I don't know what ours are called...it's a hat...thats flat on top. With a purdy golden eagle. Kinda like this, except ours are blue and white:

These really ugly helmets with a white, feather mohawk. [Plumes that go down the length of the helmet].

Well, sorry 'bout all you dudes who wear that plume thingy. I get to wear the braie (how ever you say it) since tubas have no need for those silly little indian hats (but anyway, out hats are white with red plumes and a golden eagle on it)

We wear small marching Hats with a feather about 8 inches long on it. Its a short hat acaully... I'll try to get a picture... it makes my head feel fat...

we never get new uniforms but we were hats that barely sit on my head. its a good thing we are wearing them though because im in the front and my hair gets whipped around quite a bit.

We wear black marching hats with a little feather.

D: I didn't know there was a feather on it until AFTER they started passing them out at the games.

I'm not sure what they're called either. (I don't wear one cause I'm a souaphone. WE don't wear any kind of head gear) Here's a picture of our hats. (with us in 'em)

We wear this incredibly shiny bright gold hat with these HUGE dark green and gold feathered plumes that bleed on our nice WHITE uniforms if they get wet. (And have this nasty habit of catching the wind.)

I go to West Virginia University now, and the hats here suck.
