Batsu rolled his eyes as he turned to the next page. It was like reading a book he read before... since he already knew that. Yet and still he continued to read to himself.

'' A ninja must be able to spring into action at ant given moment. he or she must be willing to put their life on the line for the cause. Though, not all missions are life threatening. Missions are seperated by ranks s-ranks are the toughest and most dangerous. Missions of this caliber may result in death, but can make a ninja who survives heroic in a since. such tasks include capturing or murder of tough criminal."

Batsu's eyes shot open at the thought and was a bit concerned. At the same time, he was anxious to do such a task, in time of course.

Batsu continued to read.

A-ranked missions are less of a threat to one's life, but are fairly dangerous. this rank along with S-rank missions are given mainly to ninja who are ranked jounin or higher.

Examples of A-ranked missions include body guarding people of extreme importance."

Batsu was getting the concept of a mission, but was failing to understand how important the preceding missions were. Maybe it was due to the fact that he was still a student and they were for high-ranked ninja. One thing he realized.... he had a LONG road ahead of him.

He kept reading.

"B-ranked missions are of a lesser importance and are less hazardous. an example of which may be spying on a foe or body guarding one who is of lower status.

By now, Batsu was becoming annoyed at how he was not following along at the pace that he desired. However, this did not stop him and he read further into the book.

"C-ranked missions are given to chuunin and sometimes to genin. Thee missions are of fairly low importance and are of next to no threat to one's life. Examples of which are escorting a little-known person from one village to the next."

Batsu looked up from the book and glanced at a vacant spot of the wall a few feet in front of him. He then whispered, "More my speed..."

Batsu started to catch on and smirked as he went back to the book.

"D-ranked missions are of no threat and no real importance. These type of missions are given to genin who just graduated from the academy. Examples of a D-rank mission include cleaning statues within the village."

"CHORES?!" Batsu exclaimed loudly as he grimaced. He hated chores. Hell, he cleans the rooms in his parent's house and never gets an accolades there. Why SHOULD he clean statues and such?

The Librarian, who was shocked to hear someone speak, especially since she never knew of another's presence, looked up from her book and shushed Batsu loudly.

Embarrassed, Batsu lifted the book to his face and sank in his seat.

Batsu flipped the page and continued reading.

"Chapter Two:Teamwork

Every shinobi must learn that they are a part of a team, which is a part of a much larger team.
Students are placed in balanced teams of three. Strengths, weaknesses, and areas of expertise are all determined when that said team is made. For example, a team may be constructed into a taijutsu user, a ninjutsu user, and a genjutsu user."

Batsu pondered who would be the taijutsu user and the ninjutsu user in his team. At least he hoped to have one of each on his team since he wanted to learn genjutsu more than anything.

"Teams must always work together to accomplish the mission. hopefully, the three consisting members will become attuned to each other in order to make 'the flow' go easier and smoother. a messy team will not accomplish much and can easily be sent back to the academy for more training."

Batsu shuddered at the thought. He would hate to make it out of the academy just to turn around and have to enroll again. to him, that would not only be a waste of time, but it would be embarrassing to sit in the midst of a classroom filled with younger kids.... again.

Batsu shook the thought off and went back to reading.

Chapter Three: Taijutsu

Taijutsu is basic hand-to-hand combat. It requires no chakra most times and are the easiest to pull off. it requires no hand seals and relies solely on a person's strength and speed for execution."

Batsu skimmed through the chapter unenthusiastically. Taijutsu was boring to him and he could care less about using it.

"Chapter Four: Ninjutsu

Any type of technique that requires the use of handsigns and chakra is known as ninjutsu. ninjustu cause actual body harm when connected tagainst an opponent and are can be 'trademarked' by other ninja when used as their specialty.

Chakra can be used in five different types based on affinity. Normal, or no affinity, water, fire, wind, earth. There are shinobi who possess more than one affinity however."

"Ninjutsu is categorized into two techniques, Shape Transformation and Nature Transformation.

Shape Transformation deals with controlling the form, movement, and potency of chakra.

Nature Transformation usually deals with changing the physical properties of chakra into an element.

Either the other or both can be used went executing ninjutsu."

(( confused On failed rolls your supposed to roleplay why you failed rather than just carry on as normal. I'm getting a very copypasta vibe from this and I'm sure the mods will too, add a little personality to the roleplay too.

And on a more personal note, the bolded double spaced text ... it doesn't look good. ))

((Not to make excuses, but I did do the reasoning thing in the following post. I ignored when I was occupied elsewhere. But I will do better. *edits post style as well*))

Batsu scratched his head in confusion for a while. He couldn't quite get the grasp of using chakra and all that jazz... especially shaping the chakra and using what was called 'nature manipulation'. But to be honest, he wanted so desperately to get to the portion he cared about... genjutsu.

Genjutsu was what his older siblings were known for. In fact his eldest brother, Aki, was the one who first told him about the style of fighting in the first place. In a way, he looked up to his eldest brother. Well, mainly because he was the one brither who didn't pick on him. In contrast, his older two brothers and older sister were the ones who used genjutsu on a younger Batsu.

Batsu glanced off to the side as he remembered those times and went back to the book and flipped a page.

"Chapter 5: Genjutsu"

Immediately, Batsu sat up and smirked a bit as he started reading again.

Genjutsu are techniques that focuses on illusions rather than physical tactics. Genjutsu affects more of the psyche of an individual as opposed to a person's body. Genjutsu is applied when a person extends their chakra flow through the cerebral nervous system of their opponent to control their mind's chakra"

By now, the boy was so into the book that the slightest distraction would anger him. He hated to be distracted when he was in the middle of something... and right now, he was deep into reading.

But, oddly enough, he was have trouble when the book discussed utilizing chakra in the ninjutsu chapter. Now, it was coming to him clear as a bell. Batsu started to realize just how important chakra control was to him, especially for his style of fighting.

He was now convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that genjutsu was right for him.

Batsu wanted to go ahead and close the book, but he was nowhere near done. Besides, what good would starting a book be without finishing it? In his mind, useless. So the boy kept reading.

"Training"

"In a shinobi's world, training the mind, body, and spirit is essential for growth and development of a ninja. Think of it this way; a baby must develop his motor skills in order to crawl, walk, and run. The same principle goes for a young shinobi. Without motor skills (training), he cannot crawl (be a student), walk (graduate from the academy), and run (climb the ranks of the shinobi hierarchy)."

Of course, Batsu really didn't care about training. For a lack of a better term, the boy was one of... if not THE laziest people in the world. He would even be the one to tell you how lazy he was. He... didn't... care.

Well he was about to put the book down and find another on what he was TRULY interested in... genjutsu, but he sort of wanted to finish the book. He hated to NOT finish what he started. Despite the fact of being lazy, he liked to actually complete a task he began. So he just kept reading.

"Training ones' body makes a person stronger and more successful in the area in which they train. All of which are needed. Imagine a ninja who never trains, never learn, never achieves. How far would that ninja go? Not far, and if by some slim chance they graduate and become a part of a team, they would possibly bring that team down... granted if the other two shinobi trained normally."
