Nel lay back as she still listened attentively to the Myth. Something about it seemed very familiar, as if she'd heard it herself many times before... "It was a little girl child, wasn't it?" She asked. For some reason, she knew that the child was a girl, though Nel had no idea how she knew.

Miko~
Though having been interrupted with her story, Miko wasn't upset. Instead, her eyes were almost shining with excitement. It had been a long time since someone had taken an active interest in a Myth she was telling. The half-Teru nodded. "Yes, it was a little girl and she was named Osanna." She paused before continuing, only now realizing that the others were taking a mild interest in the tale she was telling. She blushed slightly, not used to having such a big audience. "U-um, anyway, where was I? Oh, yes, Osanna. Because she was a child of both Life and Death and her blood was mixed, it meant that the powers of life and death battled within her, and her life would not be eternal. She had been born only to die, it seemed." Miko became lost in her own thoughts for a moment, trying to recall how to tell the rest of the story. "Because of her mixed blood, she could not set foot upon her mother's place in the heavens, and to go with her father she would die immediately. And so, she had no choice but to reside on Ar Ciel, the place where the war between Life and Death was taking place. But, it seemed that she was not alone, because in the many years that the war was being fought between the deities of Life and Death, Light and Darkness, there had been many other children with mixed blood who had also been banished to Ar Ciel. Once Life and Death discovered the other children along with their own child and realized the love they held for each other, the fighting ceased, but because of the relentless battles, the lands of Ar Ciel had been completely torn up. Because the children with mixed blood could only reside on Ar Ciel, it was then decided that the Goddess and deities of Life would watch over them from the heavens, and once their lives had ended, the God of Death and his companions would protect their children in the afterlife. However, the land as it was was uninhabitable, and the children suffered but Life and Death could do nothing more to help them. And so, Osanna sacrificed herself to become a powerful prayer, combining her life with the wishes and hopes of all the other children so that they would be saved. When she sacrificed her life, instead of going to her father, she became a part of the first colony of mortal children on Ar Ciel. And she continues to live on in all of us." Miko smiled softly. "And so, according to that Legend, we are all the same."

Mana listened to her sister, smirking when she got flustered. "Aw, come on, Sis, it's just us. Relax, we're not gonna throw tomatoes at ya or nothin'." When Miko finished, she laid her own cards down. Her two Jacks and two Aces, then the 2. "Meh. There ya go, Gannon."

Gannon…
The Teru took a look at the half-breed's cards and groaned. She had two pair, too, but with higher cards. "Well, unless she's got two pair beat, ya take this one, Mana." It didn't matter. The night was still young and there were plenty more hands to be played.

Ina Ina look at both Teru's cards and smile a bit as she reveal her cards, which were 3 10s, a queen and a two. "Three of a kind." She said before paying attention to the story that the younger Teru twin was telling. Ina notice Blitz paying attention more attention to the story and smile a bit as she then concentrated on the storm to make it as realistic as possible. "So, Gannon. I want to know when can I stop the storm, or should I let it last for a day or more." Ina said this in a monotone and did not even look at the Teru in the face since she was closing her eye to help her concentrate.

 I am the Light of this World
The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ It had been some time that she had spent lost within the dark, void and detached space in her mind. She felt as though she had just been floating in a sea of nothingness ever since she had lost consciousness. It was all Hikari could ever hope for; to simply not feel anything. No pain, no fear, nor hatred or anger. Of course, she would never be able to feel happiness or love, either. But to Hikari those feelings were as foreign to her as the strangers whom she kept company with.
Feeling completely numb and blank were about as good as Hikari figured she would ever feel. And so when her mind crawled back to the world of the living once again and she was able to feel, the girl couldn't help but curse whatever it was that had brought her back to this living hell."...Osanna sacrificed herself to become a powerful prayer, combining her life with the wishes and hopes of all the other children so that they would be saved."Hikari could vaguely hear Miko's story about a Legend of the first half-lings that inhabited Ar Ciel, and wondered if that was what had awakened her from her dreamless slumber. She sat up, instantly regretting it when a pounding invaded her head along with her jumbled thoughts. She groaned softly and leaned up against the door, contemplating her next move. She could hear the others out there as well as the younger of the half-breed twins.
She listened to the rest of Miko's story and bit her lip. Could she really go back out there? She was quite certain that Gannon must despise her by now. After all, he had lost someone precious to him simply because Hikari had come into existence. Gannon had, in her mind, already hinted at his annoyance with her when he had threatened to knock her unconscious before. And Aaron... he'd never really cared about her at all. He had just been trying to further his own ambitions, whatever they had been.
However, the male Teru and human had returned, possibly with news of Rhaplanca. Her worry for her one and only Reyvateil friend (possibly only friend at all) had overridden the feelings of unease about them two that she had begun to experience. She steeled herself and forced her own emotions as far down as she could, putting a neutral mask up as her expression.
With trembling hands she reached for the lock on the door and as quietly as she could unlocked it, creaking the door open and peering out into the room.
Pausing only a moment she took a brave step out and found herself beside the ones whom she'd found to be least threatening, Miko and Nel. Hikari found it ironic that she had been terrified of the younger twin at first, but upon spending a bit more time with her those fears were quickly quelled. Just hearing her soft, sweet voice as she recited that story to Nel was enough to draw Hikari to Miko on instinct, as a child would be drawn to their mother.
The Reyvateil said nothing but sat closely beside Miko, secretly yearning for the girl's comfort and protection.My Song is a Shining Light

Miko~
Having finished the tale, Miko leaned forward with a blanket to tuck Nel in. "You should probably get some sleep, now. I'm certain that everyone will be going to bed to get a few hours shuteye." She also had her mind occupied with how she was going to take care of the other distressed Reyvateil.
However, the problem seemed to solve itself when said Reyvateil crept out of the room she had holed herself up in and meekly settled herself right beside Miko. What in the world? Miko at first thought she was hallucinating. After all, Hikari and she had gotten off to a really rough start. When she managed to convince herself that it wasn't an illusion, it took her a moment to get over her confusion. Maybe I shouldn't question it, after all I was looking after these two to make sure they are all right." That decided, she gave the blonde an encouraging smile. "So you decided to come out on your own after all, hmm? I'm so glad. I've been worried about you."

Once the other Reyvateil came out of hiding, Nel smiled brightly and agreed to lay back. "I wasn't going to sleep without knowing that you were okay, Miss Hikari. I'm really glad!" Nel yawned. "But I have to admit I am kind of sleepy still." Her eyes drooped. "I tried to sing you a Hymn before Hikari, but I'm sorry because it failed again. It's a Song that I can't ever seem to finish, because it makes me so tired... I think I'm going to have to sleep now..." She had barely finished the sentence before snoring slightly.

"Dammit!" Mana shot up and slammed her palms down on the table. "Rematch, I say! REMATCH!" She glared daggers at the one-eyed Teru in front of her. "It's do 'er die this time!" Mana didn't normally take to losing very well, but when she was drunk her competitve streak became an obsession. She had been so wrapped up in the game and being furious at losing that she didn't pay attention to Hikari's presence as she had quietly entered the room to sit beside her twin.

Gannon…
As soon as he heard the click of the lock, the Teru turned his attention to the Reyvateil rejoining the group. From the look on her face, he decided it was best to let Miko handle comforting her. He reached for the cards, getting ready to deal a second hand. Not that I could do anything for her anyways... He paused. Actually... He reached into his jacket and felt the stuffed toy. Thanks to the element proofing, it was still clean and dry. Before he could give it back, the half-breed decided now would be a good time for an outburst. "Ugh... Alright. I'll deal another hand...But only if ya shut up."

Ina Ina chuckle a bit when the male Teru told the other Teru to shut up. "Bring it on." Before she said that, the blond Reyvateil came from her hiding place. When she did, Ina took a quick glance at her. What is so special about you, that you have these much people protecting you. What did you to deserve to be protected, I want to know, and I will know soon enough Sh was touching the scar of her missing eye when she thought of that.

Nereus With his eyes close, Nereus focus to clear his thoughts and make the story that Miko was telling. He realize, that once the story was over, that the high-pitch sound stopped ringing in his head. Then, during the end of the story, Hikari came from a door. He gave a small sigh of relief, until Mana shouted that she wanted a rematch. Must be getting drunk already. Nereus look at the corner of the ceiling that he entered while ignoring every noise around him and listen to the rain. After awhile he was having a hard time on focusing on that ceiling and before he knew it, he fell to the side and was sound asleep.

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ "You didn't have to be," Hikari started softly, her voice about that of a whisper. She hesitated before speaking again, this time her voice was louder. "I actually had hoped that someone could tell me... where is Rhaplanca? Is she all right?" Her gaze focussed on Miko in front of her, before darting around to everyone else in the room who was still awake.My Song is a Shining Light

Miko sighed. "I honestly don't know." She nodded to Aaron who was asleep across the room and Gannon who was still playing poker with her agitated sister in the middle of the room. "Both of those guys are the ones who know the most. You'll have to ask one of them."

The Beacon of Hope for Everyone~ Hikari ~ A small frown appeared on her lips as the Reyvateil mulled those things over in her mind. It looked the like two people she most feared to face were the very same ones she would have to talk to in order to find out what happened. Finally, she nodded slightly. She wasn't certain that she wanted to speak with Aaron, and with Gannon she felt that she would have to be guarded at the very least. There are still other things I need to talk to Gannon about though, she realized, whether she was ready to talk to him or not. "I suppose I'll have to wait until they aren't busy then," she murmured in response to Miko before settling down and leaning against the wall.My Song is a Shining Light
