away. "Good night Miko, Gannon! Sorry to have troubled you both!" She smiled brightly; a little too enthusiastic for the Hikari that they had come to know. She quickly left the scene. The Reyvateil headed for the hallway which led to the door which ultimately led outside. She glanced at the control panel of the door and realized that she recognized some of the symbols on the override panel. Hymmnos... She sighed. She knew that the others wouldn't let get get far but she thought maybe a little fresh air would help her drop some of the raw emotions she felt, and help her forget the questions that she was too afraid to ask. It was a mistake to let them in, she thought to herself, tears clouding her vision. What do I do to fix that? How do I shut them out? "Ma num wa exec enter yos sphilar, en aulla ciel mea. [Feeling nothing, I execute and enter into your mind and reveal my world.]" The door opened without a key and Hikari stepped outside before pressing the button to once again shut the door. She knew that one of them would probably come dragging her inside in a minute or two but she didn't care.
It was still raining, though it let up slightly. She took a step and stared down when her foot sank in some mud where a pond was. She lifted her foot and stepped again, mesmerized by the movement of the water in the puddle. Hikari reached down and touched the mud, amazed at the feel.
The Reyvateil dropped to her knees, pressing her hand into the mud and gazing in wonderment at her handprint being left behind. This is familiar somehow! She realized. She wondered if she hadn't done this very same thing many years ago. She had vague memories of rolling around in the mud, laughing and playing, but someone was with her. Who was it, though? She sighed. Still so many blanks. When were the truths going to reveal themselves and give her some answers? The blonde Reyvateil sat there, absent-mindedly tracing figures in the mud.My Song is a Shining Light

Miko watched the exchange quietly until Gannon blew it and the Reyvateil bolted off. "And there she goes..." She shook her head and sighed. "You don't have much experience with Reyvateils, do you?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. "No... scratch that. You have no experience with women, period, do you?"

The elder twin then noticed something about her cards. The Ace and one of the Queens were both Spades. Whether it was just a crazy whim or she was too drunk to care she didn't know, but she threw her three other cards away and had three dealt to her. She flipped her cards over to look at them and almost cracked up laughing but stopped. Damn, the one time I'm not playin' fer money this happens. Go figure. The three cards she picked up just so happened to be all Spades. One 10, one King and Jack to be exact. "So, what's your next move?" Mana asked the full-blooded Teru, itching to share hers.

Ina Seeing as how the other Teru reacted when she got the three cards made Ina think that she got a good hand. She put her cards face up as she said. "Two of a kind." Ina got a glimpse of the blond Reyvateil leaving the place. I guess things didn't go well with the two, oh well not my problem. Must focus on avenging my brethren and nothing more.Blitz woke up to see the Reyvateil leave outside where it was raining. She let out a yawn and decided to go outside to get soaked. Blitz saw the blond playing in the mud and thought she would be nice enough like the mint hair color Reyvateil and let her play with her. Blitz went around the girl, facing her and let out a small wail as she points to the figures in the mud.

Gannon…
Gannon was caught off guard by how fast the Reyvateil left. He was about to follow her when he heard Miko's remark. "No, I've spent the last decade of my life being hunted down like a dog!" The Teru got up and started for the door until he heard Hikari unlock the door and leave. He let out a sign. It could have been the constant battles lately or being in his old home, that had caused the memory of being on the run for so long to come forward in his mind. Either way, he had no right to take it out on Miko.
He turned toward the half-blooded Teru with an apologetic look on his face. "Look, I'm sorry... I shouldn't have snapped. You're right. I... Let's just say it's been a while since I've had any good experience. I know you're probably still mad at me from before. And this sure isn't helping things..." He glanced toward the door where the Reyvateil had gone. "I'm going to go check on her. I'll be back." He wasn't very good with apologies, and he knew an even bigger one was coming up.
The Teru headed down the hallway that Hikari had a few moments before and exited the building.
The rain had died down quite a bit, but everything was still soaked. There were puddles of mud everywhere around. And not too far away, Gannon could see the Reyvateil kneeling in one. At first, he was afraid that she was hurt, but from the expression on her face, that wasn't the case. He waited a few more moments before slowly walking up to her. "Was zweie ra aterra fogabe." [I sincerely beg your forgiveness.]

Hikari blinked. Gannon had just apologized to her... in Hymmnos? She was at a loss for words. She honestly didn't understand why he would bother to apologize to someone as undeserving as her, but she felt touched at the same time. It took her a few moments to find the right words. "Presia, wee num gagis na firle guatrz rre yor. [Please, I don't feel resentment towards you.]" She looked up at him as she spoke, then realized what a pitiful sight she must have been on the ground, so she picked herself up and brushed the mud off, facing away from the Teru. "It's my fault, so you don't need to apologize to me. I should be the one apologizing to you." Hikari couldn't bring herself to explain that she'd been prying and took a peek at the picture from earlier, so she just dropped that line of thought for the moment and changed the subject. "This seems familiar to me somehow." She held a hand out, catching the falling water in her palm. "It couldn't be true, though. I've been trapped inside the labs for as long as I can remember." She turned back to Gannon. "I wonder if I'm starting to remember things because you were diving... I had to ask you about that later, too..." She blushed slightly.
The Reyvateil's attention focussed on Blitz once again and she petted him absentmindedly. He seemed so playful that a reluctant smile appeared on her lips. "So, you do want to play, huh little fella?" She stepped forward and stomped in the puddle just in front of them, soaking both the Teru and Familiar with her in the process. She noticed that she had gotten some of the mud on Gannon. "I'm sorry about that... I don't know what's come over me. It just looked like so much fun."My Song is a Shining Light

Miko sighed. "Don't worry about it. I'm used to it, I guess..." She trailed off when she saw that Gannon was no longer there. "I'm just going to go to sleep. It's getting really late. Both of you should think about getting some rest too," she called over to the two playing cards at the table before laying down beside Nel in an attempt to fall asleep.

The Teru smiled a bit It was nice to see Hikari enjoying herself, even if it was only for a moment. He glanced down at the mud and shrugged. "Don't worry about it. Watch." He shook his jacket and the mud dripped off, not even leaving a mark. "Ya'd have ta work a lot harder than that to get this thing dirty." He took a few steps closer to the Reyvateil, ignoring the Familiar for the moment. "I was wondering if the dive did anything helpful for you. I guess we might have our answer. Who knows? Maybe it has started bringing back memories from before. It would explain a few things... I'm guessing you want to know more about the dive?"

"Best hand I'll ever get," Mana said, setting her cards down and stretching. Doubt I'll ever be that lucky again. She yawned. "Getting late." A quick glance around told her that not only was the Gannon missing but so was Hikari. Hmm... off on a date, eh? Ugh that Casanova! She stared over at the other Teru. "Well, I'm about ready to hit the hay, how about you?"

Hikari chewed on her bottom lip, unsure of what else to say or even if there was anything she could say. She pulled the stuffed Pepen out from her pack and hugged it for reassurance. It was wet and maybe a little smudged from the mud but Hikari didn't mind. "Where should we go? It's... kinda private, I guess?" That and everything was complicated right now. "Hmm..." Gannon thought for a moment, remembering back to the dive. An idea came to him. "Don't move. 'Kay?" He closed his eyes and concentrated on his magic. Soon ice began to form on the ground, growing into blocks and then walls. Soon, an igloo had formed over the top of them. Inside, several life size statues of Pepen stood around in various poses. Gannon slowly opened his eyes. not surprised by how exhausted he was. "Is this private enough?"

When the Song finished, she stood quietly for a few moments, wondering how to start and where. She blushed slightly. "Umm, something's been bothering me... I kinda noticed something since we last dived and, um, how do I put this? Do you have a thing for school girls or something?" Gannon waited as Hikari looked around his creation, letting her take her time. He was about to speak when Hikari finally asked her question. He wasn't sure he heard her right. "Wait, what...? Do I have a...?" He thought for a second. Luckly, he'd had enough experience with dives to have some clue about what she was talking about. "Maybe you should tell me what happened."

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ How was Hikari supposed to answer? It took a few moments for her to gather her courage to continue and for her to figure out how she was going to continue. "Um, how do I...? Well, I guess, here goes nothing. Hiyaaah!" A bright light flashed around the Reyvateil and when it dimmed she stood before him, clothes completely different from what she had been wearing before.
"This... I mean, what is this?" She asked, still blushing and looking down to examine her clothing. She was now dressed in something of a sailor girl's school uniform, complete with pigtails and glasses. She adjusted the lenses on her face and took on a pouty expression, looking expectantly at the Teru for an explanation.My Song is a Shining Light

The Teru took a few moments to answer, nodding slightly as if he wasn't surprised in the least. "This actually makes sense. Level Two in your Cosmosphere dealt with you being in a school environment. I guess it's only fitting that you got that." He saw that the Reyvateil was still looking for more of an explanation than that. "How do I put this... Some times after finishing a level of your cosmosphere, you'll get a physical manifestation like this. I'm not sure exactly what causes it, but I do know it has an impact on your magic. Have you tried to sing since you found...this?" He gestured to her new outfit.
