Ilian Jones (aka General Jet)
Instinctive or not, Ilian grabbed hold of Aquamarine’s shoulders when he was shoved from behind, keeping him from falling. He frowned at their situation, not entirely sure what to do at this point. No one was screaming like they were being attacked and eaten at least. For now. Just annoyed like Aqua or others who were scared.
“Hey, careful with that. Swinging that around might just piss them off,” he pointed out, although he wished he had his own weapon with him. Whatever these things were would have a much more difficult time getting close to them if he did.
“Let’s just try to get out of here,” he said, trying to see through the darkness if anyone was heading in a certain direction. Maybe someone else would find a way out for them.

Sailor Polyhymnia Roll: 6There was a beat of silence before, "Well, I knew that much at least. Or figured as such, that they were still human beneath it all. My fear, my worry is more about them trying to take advantage in the darkness here and trying to hurt someone -- hurt me instead of focusing on getting home. I know the world isn't black or white, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to be terrified of what could happen. If I was the kind to attack others, I'd absolutely take advantage of the situation and go for it." She let out a sigh, standing up carefully with her hands balled into fists at her sides. "Safety in numbers sounds really, really good right about now, not even gonna try to hide that. And I'd absolutely love Brioche continuing to keep me company but are -- is there -- are you going somewhere else, Arthur?" Her voice grew softer a bit towards the end, another fear rippling through her at the thought of her friend going out into things on his own. But she didn't voice that thought, that fear, instead keeping it to herself. She wouldn't be the one to hold anyone back.

Tinaksite9Tinaksite felt a thrill of triumph when she hit the monster on the head and had visions of herself swooping in and scooping up her friend, carrying her to safety though…
…if she was being eaten…why was the monster saying that he wasn’t eating her? And why was Lavendulan asking her to stop…and hugging the monster and…
The captain’s righteous fury seemed to drain away as though a plug had been pulled and she hesitated, reaching down and softly patting the teal hair of her friend. “…You are not being hurt? He is not…eating you?”
She sounded utterly confused, frowning deeply, and finally her eyes slid to the other half youma and she tried to take in his appearance, looking confused. “You are not…of the shadows? You really are not eating my friend?” Tinaksite couldn’t quite believe it but she hesitated and knelt now beside Laven, still patting her head. “…I did not mean to attack, then…I thought…you were hurting her…She is my friend.”
Her best and only friend.

Capt. Wolframite He wanted to take that flail and shove it down the woman's throat! He wanted to tear in into pieces and make her a porcupine with the slivers!
Growling, he turned when Laven moved between them and all but collapsed on the group. Concern mixed with anger as he moved to her alongside the stranger before Laven confirmed she knew her. This, for now, kept the thoughts of murder as just that - thoughts.
"Of course I'm not eating her! I'm a half-youma just like her. We're friends!" He shouted back at her before wincing, touching his head where he was hit and already feeling the bump starting to grow.
"I'm Wokfrsmite. I'm trying to get us home. Teleporting isn't working." He said as he turned to out a arm under Laven's arm and behind her back to prop her up and pull her to his side. She could lean into him better and he worried that if something came from behind, they would grab her. This way he had a hold of her.
"Tina? Do you know a way out?"

Mia Seidel*RNG: 2Mia was relieved to find that she was now in close proximity to the other woman, who seemed in relatively good spirits considering the situation. Apparently others nearby were acquaintances, considering the callout to this "Ananke." The stranger seemed cautious and a tad quirky, walking forward with a suspicious look to completely destroy whatever personal space bubble once surrounded the civilian. What was more, she soon found herself being poked, prodded, and patted. She was more patient than would be expected with the examination, only wincing slightly when her cut cheek was aggravated by the tugging. Seemingly convinced that Mia truly was standing there, the lady burst into chatter. An offer to take care of her wounds? The redhead didn't look like any form of doctor, and there were no medical supplies just lying about. The historian was sure her confusion was evident on her face. "Take care of it... how?" she questioned, holding her more pained elbow in support with her opposite hand. Before she could even continue on so far as to inquire after her new friend's name, someone else came stumbling out of the darkness. Ananke, Mia presumed, calling the would-be healer Adorea. That answered that question quickly. This place seemed good about immediate responses, whether in the form of verbal answers or bashing into things. Or monsters. Speaking of monsters, this Ananke was mentioning something very similar to what Mia's attacker had felt like. So either there were more of them or it was very fast. From the sounds in the emptiness, she was willing to bet on more. The way they were shoving people, was everyone being herded somehow? Like sheep, a needling little voice in the back of her mind taunted. But now that she was listening hard again, there was something more. Amongst the voices and rustles, there was a faint tune. Music? "Does anyone else hear that?" she asked, lightly interrupting the reunion and moving a few steps toward the sound. "Or is my head trauma playing tricks on me?"

Lt. Lavendulan - Half Youma 5Had this been any other situation Laven would have felt proud of Wolframite for not biting off Tinaksite’s head, literally, for her wrong assumptions and attacking him with her flail. Her own shoulder was proof of the damage he could cause with his teeth through hardened scales, it was only a wonder what would have happened if it had been through flesh. Even so she was sure he had been holding back. However, as things were, the only thing she could do was focus on their voices and the arm that held her protectively against Wolframite’s side to try and calm her racing heart and quick shallow breathing. Laven was but a simple girl in small boat lost at sea amidst a storm and he was the anchor she desperately needed before the waves swallowed her whole and her youma nature took over as it nearly did mere minutes ago. Just like in the hallway entrance to the Rift, Wolframite’s presence was the only thing that helped her make it through to the other side. While in there, Laven’s mind warped and twisted what-if scenarios on what could possibly happen if one of those that guard the hallway where to grab ahold of and drag one of them into the walls. Now it felt like she was trapped living through that very nightmare. Then she heard him ask, a bit more calmly, if Tina knew of a way out. At that, Laven turned her head to the side and looked at her friend, a captain as he was and fully capable of defending herself. Behind those terrified glacial blue eyes was a desperate need for her to say yes so they could leave this damn place.

Irkalla, Page of Cosmos (( 7 + ? ))"So Destiny City once again puts the "special" in special occasion. Why do I even bother with this anymore?" Perhaps it was selfish to think such unpleasant thoughts but Irkalla, Page of Cosmos didn't seem to think anyone could hear her. She'd been minding her own business, going about patrolling, when the unpleasant sensation of being physically dragged into lengthening shadows came over her. More often than not this was why Kathryn (or rather Irkalla) didn't appreciate the irony that she had been chosen, somehow, to fight the forces of evil in Destiny City. The woman glanced around at the surroundings in which she found herself in. Pinpricks of light ahead and the discovery that she too was radiating a soft glow had the Cosmos Pages putting two and two together. It was becoming obvious that she wasn't alone in this darkened void. Other residents of the city were trapped too then. After cursing under her breath from ramming her foot into an object just left lying around the brunette figured nothing else could possibly go wrong but as she circled the outskirts of the gathering that was growing closer and also larger the sensation of being watched, being appraised, and being singled out began to register on the edge of her awareness. Something else was out there - stalking ever closer ... or was it only her imagination? As a cold breath passed over her neck Irkalla swung her string of ornaments back in pure reflex. Having it bounce back off something meant it was not her imagination. Something was most definitely out there. Safety in numbers was looking like a fine idea. One that she quickly decided on as she darted into the center of the crowd. [[ Open for Interaction. Still a Page of Cosmos ]]

RNG: 7 Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter
“And if finding a way out doesn’t work,” Sessrumnir said feeling more amused than he probably should when they were stuck in some strange void, “There’s always self-destruct.”
A joke, of course. Obviously, Janeway only managed to successfully self-destruct the ship once. In the second season.
The irony that they were likely in an alternate dimension or reality did not go by him.
“What do you think? No random flashing lights, so I’d say Borg is out. More likely eight-four-seven-two.”
It was all a distraction, of course. He didn’t like the fact that they were obviously being circled and tested. He felt something brush past him. It clearly had some muscle to it, and was covered in fur.
Getting out and home would be really great. Quote: Open for others to join up!

Corrupt Meridiana 4Meridiana could feel as a stronger aura belonging to an order senshi approach her from the side and for a moment contemplated running away. But the distance between them was full of shadows and hidden debris that she found herself rooted in place. Like her, they too were lost and in need of another light to follow and so she remained in place until they caught up. If they chose to attack her she would simply use her magic on them and leave them as bait for the shadows to toy with while she, in turn, ran away. But then she heard her name called out from a familiar voice and without fully thinking of the consequences of her actions she closed the remaining distance between them and threw her arms around the purple eyed blonde haired man she had claimed as her own and had chosen to protect. “Adria!” She spoke his name upon an exhale and just held on to him for a few moments until her nerves calmed down. For as far away from everyone as they were, Meri really didn’t care if anyone saw her reaction to him. “Are you ok?”

Aiden Hale 2“I’m not the one that needs to be reminded to not run off.” Aiden glanced down at Alexandre and took ahold of his hand. Not being able to power up put him at a major disadvantage, but not even being able to utilize his parkour because he can’t even see the obstacles in their way made things even that much more worse. “Pick a direction and let’s go.” Hopefully someone here was powered and could help him keep his boyfriend safe. It sucked having to rely on the aid of others, but what other choice did he have?

Naos had begun the evening normal enough, by deciding to patrol, but as the dark of the night settled in he had begun to notice that it was also....odd. It seemed the shadows would move and shift on their own. He tried desperately to ignore it first, memories of another, similar event that happened just the other day still fresh in his mind, but the choice of ignorance was taken away when it seemed as if the darkness had settled in quick moment.
And that was when Naos knew he was in trouble.
At that point he was sprinting, then running, but the shadows seemed to have none of it, and it helped nothing when he felt it get just a bit too close, the small feel of fur enough to send him flying down the streets, looking for someone, anyone.

Alexandre EvansScore: 6"I suppose I deserve that." Especially considering how much he wanted to yell, and shout, for whatever was here to show itself. He would fight it without powering up and having a weapon, if he had to, he did not like not seeing the enemy and not being able to deal with it. He wanted to just run into things right now and deal with them, so he and Aiden could get out of here.
"Mmmm..." Looking around he shook his head. "let's head that way." Pointing towards a group of lights. He just hoped someone from the Negaverse was in that cluster of lights, and that they didn't know who he was or call him by his powered name. He'd have no way of explaining that to Aiden, nor did he want to, he just wanted them to both be safe - especially Aiden. "I figure the more lights the better."(Not sure which group you wanna head to. So lost on which groups are around.)

The darkness alone was intimidating and disorienting. The creatures within it worsened it. Things were not going to get better so easily. The tinkling sound of carnival music played louder, though there was something off about it. It sounded hollow and echoed strangely. It played like a broken music box, haunting and eerie. Though the tune was still faint, it was now unmistakable. Suddenly, the entire ground lurched. It was like a fault had just opened up; the ground trembled and began to move. It was impossible to see, but it felt like the world was shrinking--closing up, swallowing the outskirts of this world. The sound of crunching in the distance made this a very likely possibility. The ground didn't stop moving afterwards; slowly, it began to spin--taking everyone with it. Quote: The world is shrinking! You cannot see what is going on anywhere, but in the distance there is the unmistakable sound of something closing in. You can feel it in the air as the stage shrinks. The ground has splintered in places, leaving a dangerous terrain and threatening the safety of all those in the area. In the center of it all the ground is spinning beneath you, as if everyone is standing on a disk slowly spinning clockwise. Roll to see how you fare!If you have a fourth stage character, RNG between numbers 5-10! If you have a third stage character, RNG between numbers 4-10! If you have a second stage character, a Mauvian Senshi, or a full Youma character, RNG between numbers 3-10! If you have a first stage character, or a humanoid Mauvian, RNG between numbers 2-10! If you have a civilian or a basic Mauvian, RNG between numbers 1-10! Quote: If you roll between 8-10 you feel the turbulence of the ground moving, but the patch of land you are on is stable--for now. You may already be on the spinning platform and suffer no damage, but if you aren't you need to make it to the center of the stage; the ground might be spinning, but at least it's still stable. You may have mild disorientation but suffer no real damage. Without the shadow creatures bothering you, you notice something strange in the distance: small sparks and tiny glowing orbs that seem to flicker in and out of existence like little wisps of fire bursting to life and immediately burning out. If you roll between a 4-7 you feel that the ground nearby you shifted, and while you didn't fall through a chasm it has left you off balance and disoriented. You receive no damage but you feel one of the shadow creatures behind you. You still cannot see anything, but it is stomping at the ground, headbutting and thrashing the air--and you. You need to move out of this area before the ground collapses. Your best bet is to make it to the center of the stage; the ground might be spinning, but at least it's still stable. If you roll between a 1-3, you feel the ground breaking apart beneath you; more than just falling, it feels like something is grabbing your feet and trying to drag you away. You manage to escape, but it's draining and you have to fight with falling debris that you can't even see. Even when you pull yourself out of the growing chasm, one of the shadow creatures seems is at your back, stomping and breathing and nipping. Your best bet is to make it to the center of the stage; the ground might be spinning, but at least it's still stable. Please keep track of your roll totals in bold red font at the top of your post! If you choose to, you may respond from the prompt you roll to or any prompt lower, but you cannot respond to a prompt higher than what you rolled! You can only roll once per prompt and if you make a mistake, simply strike out your post. Please do not delete rolls! You may continue to RP between prompts. The next prompt will be posted at ~10PM EST October 19th! While you can join at any point in the roleplay, you cannot make up lost rolls!

Illyria, Guardian Cat (( 4 + 5 + ? ))This was not Illyria's idea of fun anymore. All she had wanted to do was find a new geocache site and instead she had gotten sucked into this weird shadow dimension and worst of all she was just a tiny speck of a thing darting around peoples feet. It would have been very easy for someone to take a wrong step and inadvertently cause her to wind up with sore paws or worse, a sore and damaged tail. The fact of it was that the little Mauvian was eager for adventure, but this - this was too much.
As the ground lurched beneath her paws Illyria's ears pricked forward as she heard her name being called. Who else could it have been but Kami? She hadn't met anyone else lately and hope swelled deep inside her that maybe she'd not have to be going through this horrible experience alone anymore. Eagerly pushing herself to a better purchase her paws scrambled for a few minutes as she shook off whatever disorientation had befallen her. Her body trembled once as she took a small misstep. Straightening she darted into the direction that she just knew that Kami was coming from. Her paw steps were sure-footed but there was still something close enough that her fur continued to remain bristled. There was something in the distance that Illyria picked up on this time and she darted away, trying to lose the creature that was still stalking her. It was an awful thought to have but if she could get it to take interest in someone else she'd be free to locate Takamizawa.
"Kami, over here. Follow my voice."

10+8=18Annilisse was able to barely dodge the shadows. But they seem to now to multiply and get more and more worse. The music was getting louder and louder. She covered her ears. She hated the sound of it. And she just wanted it to stop. The ground moved and shaked like an earthquake. She had to do something quick or she might end up being swallow into the ground. She stopped and breathed. Luckily the ground she was on was stable, she just had to try not to move around too much. The only other things on her mind were the music, and the fact that something was in the distance something that felt like it was getting closer. ((119))
