Sayuri walked the extensive winding balconies of Uzushiogakure, she had lived most of her childhood here and now it was another step farther from her past. Given to Uzushiogakure after her mother passed from illness, she wanted to carve a path off her own. She ascended the massive stair case leading to the Kages Office. She was told that this would be the first a stop in one of many to her goal. She took each step carefully and rehearsed what she wanted to say to the Kage, her nerves were getting the best of her β Hello, Hi, Howdy β. The fact that she felt as if she would have to rehearse was a frustrating matter to her but she continued to look on the bright side. Sayuri walked to the door of the Kages Office and knocked the door; knocking three times... she awaited for an answer from there other side.

His smile vanished instantly. Instead, it was replaced by something that Karuto did not exhibit very much...anger. His eyes transitioned from their soft, welcoming, gaze into a harsh one and his frown showed even despite the beard. Chie's dismissive attitude and flippant nature, coupled with her belittling or Karuto's goals, had incited this mood. Add that on to the fact that both he and Saiko had given very similar responses yet he was the only one who was treated such only served to throw gasoline onto the flame. "Don't patronize me. My purpose has always been, and will always be, the protection of the weak." Karuto opened the door and nearly ran over the kid waiting on the other side but quickly walked past her. He needed to get out of the office before he said something that was crossing the line with the new Uzukage.
And, more importantly, he needed to work out some of this aggression.
Saiko watched as the woman placed the folder down and pointed at him, listening to her intently. As her eyes locked onto his one eye, it locked onto one of her as well, waiting for a turn to speak. After she was done speaking to Karuto, he could feel the hostility in the air that was coming from the man. Saiko waited for the man to leave the office before speaking once again, noticing the kid waiting at the door. "I will head out immediately. All I need is a direction. Any information on where to go, or who to speak with would be much appreciated." The man asked politely. Saiko would wait for any formation, perhaps a folder with what he needed. Once the information was conveyed he would leave with one last look at the pretty girl with the pink hair. "When I get back. I want a spar." He'd say on his way out. What better way to test the new Uzukage than to fight them.

Chie sighed at Karuto's reaction. A boy with a temper tantrum was nothing of value to her. She was much more interested in Saiko's response of wanting a spar. Since the boy dumbly proclaimed to be a ninjutsu master before, Chie would enjoy showing him that he was wrong. However, a young girl approached her door. She raised her hand and welcomed her into the room. "What may I do for you kid?" She asked with a smile. This genin was not familiar to her. She wondered if that was just going to become the regular sensation for her.

__ Zhi's brisk, soft footsteps brought her to a brief halt at the Uzukage's office door. It wasn't closed, so that was one less personal hazard for her. She peaked into the room and took note of the few others. Of course, the one she was most focused on was the one that lingered in an apparent position of authority. 'That must be the new Uzukage.' Zhi thought to herself after leaning back out of the doorway to make sure she looked presentable in her VORTEX uniform, mask and all. After checking herself over Zhi confidently entered the room. She only assumed it was okay to do so in this case since she and Tetsuhiko had been summoned here in the first place. "Eagle Eye Shadow: Tempest, reporting Uzukage-sama~!" Maybe she should've been more serious and less of her usual peppiness right now but oh well. After announcing herself Zhi slinked to the side of the room to wait her turn to be addressed. She didn't want to interrupt more than necessary if it could be avoided. Then again, hopefully this wouldn't take long. There was A LOT to do so she could get back into the swing of things and keep her promises.

Standing in the corner of the waiting room, watching as each new person enters and leaves the kages office on catching his attention from the big blonde man who a small voice in Hiroshi head was telling him to challenge the man to a fight but sensing that this man was very powerful in some way he fought the urge to do.
Closing his eyes to think until hearing the voice of what he though was a kid until looking up seeing what appear to be a young girl with blue hair wearing a strange mask that Hiroshi wasn't familiar to what the mask meant to the shinobi world. So he kept his eye on her as she made her way into the office.
Sorry for the short post and for taking so long to post back got sort of lost with the story from you taking over the Kage role

Sayuri walked through the door as the gigantic man was making his exit, he was unlike anyone that she had ever seen. She looked upon the Kage and bowed β Iβm Sayuri Moto. I was just seeing if I could get a headband, I just graduated. β She smiled as she saw someone in the corner of her eye waiting to speak to the Kage as well. She seemed to have come in the the middle of a rush to see her, she wanted to make sure that she was only here for a short time. Her mid grew curious of the massive man and she thought to seek him out later if the opportunity arose.

She sighed as Zhi arrived. She reached into her desk and grabbed a headband. She then tossed it across the desk toward Sayuri. "Karuto Raiken is in the village, and he's a strong person to rely on. If you're bored, then seek him out. Also there's a few other fun ninja are here. Be sure to not be afraid to say hello." She said with a wave. She then got out of her desk and moved to tug at the girl's arm. "Now I'm sure you have super fun ninja stuff to do! So you just go along and have a blast." She said in a hurry. She got the girl out of the office and noticed the other man. "If you need a headband, then here." She said as she placed one on the secretary's desk. She then moved back to her office and dropped a dozen of them on her assistant's desk. "Make sure I am not bothered again for this reason." She said. She then moved back into her office and slammed the door. "Where were you?" She snapped. She then moved to her desk and sat back in her chair. "And where is Tetsuhiko? Pinocchio better be here soon or else not even the blue fairy will be able to bring him back to life." She said sharply. Masato should be here also, but she needed at least two ninja for the goal that she had.

__ Zhi just watched and listened, even while other eyes were on her. She only briefly looked in Hiroshi's direction to acknowledge him before returning to her attention to the sassy new Uzukage. The way she hurriedly attempted to close any other business she had with the remaining novice shinobi nearly brought Zhi to a chuckle. She just rocked back and forth from her heels to the balls of her feet to preoccupy herself instead. Even the order toward her secretary made Zhi want to lose her composure, but she did her utmost to remain mostly all there when the door was slammed shut.
Only after the others had left would Zhi make her report. The blue fairy comment kinda threw even her off balance a bit, like just about everything else Chie seemed to be saying and doing lately, "Erm... well we were just doing our jobs by investigating some concerns in Miyoshi village, but I apologize for taking so long with the assignment. Operative Renaissance should be here momentarily. I might've gotten a little ahead of him since returning here." Zhi rubbed the back of her head apologetically then moved her hands to take off her mask. "Anyway... where was I? Oh yes! Miyoshi. So we ran into some other VORTEX operatives who were about to be wiped out by some rogue ninja along the way to the fishing village. I believe you probably heard about that by now since I sent them back with an update and their injured." Casually started twirling her mask around one of her index fingers by its strap as she continued, "We got to Miyoshi and it was just pure chaos. Someone had incited the local criminals and whatnot to stir up a riot amongst the population. To make things worse, I detected three warships approaching the port so Renaissance and I fortified everything after calming things down and evacuating the people to safety. We did a pretty good job repelling the invading force, considering that they didn't even step foot on Awajishima's shores. After interrogating the commander I found out that they were likely sent by Kogarashi and he hinted at other locations around the island being in their control." She stopped playing with her mask for a moment. A small scroll was taken out and tossed over to Chie's desk, landing perfectly in a vertical upright position without any unnecessary shaking or rattling.
Zhi pointed at it, "The fleet commander's head as well as those of the rogues encountered on the way to Miyoshi are there. Further information can be retrieved from those properly trained to do so, if you'd please." Bastet's Oinin training really ground those duties and procedures into Zhi. It was nice to actually put them to practical use too. "We were going to further investigate the locations of the hidden rogue bases, but some personal matters arose which ultimately called us back to answer your summons." At least with this Tetsuhiko didn't have to say much even if he did end up arriving soon. So far, Zhi felt like she could probably get along with this leader even if it just meant that she had to learn to more fully appreciate the brash yet in-control attitude of Chie.

Hiroshi took the headband off the deck and tied it around his sash, as he walked out the office pausing for a moment to remembering how long it took to ascend. Letting out a heavy sigh as he started the long walk back down
Chie listened diligently to the report. Everything that was said was confirmed previously by her Vortex operatives. She very much liked being the one told things. When Zhi finished her report Chie gave a nod. "Excellent. Now it's time for why I called you." Chie raised a folder and placed it on her desk. "I am sure that you are familiar with the former Kogarashi operative Taylor Childe?" She asked as she opened the folder. The boy's picture was front and center on the paperwork. "I have him on an assignment with the recently converted Shinsei Sanada. They're on a mission to gather all possible rogues who are not affiliated with Kogarashi to see if they can be rallied against the rogue group." She said. "But in order to make it work, I need to make sure that these rogues truly do not have relations. So please track Shinsei and Taylor and make sure they're actually doing their jobs. Don't get caught, especially by the rogues that they're looking for." She said sternly. She knew that there was history of Zhi and this rogue back in Suna, but now they were in Uzu.

__ Tetsuhiko walked into the Kage's office after Zhi. He theatrically put his hands in front of his mouth in a shocked expression when he saw Chie in charge. The puppet boy was incredibly expressive in his shock. "Chie! You're the new sovereign?!" Tetsuhiko ran up to hear with his surprised expression still maintained until he spontaneously broke out into a dance. "Congratulations, darling! I always knew you'd do great things!" Tetsuhiko broke all decorum with his excitement that Chie had advanced to village leadership. "I should've known that you seeing me in action would inspire you to rise to leadership. That's what good performances do, you know." Somehow the human puppet found a way to make this about him. "Just remember that leaders rise and fall, but art will always remain to inspire the next generation. Take the word of this immortal." He did not care much that his loud speech to her was disrupting what others were talking to her about. He of course had waited for her to finish talking to the others so that she could hear him properly.

__ Zhi was rather surprised by how well the Kage took the report of invading rogue ninja forces being repelled from their shores. 'Huh... well, okay then.' Then it became evident that part of the reason it seemed that was was because the Uzukage had a particularly specific and somewhat personal mission for her. Listening to her orders, Zhi only considered how convoluted such a plan seemed from her perspective. However, it wasn't her place to question those orders. If this leader wanted to attempt to use the rogues who had been turned on their nation then that was just how it would be. To hear that Taylor and this Shinsei Sanada fellow were being used as spies and underground recruiters in the criminal underground came off as an interesting ploy. 'She... really has trust issues. I mean- I get it, but dang!' Zhi finished thinking to herself while Tetsuhiko finished his vibrant interjection in the best "normal" way he could. "I will take this mission, Uzukage-sama. However..." Now would probably be the best time to mention that her abilities had taken a drastic and forceful change thanks to what happened with her time-hopping paternal figure. "I should inform you that my sensory abilities aren't as great as they were. For whatever reason, I can only detect a fraction of my previous potential. Something... weird happened on the way back to the village from our last mission and now everything is different. I won't let it get in the way of your expectations for me on this mission, though." Maybe she couldn't sense the whole of Awajishima and then some anymore, but what she did still have was plenty to tail a couple guys for awhile.
Zhi placed her mask back over her face again and also said, "One question though: how long do you want me to keep an eye on those two during their mission?" Zhi was trained to be an elite tracking shinobi even without her sensory powers. She could pick up on their trail even if they attempted to cover their tracks, more likely than not. Zhi wouldn't show the concern she felt for her friend here, especially not with all this suspicion lingering. The mask would better help to hide that anyway. Even though she had just returned home from a long investigation she was being deployed on another that could potentially take just as long, if not longer. At the very least, she still needed to stop by the hospital to get a checkup before heading out again. Times like these made her wish that she had a tireless puppet body like Tetsu.

Chie took a deep breath when Tetsuhiko came into the room. She allowed the puppet boy to spiral through all of the emotions he needed to, and say what he needed to say. She thought it was smarter to do so than to try and argue all of the theatrics. She felt as though it worked well enough, since Tetsuhiko ended it on some sage advice that he probably read from the bottom of a snapple can. Chie was alarmed, however, when Zhi mentioned that her sensory powers were weaker than originally planned. "That kind of defeats the point that I had for you, since you can no longer hide in the way that I needed you for." She gave a deep sigh. "This is awful." She took a deep breath. "Well, spilled milk and all of that. Find me please a sensor then who can do the job. A hyuuga should do the trick." She said.

The limitations of this are as such. First of all, the technique works passively only up to one rank below Chie's current Korabo level. This means that if Chie's Korabo level is A-ranked then it can only be used at a B-ranked potential, which means that Chie can only Korabo two B-ranked techniques to use the korabo skill at A-ranked. This assures that this benefit does not allow the user to passively perform techniques one rank higher than they can usually. Second of all, this technique only applies when Chie korabo's with herself. If she korabos with an ally or a clone then this benefit is non-applicable. Finally, an additional charge of 10 chakra per rank of the final product technique is required to be paid. So if the user Korabo two B-ranked techniques, (the user must also pay for each individual skill), then the final technique would be an A-ranked skill, and thus would cost 50 more chakra to perform this way.
