[Jaidev Vaswani: 5 + 5 = 10]

It was a hell of a thing, wasn't it. Diving through a strange rift in space, hopping from one bizarre sci-fi to the next, and once again there was an advancing army--and still, he couldn't see Felicity. Damn. This time, it was aliens, and it was the best he could do to keep running. He was glad for all the cardio work he did; it kept him relatively in the middle of the pack, mostly safe from the lasers whizzing by, even if he could still sometimes feel the heat of them blowing past.

He had no doubt that if he was hit, he would not enjoy the consequences. So he ran, and pushed for the next rift, ready to see what would be on the other side.

More lasers, probably, but it was nice to hope otherwise.

[Jolene Moriarty: 1 + 6 = 7]

By the time she got into the second strange landscape, Jolene was at least surer on her feet. She also took a moment to hike up her dress, and fiddled with her hair to remove one of the elastics holding part of her style in place. It let her hair down, but she could use ti to tie off her gathered-up skirt, so that when she had to run again, it was much easier.

This time, she wasn't nearly so close to the strange, alien attackers, and she was more firm on her feet, so even though lasers whizzed past and she felt their heat on her skin, she didn't pause. She was going to make it out. That was that, there was no other option.

[Levi Burningham: 7 + 3 = 10]

Levi regretted taking his moment, because it meant that he was slow to start when the second onslaught came. He'd thought having to run from one sci-fi army would be more than plenty, but apparently not, and this time, there was absolutely bizarre gravity to contend with. He couldn't seem to keep his feet under him--stumbling and tripping and nearly tumbling forward, all the while trying to avoid the potentially deadly rain of laser fire.

He swore he felt something score across his arm, but he didn't have time to check the damage--not when he was sure that if he stopped, there would be far, far worse.

[Caerwyn Hesperos: 9 + 4 = 13]

It was just getting worse.

Caer had managed to avoid the worst of it from the robots, staying towards the front of the running pack and avoiding any horrible danger. That was a good start, he figured; better to get ahead early than to have risked actually getting caught. He'd stumbled through the rift in space and let out a breath and hoped there would be actual relief.

There wasn't. Just more science fiction horror, and more risk, and more danger. And this time, Caer couldn't quite seem to get the hang of the gravity on this bizarre planet, wherever it was. He flailed, and fumbled, and stumbled, trying to get a grasp on where he needed to go, and as he did, lasers whooshed by him. Never close enough to do any damage, but close enough to hear the explosions and feel the heat.

This was a nightmare, and god, Caer just wanted to go home. To Salem and Freya and safety.

[Mirielle Lacroix: 6 + 4 = 10]

Mirielle was not having a good time, to say the absolute least. Sure, she'd made it through the first little nightmare on Mayberry Street with no problems, but that wasn't saying much. Now, here she was in the next episode of Dr. Who, with no TARDIS, no sonic screwdriver, and certainly no Time Lord regeneration, so she knew that she would be in very big trouble if one of those laser bolts hit her.

The problem was, she also didn't have anything to equalize out the gravity, so when she hit the ground running, she took a while to get steady on her feet. That meant she got to feel the heat of a passing bolt, and her heart jumped into her throat.

"Oh, s**t," she said, softly, and then she took a deep breath and ran, booking it for the next rift and, she expected, the next bit of danger. Whatever this was, she hated every second of it, but she wasn't just going to lay down and let things end here.

[Abigail Oxton: 7 + 6 = 13]

Abbie paused, hearing someone--Kailey--call her name. "Kailey? Kailey, is that you?" She shouted, whirling and searching the crowd for her friend or any of the others. "Lulu? Hania?"

It wasn't like there was much time to pause and try to catch up, though. There was only a moment to register everything going on, and to even giggle breathlessly at the bumbling astronauts, before her eyes trailed to what the astronauts seemed afraid of, and she was forced to acknowledge an encroaching army of little green men. Her heart stopped in her chest, and she whirled, launching herself forward. It took her a little while to find her footing with the new planet's strange gravity, which was very bad, because she could feel and hear lasers whooshing past her, leaving trails of heat behind them, and explosions rocked near her, knocking her off balance.

"Oh, ******** me," she grumbled, as she ran. This whole thing was just terrible.

What the <********> was going on here.

Nataniel knew that Destiny City was a hot spot for many absurd and inexplicable happenings, but this was truly utter nonsense that he was less than thrilled to be part of. And as per usual there didn't seem to be any reason or cause for it. A part of him was tempted to say 'screw it' and see what happened if the static caught him, or if it would be hurt to be struck by a laser. It didn't seem as though this could be anything more than a hallucination. There were often these type of magically-induced hallucinations during large-scale events...

The pull of an unfamiliar gravity caused his pace to slow, anyway, so it would just be easier to learn what would happen if he was caught... But a woman he remembered seeing at the gala (no one he knew, just a stranger who'd happened to be there and Nat had happened to see and remember her bright shock of yellow hair) was zapped by a laser.

She shrieked in agony and crumpled to the ground to be swallowed by the static, and there was no evidence to expressly determine whether she was or was not still around in any plane of existence.

He had to press on.

Fortunately, it wasn't too difficult to get used to the low gravity, though there were still hordes of people to try and dodge, and there seemed to be a lot more ways for someone to get in the way- up, down, and around. But something else waited on the other side of the next tear. He just had to get there.

Hux ~ Rolls: 6 + 9

Hux gave a nod, understanding that Alex meant that the woman was a Captain. However that was a conversation that would have to continue later.

The instinctual snap to his spine when his cousin's tone went full military was something he had gotten used to over the years but it didn't do much for him until they were finally connected and not getting swept away in the crowd. Hux kept a tight grip on Alex so they weren't pushed apart again, very tempted to just pick up the smaller man but knowing it wouldn't be advised. "Well the situation just got worse then if we can't power up but yeah lets stay together the best we can."

Thankfully they weren't torn away from each other by the time they got to the tear in the horizon, in fact the electricity like feeling made Hux grip Alex harder. When he focused on the area they were now his eyes went wide when he realized they were on the moon. "Toto we aren't in Kansas anymore." He said, not actually directing that to his cousin.

And then the screaming started up again and now they had to deal with alien's firing lasers! "Time to go again!" He yelped and started to pull Alex along to the next tear in reality. He himself didn't seem like he was having much trouble as he was somehow avoiding any shots and was bouncing along with no trouble.

Gigi Gennaro – 9 + 8
Total = 17

Gigi leapt through the tear, the shiver of electricity frizzing her curls as it jolted through her. Even though it didn’t really hurt, it threw off her focus, and she braced for a rough landing as the 50s robot invasion gave way to… black.

She bumped to the ground, bouncing up again slightly before landing again. Stars above, and the Earth too. Had they gone back to the Moon?

But it wasn’t Cosmos, it was more retro TV characters, astronauts this time, with all the silly silver trimmings. Gigi got to her feet, slowly, as a shift in the gravity made it feel like she was on a trampoline with about ten other people. It shook the astronauts too, and like the small town before, they started screaming.

Gigi didn’t wait to find out if it was her, or the rip, or more robots that scared them. There was another tear in the distance. She started running again, long strides now, like she’d use as her alter-ego to leap building to building. It seemed to work, whichever way gravity tried to pull her. She was making progress.

Bolts of laser-light peppered the area, and Gigi crouched in her run as the spaceship blew up. Now she looked behind her, at the laser-toting putty aliens (exasperating), and the hungry static (terrifying). There were other real people running with her, from one tear to the next. Still not safe to power up.

She put her head down and kept running.

Myles - 5+5 (10)
Myles let out a startled noise as the scene shifted rapidly. The old school city-scape? That was cute. Being on the Moon? He was pretty sure it didn't look like this but, then again, he wasn't exactly a professional. And, he hadn't seen little aliens or astronauts, but then--he wasn't a very good Senshi anyway, so who knew? If this was the actual moon, it really did look like all the movies. He might have admired it more--if lasers weren't being shot at him. He made a surprised noise of pain and hurriedly scampered with the rest of the group. He was naturally off balance and jittery--these strange bursts absolutely weren't helping.

Alexei - 10+10 (20)
Space. Great. Just what Alexei wanted to be dealing with. He hated this--hated that he could show up to a stupid public function and do everything right and it could still end up like this.

He wasn't the sort to lose his cool--he couldn't afford to. People might have been panicking, but it didn't mean he could. In an ideal world, he could have powered up and actually done something about this. Instead, he didn't really seem to have any choice but to proceed forward with the crowd. He was fortunate, though--his need to be prim and proper and make a good appearance seemed to be benefiting him as he navigated towards the strange exit with the rest of the crowd.

Loren - 9+5 (14)
This wasn't the sort of evening Loren had been expected, and if he could have had his way he would have taken it all back. He'd have dealt with the rain, he'd have found somewhere else to go--something. Anything.

Hindsight, though. This was far from a perfect situation and he was going to make the best of it. He hurried with the crowd, trying to ignore the heat from the lasers. Loren had always been good at controlling himself--at least, around anyone but his younger brother. He was a nobody in this crowd, but he wasn't going to die here. He moved with the crowd, bumping along with people and just trying to do his best to keep moving forward.

Leander - 8+10 (18 )
Luck was on his side and Leander wasn't foolish enough to think that this was anything but that. Everyone here seemed to be having rotten luck, but at least he was managing along with the group a bit better than the others. He clutched his camera tightly, protectively, afraid that everyone running around him might accidentally jostle and break it.

He couldn't afford that, not when he was just now getting his life together. It was a good camera--worth protecting. He kept his body hunched, protecting it from the lasers, from the crowd. He just wanted to get out of here and go home.

...And get paid, too.

Hell, maybe someone might even pay a little extra for some proof of this adventure.

As safely as he could, he began to discreetly take photographs of the area as they ran.

Soleiyu - 5+8 (13)
Soleiyu wanted to go back to being a cat. The pros of being a cat: it was harder to hit him with lasers. He was fast. He wasn't a very good target. The cons? Maybe he'd be under their feet. But this? He was human, in a body he felt like he could barely control. On--what, what was this? The Moon? No, a cheap imitation of it, maybe.

But Soleiyu knew better. He looked at the landscape disdainfully, scorned the mockery--and as a laser blasted by his head, seemed to realize that now was not the time to criticize...whatever this was.

He needed to keep moving and get home.

...Even if he wanted to explore. Just a little.

Ah, but the static. He didn't know what would come of it, but he had the distinct impression of some fading world and he did not want to be erased with it.
