At long last, the final blow is landed upon the flying youma and he is felled. The moment that he hits the ground, his body shatters into thousands of tiny granules, dissipating through the air in a fine dust. As his partner blows away on the wind, an enraged, furious roar escapes the tank. He lowers his head, raises his axes up to eye level and charges -
He makes it one step before his ankle begins to crumble. By the time his other foot has gone down, that one begins dissolving too. He struggles, as if unwilling to accept his demise, but he has nothing left.
Like his partner, he fades to dust.
Inside the forge, the fire gutters and dies, Lieutenant Strengite notices it immediately and can now walk inside and claim the gear that is clearly sparkling within the old coals.
Lepidolite lowers his axe and observes for a moment; his presence in this battle did not take a forefront but he had been steady and deliberate with each attack he made. He nods approvingly once he is certain their foes are fallen. He follows behind Strengite to claim the gear once it has been safely removed, and then turns to address the rest of the group.
“I'm impressed. Looks like we've gotten what we've come for. Let's head back to the tower, we'll see what everyone else's gotten into."

Lt. Chambersite
When he was finally able to get back on his feet, still feeling sore from being knocked back, both of the youma had finally been dusted and the gear had been found. Chambersite scrunched his face up in annoyance. He hadn't even been able to get a few hits in before being knocked down, and yet they were already defeated.
He would just have to get his hits in somewhere else. But for right now, they had all been told to meet back at the tower, and so Chambersite followed the others, just wanting to be done with all of it at this point. Though he knew he wouldn't be able to get back unless he had the help of a General. Such were the problems of the lieutenants.

Lt Strengite
Her attacks had been useless against the tank, the ground youma dude, but the floating b*****d was another story. Her aim was at least semi true since it still hit the flying guy, even if she was aiming at the ground MFer, and she beamed the little bugger with debris that she whipped at the duo from her position near the entrance of the blacksmith. She was so focused on the youmas that when they collapsed and turned to dust it took a moment to realize that it was darker where she was then it had been.
As if the back light of the forge had gone out, the heat that had been billowing against her back was gone as well. Turning Strengite realized that the forge that had been burning was now black and cold. More magical s**t, weary the Lieutenant took a few steps into the dirty building and noticed something sparkling among the remains of the fire.
Brows raised in surprise the curvy woman turned to tell Beni what she spotted but nearly ran into Lepidolite who had followed her into the smithy, or is it a blacksmith? She didn't even have to say anything since he spotted the same thing she did but unlike her he had no qualms sticking his hand into what had been a roaring fire just moments before. The crystal gear was pretty and surprisingly clean. Why not! Its magic right? ******** hell.
Shaking her head at this place they called the rift she left the smithy and muttered to herself as she rejoined her own general. "I need a month long shower now."
