When Tesunie awoke, the dragon was growling lowly at Liam. Because the dragon could speak with the mind, and Liam's speech was so quiet, it was not evident what they were arguing about. Liam pounded a fist against the dragon's snout and shouted, "Do not speak to me so, beast!"
You have your proof! the dragon snarled, and then quickly lifted his head to look around. He had not meant to shout such a thing "out loud." When he swung his head back around to Tesunie, his movements did not seem steady. Get out from under me, little one. I wish to sit.
Of course, his shouting had woken the others, and the first to reach them was Lilith. "Oh no!" she exclaimed simply, sounding heart struck. "What have you done? You will surely lose your strength, now. Why must you take Tony away from us?"
Tony wished to say goodbye to his kin, now that death is near. Please forgive me, but I had my own purpose here.
As the two spoke, Liam turned away and disappeared into the darkness. Apparently, he had a new purpose as well. He had seen and spoken with a dragon, and Tesunie could not be more important than that.

Tesunie, wide eye still, even after waking up, backs away from the dragon. not necessarily from fear, but probably still surprise. He just didn't know what to do with the unfolding events. He had only heard of dragons in rumors and legends. To see one, in the flesh was almost overwhelming, still!
"W-w-w-what..." Tesunie just couldn't finish the sentence. You didn't really hear fear, but rather disbelief at what he was seeing.

The large beast curled up into a ball as it sat, but remained facing Tesunie. Have you nothing to say? he demanded, sounding frantic now. I am dying! I am dying for your people, hapless slaves of another world apart from my own!

"I-I-I did not know." The words somehow fell out of his mouth. His eyes fall to the ground, not able to look at the great dragon directally. "I thank you, then. For freeing me." He wanted to make sure that the dragon knew what he did was not in vain. "If there is anything I can do..." He trailed off, letting the rest speek for itself.

The dragon snorted. I hear the others coming, but I am fading fast. Tell Lilith that it is not her fault that we die. Tell her that the place she seeks is north from here, if you skirt around the mountains. The dragon lay his head down and closed his eyes. He was still breathing, but no longer speaking.
Lilith came up directly behind Tesunie. "What is going on here?" she demanded. "Cedric is too weak to be playing games like this!" She waited only a moment for his answer, then rushed up to the dying dragon.

"Is there anything I can do?" Tesunie had only seen death once before, and had no desire to see it again. Tears where starting to well up in his eyes, but didn't quite spill over.

The dragon let out its last, large breath. Nobody responded to Tesunie at first, but soon Lilith was coming towards him. "Did he say any thing to you, before he died?"

"Only that this was something he must do." Tesunie was at a lose. He just saw a great legendary dragon... DIE?!?! He was trying to remember if there was anything else, but nothing seemed to come to mind at the moment.

Lilith left him, and in the dark, it was hard to say if she were crying. Soon he could hear the sounds of every one else picking up camp. It seemed that people were in too much shock to actually talk to him and tell him what their plans were. (what, no directions? LOL poor Lilith) ((Go here))
